Olympic hammer thrower Gwen Berry's history of offensive tweets has been uncovered after she snubbed the American national anthem during trials last weekend.
Berry, 32, made a variety of tasteless jokes and observations in messages dating back up to ten years, but which are still visible on her account.
The athlete - who insisted that the National Anthem is racist - posted tweets mocking about Chinese, Mexican and white people.

It will be fun to watch American millennial athletes embarrass themselves at the Olympic games in Tokyo.
Watch if you want. I won't. F 'em.
This woman’s taste in makeup is so bad that the Red and the Blue Lipsticks she wore made her lips look like they could suck off a Sperm whale. /sarc /nasty /funny, as Dave of “Storage Wars” would say, “YEP”!
"Hireling" is a reference to the mercenaries the British hired to try to defeat the Americans in the Revolutionary War, most notably the Hessians. Germany was in a very bad way in those days, incredibly still suffering from the effects of the 30 Years War. They enlisted for the British, but many of them stayed on in America after the War to seek a better life.
"Slave" is something an educated American should understand, but given the state of American education at both the high school and college level it's not surprising our "elites" don't get it.
"Rule Britannia" is a popular patriotic song to this day. One phrase is: "Rule, Britannia! rule the waves: "Britons never will be slaves."
That is a reference to the Spanish Armada and the many wars with France. The meaning is that American Loyalists were willing to be "slaves" to King George and his British tyranny (see, Declaration of Independence) and betray the previous generation of Britons who rejected slavery, i.e. tyranny.
The song has absolutely nothing to do with the institution of slavery in America. By the way, slavery was still legal throughout the British Empire in 1812. NYT, maybe you should actually read some history.
“Berry claimed she specifically has an issue with a line in The Star-Spangled Banner, which she says alludes to catching and beating slaves.
Berry said: ‘If you know your history, you know the full song of the national anthem, the third paragraph speaks to slaves in America, our blood being slain...all over the floor. “
They actually say this. She was taught it by the media.
They crazy.
Ghetto
Most America haters are hate-filled racists
I didn’t even bother to research her complaint about the song. I figured it was bogus or a contrived over reaction.
Some folks hunt for any excuse to dump on our American customs and traditions.
Somewhere buried in Twitter is probably a couple Tweets where Gwen is laughing about a white victim of The Knockout Game. She seems that type of person whose first thought in the day is how angry she is at all things white.
Your explanation captures the early 19th century understanding of “hireling and slave” as used in the third stanza.
In addition, slave sometimes was used to forcibly conscripted soldiers of European states.
One other point. The Colonial Marines - formations composed of black freemen and runaway slaves recruited into British service - were present with the fleet (although it is unclear if they participated in the actual assault on Fort McHenry). In addition, they had been raiding the Chesapeake Bay in the run up to the battle and also participated in burning Washington DC.
So even if the reference is specifically to blacks, and there is no reason to believe it is, the reference could be directed toward these British black soldiers who were - if nothing else -enemies of the United States deserving of condemnation.
But these finer points of history are simply not relevant to the perpetually offended.
The best course of action is to deny the attention seeker the attention she wants and to hope she is bested in the hammer competition and gets no opportunity to display her petulant narcissism on the winners stand.
Turnabout is fair play, since the world now gets to mock her bizarre makeup, her hypocrisy and her stupidity. Enjoy the ridicule, Gwen. You earned it, and I hope it costs you endorsement deals and other opportunities in your athletic career.
If it isn’t an arrogant black women racist its a pink haired loudmouth lesbian
Aren’t her 15 min up yet?
She’s one woman who would seem better as a guy; surprised she hasn’t gone Tranny; then her world would be complete.
She’s 32 and nearing the end of her athletic career.
The bitterness of her contemplated future is evident.
