After injecting Americans with over 300 million doses of one of the mRNA COVID-19 bioweapon shots since December 13, 2020, the FDA has finally agreed to force Moderna and Pfizer to put warning labels on their shots over a “likely association” between the injections and heart problems, which they claim is “rare.” The warning comes as the vast majority of Americans who wanted one of the mRNA injections have already been injected, as demand for the shots has decreased to levels seen back in December, just after the shots were given emergency use authorization and were beginning to be rolled...

In honor of George Owell’s birthday yesterday, here’s a selection of our favorite quotes about freedom of speech, political correctness, and the First Amendment. “Political correctness is tyranny; just tyranny with manners.” – Charlton Heston “Censorship is telling a man he can't have a steak just because a baby can't chew it.” – Mark Twain “The right to speak freely does not include the right to be taken seriously. And it certainly doesn't include the obligation that others must supply you with a platform.” – Johan Norberg “Those who call for censorship in the name of the oppressed ought to...

The word 'caucasian' should be banned because it is 'associated with a racist classification of humans', according to five Cambridge and UCL scientists. Researchers said scientists should only use the term when absolutely unavoidable but refrain from 'usage where possible'. Authors of the article titled 'The language of race, ethnicity, and ancestry in human genetic research' said the term Caucasian was an 'old term associated with racist and pseudo-scientific classifications of humans'. Caucasian, they wrote, is 'an 18th-century term invented to denote pale-skinned northern and western Europeans, or in other archaic connotations a wider range of people based on skull...

Vietnam’s health ministry on Wednesday said the doses would be sent to nine northern provinces for “Vietnamese people living in communities neighbouring China, people who engage in trade and service exchanges with China, and Chinese nationals staying and working in Vietnam”. But the following day, the Chinese embassy in Hanoi...

On this date in 1574, Gabriel de Lorges was beheaded in Paris for treason. Known by the time of his death as the Comte de Montgomery (English Wikipedia entry | French) — though the title was punitively stripped from the man and his heirs, causing him to spit at the scaffold, “tell my children, if they are not able to reclaim their position, I curse them from the grave” — Lorges’ treason was going Protestant and fighting for the Huguenots in the wars of religion ravaging France. But his claim to fame, and indeed (if quite unjustly) one of the...

"an intelligence assessment of the threat posed by unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) and the progress the Department of Defense Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF) has made in understanding this threat." "U.S. Government (USG) personnel if and when they encounter UAP, so as to enhance the Intelligence Community’s (IC) ability to understand the threat." "UAP clearly pose a safety of flight issue and may pose a challenge to U.S....

In a new paper, economists from the University of Southern California and the RAND Corporation examined the effectiveness of pandemic lockdowns, using data from 43 countries and all 50 U.S. states.... The Rand Corporation and economists from the University of Southern California have released a new study examining the effectiveness of pandemic lockdowns, using data from 43 countries and all 50 US states. “We fail to find that shelter-in-place policies saved lives,” the authors report. In the weeks following the implementation of these policies, excess mortality actually increases—even though it had typically been declining before the orders took effect. And...

...Up to this point, Ohio failed to achieve even 50 percent of all residents to be vaccinated. The mixed results of the vaccine campaign has led some to question its implementation. Ohio GOP Gubernatorial candidate Jim Renacci criticized the decision by the DeWine administration. “The last 8 days Ohio has averaged 5300 vaccines, 1/3 of the state average 25 days before the Governor announced the Waste-A-Million giveaway. Whoever Created This should be fired. Fire DeWine In 2022,” Renacci said of the effort.... Other states that opted to follow DeWine’s initiative witnessed similar results. Nabarro suggested that there would be a long list of mutations of the Indian variant which would in some cases evade the protection offered by vaccines. “We will go from Delta to Lambda and then on to the other Greek letters, that’s inevitable, and some of these variants will be troublesome,” he said.... Several government advisers...

Chinese state media on Friday claimed the destruction of pro-democracy newspaper Apple Daily in Hong Kong was no different than American tech companies colluding to shut down the social media platform Parler. It also compared the Apple Daily shutdown, preceded by hundreds of police officials raiding its offices, to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) taking action against media outlets that violate broadcast standards. China’s state Xinhua news service railed against Western politicians for “smearing” China, demonstrating their “hypocrisy and double standards,” and interfering in China’s “internal affairs” by criticizing the crackdown on Apple Daily, raided by Hong Kong police...
