Days ahead of his summit with President Biden in Geneva, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the United States was being hypocritical in its criticism of the way his country handles internal dissent. During an interview with NBC News, Putin said Russia was no worse than the United States in this regard, and used the government's handling of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot as an example. He even pointed to the arrests of hundreds of suspects in the U.S. Capitol riot and the death of one rioter as proof that the U.S. also targets its citizens for their political opinions, just...

The Yom Kippur War was a war Israel almost lost. The accepted story is that Israel was taken by surprise; that Egypt and Syria managed to launch simultaneous attacks against an unprepared IDF. It turns out that the true story was more disturbing than that: Israel knew in advance, thanks to American intelligence, of the Arabs’ plans, but refused to engage in a pre-emptive strike because of its leaders’ fear of world condemnation. They were willing, that is, to sacrifice Israeli lives in order to limit the diplomatic damage that would likely result from a pre-emptive strike. This was...

Tom Hanks isn’t woke enough for National Public Radio, whose TV critic faulted Hanks for not going far enough in his recent New York Times op-ed in which the actor urged Hollywood to do more to address the role racism has played in U.S. history.

The Biden-Harris duo have embarked on their first foreign journeys as president and vice president of the United States. Vice President Kamala Harris’s two-day visit to Guatemala and Mexico to work on the “root causes” of the migration invasion into the United States was a complete disaster. She managed to garner sharp criticism of her performance from both sides of the aisle. President Joe Biden flew off to Europe to sign a new “Atlantic Charter” with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, attend both this year’s Group of 7 (G7) and NATO summit meetings, and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin...

When news came out about crackhead Hunter Biden suddenly taking up yet another career as a full-time "artist," all I could think of at the time was that this was a cleverly disguised means of taking bribes. Sell a painting at an inflated price, pocket the cash from the special interest, then return the political favor through the Big Guy. No one would be able to prove a thing. Now that some of the prices of Biden's pieces are coming out, let's just say the suspicion grows. According to Breitbart News: President Joe Biden’s scandal-plagued son Hunter Biden is reportedly...

Israel isn’t the only country that’s having to cope with a US administration threatening to undermine its security. President Joe Biden last week ordered a senior American diplomat to issue a severe formal rebuke to Britain for the way it is dealing with the European Union over Northern Ireland. Accordingly, Yael Lempert, the acting head of the US mission to the United Kingdom, issued a diplomatic reprimand to Britain’s Brexit minister, Lord Frost, and delivered a veiled threat that America’s proposed trade deal with Britain depended upon Boris Johnson’s government acceding to Biden’s demands. The noxiousness of this rebuke —...

Before there was Jordan Peterson, there was Carl Jung (my new book, Citizen Trump shows Jung’s hidden influence on Trump). He was one of the leading minds of the 20th century and a counter to Sigmund Freud. Jung, like Peterson today, used the archetypes of good storytelling to explore the culture-changing forces like Order vs. Chaos or the persona as the Shadow to disclose the role of the character in the larger world. Trump made his fortune tapping into the power of these stories, as he explains in his 2004 book, How to Get Rich. Peterson admits Trump might very...

A New Hampshire man who was charged over his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol says that he is running for Congress, WBTS reported on Monday. "In the long run, if you’re running for office, any attention is good attention, so I think it will help me," Jason Riddle told the NBC News affiliate. Riddle says he is running against Rep. Ann Kuster (D-N.H.) in the 2022 midterms, but he appeared confused as to whether defeating her would send him to Concord, N.H., or Washington, D.C. “I thought Ann was a state representative,” Riddle told WBTS. When...

A first-of-its-kind experimental vaccine designed to protect against Alzheimer's disease has passed the latest stage of human trials, scientists report in a new study. In a phase II clinical trial, the drug candidate AADvac1, developed by biotech company Axon Neuroscience, was shown to be safely tolerated by patients, and to produce a response against certain markers of the disease. In tests with 193 patients with mild Alzheimer's, 117 of the cohort received AADvac1, while the remainder acted as a control group, receiving a placebo instead. In the double-blinded, randomized trial, conducted over 24 months, the participants who received AADvac1 took...

Watching and reading some of the media coverage of the fighting between Israel and Hamas I am reminded of the libretto from Les Miserables, when Javert says, “The law is inside out. The world is upside down.” The world certainly is upside down, with Israel, the only open, liberal democracy in the Middle East being portrayed as the aggressor, while Hamas, an infamous terrorist organization, plays the victim. As of this writing, there is a ceasefire, and I am grateful that it is holding for the time being. But Hamas will eventually go back to trying to make good its...

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is to meet President Joe Biden at a summit Wednesday, has suggested that the hundreds of people arrested for rioting at the U.S. Capitol are being subjected to “persecution for political opinions.” ... “You are presenting it as dissent and intolerance toward dissent in Russia. We view it completely differently,” he said in an interview with NBC News broadcast Monday. He then pointed to the Jan. 6 insurrection in Washington when protesters barged into the Capitol to try to halt the count of electoral votes to certify Biden’s election victory over Donald Trump. “Do you...

The video shows the three women arguing before the fight breaks out. The second piece of footage shows the fight breaking out after the customer hurls iced water at the employee. As the customer storms toward the staff member, she received instant justice and finally got a...

A Liberty County man says his rights were violated when a divorce court judge ordered him to get a COVID-19 vaccine in order to see his kids. The court-ordered COVID-19 vaccine was listed as a requirement by the judge in order for Chris Staley to have visitation with his kids, according to Trinity County court records. The divorce docket dated 5/10/21 gives this order: "Both parents are to get vaccinated for COVID by end of this week." "He pretty much told me and her both that we were to get a COVID vaccination," said Chris Staley. "I shook my head,...

The Law of the Bureaucrat states simply: “The Bureaucrat is the smartest person in the room.” This Law has a huge impact on everyday life, and if fully understood, will make it clear that we must clean out all the Federal bureaucracies. Further, it demonstrates why Anthony Fauci felt free to pursue gain of function research in collaboration with the Wuhan Institute of Virology. And finally, it explains why he feels free to completely dismiss any criticism of his actions. Let’s break it down. Congress passes lots of laws. But Congress has no interest in actually dealing with the details....

A physician, two nurses, a professional athlete, a drug dealer and a lawyer who had nodded off in court. Teenagers, specifically a 14- and a 15-year-old. And a 7-year-old who got into a stash in her mother's purse. These are some of the types of people Dr. Christopher Colwell, the chief of emergency medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, has recently seen in the emergency room for medical issues related to fentanyl use and overdoses.
