You could call it returning to the scene of the crime. Anthony Weiner has rejoined the secret messaging app Confide, on which he had a months-long online sexting relationship with a 15-year-old girl. Users of the app — which allows people to communicate with messages encrypted for privacy that disappear right after they’re read and leave no digital trace — were shocked to see Carlos Danger is back in town. It seems that if Weiner’s personal e-mail was already saved in a user’s contacts, said Confide user got a message last week: “New friend. Anthony Weiner joined Confide. Send Anthony...

ABC News legal analyst and co-host of “The View” Sunny Hostin said on Friday’s broadcast it is “despicable” that “right-wing truth assassins” are trying to hide America’s history of slavery. Co-host Joy Behar said, “Nikole Hannah-Jones is a Pulitzer Price winning journalist for her work on the 1619 Project, The New York Times series that traces American history of Slavery. She is also a professor at the University of North Carolina who was set to be granted tenure — which is for life, as you might know — but after pushback from conservatives, she was offered a five-year contract instead…UNC...

We are part of a group of clinicians, scientists, and patient advocates who have lodged a formal “Citizen Petition” with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), asking the agency to delay any consideration of a “full approval” of a covid-19 vaccine. The message of our petition is “slow down and get the science right—there is no legitimate reason to hurry to grant a license to a coronavirus vaccine.” We believe the existing evidence base—both pre- and post-authorization—is simply not mature enough at this point to adequately judge whether clinical benefits outweigh the risks in all populations. The covid-19 vaccines...

...The Telegraph understands that the Queen was “told” about the name after the baby was born last Friday, rather than her permission being sought in advance. It suggests that if the Duke and Duchess chose the name to curry favour with the Queen and the wider Royal family, the tactic has backfired badly... Although there is little formal protocol around choosing baby names, particularly with great-grandchildren of the monarch, royal sources suggested there was a difference between the couple choosing to name their daughter Elizabeth, in tribute to the Queen, and using her pet name, which had only been used...

The Washington Post created the false impression that President Donald Trump ordered Lafayette Square cleared with “tear gas” to remove “peaceful protesters” for a “photo-op” last June 1. Those claims have been definitively debunked by an inspector general’s report from the Department of Interior, which confirmed the Trump administration’s story: that U.S. Park Police had already planned to enlarge the perimeter around the White House after violent attacks by rioters on law enforcement, and cleared the park using pepper balls, not tear gas. The report also confirms that it was the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, under the control of Democrat...

Nick Myhill, 18, was on a recreational fishing vessel off the south coast of New South Wales at the time of the incident, about 200 miles south of Sydney. Local law enforcement received a MAYDAY call shortly after the animal made contact with the boat. A COVID-19 VACCINE INSURGENCE MAY BE BREWING First, a video by Dr. Peter McCullough has appeared, linked below. It’s an hour and three-quarters long, so most folks won’t take the time to watch it. So, here’s a summary: a. Multi-drug regiments for early outpatient treatments (hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, azithromycin + other drugs) were actively suppressed by institutions and governments. Such regiments could have saved many lives. In spite of studies that showed their effectiveness, doctors were threatened with removal of their license―or worse (jail time). b. Mass vaccination of bio-actively vaccines have never been used before or even tested. These vaccines...

President Joe Biden will be holding a summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin later this week. It is doubtful Putin will find the encounter as enjoyable as the love fests he shared with former President Donald Trump. Trump made it abundantly clear that he wanted to be buddies with the Russian autocrat. When American intelligence agencies said the Russians had interfered with the 2016 U.S. presidential election and Putin denied it, Trump believed Putin. When Ukrainian officials asked Trump to help them defend themselves against Russian attacks, Trump took it as an opportunity to try to coerce the Ukrainians...

Diocesan-wide fundraising appeals have declined in recent years, a study conducted by The Pillar concludes. But the decline is not consistent across dioceses, and some local Churches have seen appeals grow in recent years, even with the Church in the U.S. battered over the last three years both by news that one of its most prominent cardinals was a sexual abuser and by increasing division over doctrinal and political issues. A special report from The Pillar looks at trends in diocesan annual appeals, and asks what they might signify for the Church’s ongoing fiscal health. After the the 2018 scandals...

There’s no prison (yet) for climate criminals, but if there was, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro would have a spider-infested cell all to himself. Now that Trump is gone, Bolsonaro - a.k.a. “The Trump of the Tropics” or “Captain Chain Saw” - is the most dangerous climate denier in the world. In his two years as president, Bolsonaro has presided over the destruction of about 10,000 square miles of the Brazilian rainforest, one of the most precious ecosystems on the planet. And like Trump, Bolsonaro is proud of his efforts to f... up the planet. If people were so concerned about...
