Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill banning COVID-19 vaccine passports and also announced an executive order that suspends all local pandemic emergency mandates effective July 1. DeSantis signed Senate Bill 2006, passed by Florida state lawmakers last month granting DeSantis the ability to override local emergency orders. The bill also includes a ban on vaccine passports that would levy fines of $5,000 per violation. “I’m going to sign the bill. It’s effective July 1. I’ll also sign an executive order pursuant to that bill invalidating all remaining local emergency COVID orders effective on July 1,” the Republican governor said...

The NBA and its players profit from China and its inhumane treatment of its citizens. Thus, when asked about China’s genocide and slave labor, members of the NBA often fold like pathetic stooges. NBA commissioner Adam Silver, promoted as the most vocal commissioner in sports, has followed his players’ lead and refused to acknowledge how hypocritical and dishonest the NBA’s relationship with China is.

A lawsuit filed Monday against Waffle House claims a South Carolina woman choked, bled and vomited after consuming eggshells in her to-go order. Leslie Brown, a Hampton County woman, ordered the “unreasonably dangerous” All-Star meal from the Waffle House at 8208 Two Notch Rd. in Columbia on July 5, 2020, according to the lawsuit. She dug in, unaware there were eggshell fragments in her food. “She bit into this eggshell substance and, through no fault of her own, consumed and digested eggshell fragments that were sold and served to her” by the Waffle House, according to the lawsuit filed in...

Jenna Ellis, a former Trump campaign lawyer, is challenging Rep. Liz Cheney to debate election integrity in the 2020 election. On Monday, Rep. Liz Cheney insisted on Twitter that the 2020 presidential election “was not stolen.” “Anyone who claims it was is spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our democratic system.” Cheney was responding to a Trump statement released Monday morning that “The Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020 will be, from this day forth, known as THE BIG LIE!” In response to Cheney’s tweet, Ellis pointed out that “Election officials in at...

Former President Trump on Monday taunted two of his top foes in the Republican Party — Sen. Mitt Romney and Rep. Liz Cheney — who ran into strong headwinds in the GOP. Mr. Trump labeled Mr. Romney a “stone-cold loser” and Ms. Cheney a “warmonger” as he mocked them for losing support among Republicans in their home states. The caustic jabs underscored the persistent rift in the Republican Party between Trump loyalists and establishment figures who want to turn the page on the Trump era. “So nice to see RINO Mitt Romney booed off the stage at the Utah Republican...

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is expected to authorize Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for young adults age 12 and older by next week, according to a federal official and a person familiar with the process, setting up shots for many before the beginning of the next school year. The announcement is set to come barely a month after the company found that its shot, which is already authorized for those age 16 and older, also provided protection for the younger group. The federal official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to preview the FDA's action, said the agency was expected...

Key Takeaways Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. In addition to evidence that eating vegetables may reduce cancer risk in some cases, a new study highlights that mushrooms, in particular, reduce cancer risk by 45%. Mushrooms are one of the few foods that naturally contain vitamin D—a factor that could influence its anti-cancer benefits. Approximately 39.5% of people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.1 Some risk factors, like genetics, are not in a person's control, but diet and lifestyle choices are considered modifiable risk factors. For example, research...

Former President Donald Trump claimed victory after his endorsement of a leading GOP candidate shut out Democrats from a congressional special election in Texas. Republicans Susan Wright, the wife of the late Rep. Ron Wright, finished with 19 percent of the vote, while Jake Ellzey garnered 14 percent. Democrat Jana Lynne Sanchez finished third with 13 percent and conceded on May 2. “Please explain to the Democrats and RINOs that the reason Texas-06 completely shut out Democrats in Saturday’s Jungle Primary is because of my Endorsement of Susan Wright, who surged last week after receiving it,” the former president said...
  • US Air Force flight in Mideast uses call sign ‘Pickle Rick’

An Air Force KC-10 Extender that flew out of Al-Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday used the call sign “PIKLRICK” on a mission that saw it fly east over the Gulf of Oman, according to flight-tracking data. The KC-10A is an aircraft that refuels warplanes in flight. The call sign appears to be a nod to an episode in which one of the titular characters in the Cartoon Network show turns himself into a pickle to escape a family therapy session. In it, the typically foul-mouthed, drunken scientist Rick Sanchez shouts “I’m Pickle Rick!” as his...

A Clifton man, who sent threatening text messages, including one where he called Paterson’s Muslim police chief a “terrorist,” pleaded guilty on Monday morning. Stefan Keco, 29-year-old, pleaded guilty to two counts of terroristic threats before Passaic County judge Sohail Mohammed. “I want to put this behind me and move on,” said Keco after entering the guilty plea. On February 26, 2020, Keco sent the text messages to Ibrahim “Mike” Baycora, who is the city’s first Muslim and Turkish American police chief, to intimidate him because of his religion, race, and national origin, according to authorities. In one text message...
  • Mission IMPOSSIBLE: NASA warns even a nuclear bomb wouldn't stop a giant asteroid heading for Earth after massive six month simulation exercise ends in devastating impact

NASA scientists have concluded that even a nuclear bomb wouldn't be able to stop a giant asteroid from destroying a huge chunk of earth. In a simulated exercise, US and European scientists were told they had six months to come up with a lifesaving plan to stop a massive rock smashing into earth that had been spotted 35 million miles away. The study was conducted over the course of four days, from April 26 through April 29, and astronomers used radar systems, data imaging and other technologies like the world's largest telescope. Scientists determined that six months is not enough...

Ontario doctor reveals that otherwise healthy elderly patients, suffering from extreme loneliness and isolation due to the lockdowns, are asking for assisted suicide.. An emergency room physician at The Ottawa Hospital said she is seeing an alarming increase in patients, especially among the elderly, who are struggling to find the will to continue to live, as they are isolated from their loved ones due to COVID rules. In retirement homes, visiting is rarely allowed, meaning that elderly people are alone living without contact with their families and loved ones. Instead, they are being cared for by masked healthcare workers. Dr....

....May 3 is the current Catholic feast date of the author of the Epistle of James — James, the brother of Jesus, also known as James the Just. He’s a major leader in the New Testament accounts of the primitive church, closely associated with the traditionalist Jewish side of the movement, wont to give precedence to Mosaic law and ritual — a contrast compared to the Gentile-evangelizer St. Paul. James, however, also appears in Acts of the Apostles as a principal decider of the circa CE 50 Council of Jerusalem edict to the effect that non-Jewish converts to Christianity would...

Republicans in Illinois and Washington, D.C., closed the week on a happy note, as Democratic Rep. Cheri Bustos announced late Friday her retirement in Illinois' 17th District (Quad Cities). All political eyes were immediately on Republican Esther Joy King, U.S. Army officer and tax attorney, who came close (52 to 48 percent) to denying Bustos a fifth term. Many Prairie State political observers believe that Bustos’ position as chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) left her vulnerable to King’s spirited attacks that the congresswoman was out of touch with the 17th District. But obervers also agree that the...
