President Biden will address a joint session of Congress Thursday night and give Americans an update on the state of the union as he approaches his 100th day in office. He will tout the $1.9 trillion COVID bill he signed – of which only 9% goes to actual COVID relief. He will also trumpet his $2 trillion infrastructure plan that would do very little to improve America’s infrastructure. And it’s been reported that he’ll propose an "American Families Plan" that is likely to cost over a trillion dollars, as well as a huge tax increase that would take more out...

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D) said that he agrees with the International Criminal Court investigating the American criminal justice system and “if we have nothing to hide, we shouldn’t worry about what might be found by the international community.”

Mark Jan. 20, 2021, as the day the U.S. fell under the control of the lousiest presidential administration of our lifetimes, if not our history. Heaven help us to get past this bunch in Washington that is either so inept, or so blinded by its radical ideology, that it’s ushering the country into an era of decline. Where to begin? How about with John Kerry? President Joe Biden’s climate envoy believes that “even if we get to net zero, we still have to get carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.” So no CO2, get rid of it all? Was this...

For 14 months, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended draconian restrictions on Americans' daily lives to combat COVID-19. The CDC made light of the hardships and economic losses the restrictions inflicted. Call the agency the "Centers for Doubletalk and Confusion." Now, evidence is emerging that the restrictions were based on flimsy science or sheer guesswork. Last week, MIT researchers showed that the CDC's six-foot social distancing rule has no basis in science. If you're indoors, your risk is the same whether an infected person is three feet away from you, or six feet away, or even 60...

Guest post below and the note I received from the author, a regular here at CFP Nation. Dear Kane Today April 28 marks the 46th anniversary of the three day period of the fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War. The evacuation commenced on the 28th with the phrase, “The temperature in Saigon is 105 degrees and rising,” followed by Armed Forces Radio broadcasting Bing Crosby’s singing of “White Christmas” as the signal to begin. The media barely covers the anniversaries of Pearl Harbor, D-Day and the like anymore. I faithfully scan the sites for any acknowledgement...

A 24-year-old tourist from Delaware was killed in Puerto Rico over the weekend after allegedly buying drugs in a coastal shantytown, authorities said. Tariq Loat and a friend, James Jackson, were attacked in La Perla on Saturday following the alleged drug deal when they tried to take photographs, despite being told not to, according to Police Commissioner Antonio López Figueroa. The duo were beaten with an exercise weight, a piece of wood and a deep fryer, authorities said. Jackson managed to flee and was later hospitalized, authorities said. But Loat’s badly burned body was found by authorities on Sunday in...

A man known as Italy’s Robinson Crusoe who has lived alone on a Mediterranean island for more than 30 years after running into difficulties in the sea has said he is finally surrendering to pressure from authorities to leave and will be moving to a small apartment. Mauro Morandi, 81, stumbled across Budelli, an island off Sardinia known for its pink-sanded beach, in 1989 after his catamaran broke down on the way to the south Pacific. In a fortuitous twist of fate, Morandi discovered that the island’s caretaker was about to retire, and so he abandoned the sailing trip, sold...

Why should leftists bother to make recycling work when their real objective is reached merely by appearing to practice it? Recycling is a leftist sacrament. It fulfills emotional needs for Democrats. They suffer deep-seated guilt from participating in a materialistic culture that they think results in widespread environmental harm. For them recycling serves as a kind of visible penance. Unfortunately, recycling leads to unintended consequences. A recent article in the Eureka, California Times-Standard began as follows: “The CRV situation in Humboldt County is a losing situation for everyone. Three major recycling centers in the county have halted all buyback programs...

The natives remain restless. SPECIAL DISPATCH FROM WASHINGTON WASHINGTON, Saturday, April 27. I arrived here this evening, after a tedious trip via Annapolis. Everything is going on well. Troops are arriving rapidly, though unable to get hold of cars enough to bring them all the way from Annapolis. The regiments all march to the Junction, eighteen miles, where they take the train for this city. A small train brings the baggage and supplies to the Junction. One Regiment is kept constantly at the Junction -- each succeeding one relieving its predecessor, in order to keep possession of the road. Guards are stationed all along...

Seriously, how many of you have ever worn one of these useless masks that do nothing whatsoever to slow the spread of this or any other virus when you have been outdoors? If you have been doing that, well, you have my deepest sympathies, because all you have been doing is demonstrating for your masters in the government that they can control you at the snap of a finger. They’ve all been laughing at you while you’ve done it – even the Little Menace to Society Anthony Fauci.

The Islamic State in Sinai recently executed another Christian on video. In a clip recorded before the execution, the slain Copt, Nabil H. Salama, 62, "confessed" to his crime: building the only church in Bir al-Abd in Sinai — a church that was supposedly "cooperating with the Egyptian army's and intelligence's war on the Islamic State." Although Salama offered this "confession" only after being tortured — after his front teeth were busted out of his mouth — the charge that Coptic churches are actively and nefariously working to undermine the Islamic order is as widespread among Egypt's Islamists as it...

The number of container ships stuck at anchor off Los Angeles and Long Beach is down to around 20 per day, from 30 a few months ago. Does this mean the capacity crunch in the trans-Pacific market is finally easing? Absolutely not, warned Nerijus Poskus, vice president of global ocean at freight forwarder Flexport. “It’s not getting better. It’s getting worse,” he told American Shipper in an interview on Monday. “What I’m seeing is unprecedented. We are seeing a tsunami of freight,” he reported. “For the month of May, everything on the trans-Pacific is basically sold out. We had one...

“Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company corrupts good morals.’ Become sober-minded as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame” (1 Corinthians 15:33-34). Trusting in the fact of Christ’s resurrection and looking forward to our own rising from the dead ought to stimulate us toward sanctification. Like any essential teaching of Scripture, the doctrine of the Resurrection can be studied and discussed from an academic standpoint only. When that happens, we usually acquire a factual understanding of the topic and perhaps some appreciation of how the doctrine supports our faith—but...

Our peace and contentment always depend upon our resignation into God’s hands, no matter what our circumstance. The psalmist writes, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4). If you’ve fully resigned yourself into God’s hands, then you’re able to endure any and all hardships. Your Father’s desire is for you to be able to go about your daily business without fear or anxiety, totally trusting in his care. And your resignation to him has a very practical effect in your life. The more resigned you are to God’s care...
