The Biden Department of Education has quietly proposed a new rule prioritizing the use of federal tax dollars for K-12 schools that replace traditional education with “culturally responsive teaching and learning” – more commonly referred to as critical race theory. This is the most significant move by the federal government to redefine the nature of state-funded public schools in U.S. history. Skip ...the truth is that the Biden attempt is simply the last phase in a decades-long effort to control local schools and press the progressive agenda on our children. ...federal government sends a message to public schools that if...

O.J. Simpson took to social media to address the controversy surrounding LaBron James for his tweet targeting an Ohio police officer ("YOU'RE NEXT!") and slam the media for showing "edited versions" of the shooting that resulted in the death of 15 -year-old Ma'Khia Bryant. More specifically, fewer people are now dying than would have been the case had there been no Wuhan epidemic. As one doctor colorfully put it, the people who die from covid are generally those who had one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. I have spent some time studying covid death certificates (i.e., certificates that have the word “covid” somewhere on them), and I agree: when you look at the conditions from which most covid victims suffered, it seems remarkable that they were still alive. What this means is that most of those who have...

The Pentagon has briefed top lawmakers on suspected “directed-energy” attacks against US troops, potentially by Russia, according to a report. At least two groups of lawmakers with the necessary security clearances have been briefed by Defense Department officials this year on the incidents being probed, Politico reported Wednesday. The briefings were given to lawmakers both in writing and in person. The congressional officials who told the outlet they had been briefed said they were informed about the suspected attacks as part of their Pentagon oversight duties. At the time, two people familiar with the probe said, several troops began experiencing...

Explanation: No sudden, sharp boundary marks the passage of day into night in this gorgeous view of ocean and clouds over our fair planet Earth. Instead, the shadow line or terminator is diffuse and shows the gradual transition to darkness we experience as twilight. With the Sun illuminating the scene from the right, the cloud tops reflect gently reddened sunlight filtered through the dusty troposphere, the lowest layer of the planet's nurturing atmosphere. A clear high altitude layer, visible along the dayside's upper edge, scatters blue sunlight and fades into the blackness of space. This picture was taken in June...

The University of California and California State University systems that they plan to require all students, staff and faculty on campus this fall to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, provided the shots are granted formal approval by the Food and Drug Administration. If no vaccine has received full FDA approval by fall, the policy will go into effect as soon as one does. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are currently being distributed under the FDA’s emergency authorization, but health experts expect formal approval of at least one by the fall.

Black Lives Matter on Wednesday condemned the comments Speaker Nancy Pelosi made about George Floyd in the immediate aftermath of the Chauvin verdict. Speaking at the Congressional Black Caucus news conference on Capitol Hill after the trial, Pelosi said, “Thank you George Floyd for sacrificing your life for justice.” “For being there to call out to your mom, how heartbreaking was that,” Pelosi continued. “And because of you … your name will always be synonymous with justice.” The House speaker’s remarks drew backlash and questions on social media, including from the Black Lives Matter organization. The Black Lives Matter Twitter...

Greta Thunberg more or less had the last word at the congressional environmental hearing - at least the last meaningful word. California Democratic congresswoman Katie Porter asked the Swedish activist what she should tell her nine-year-old daughter who comes to her fretting that “Earth is on fire and we’re all going to die soon”? That’s like Throwback Thursday for Boomers who grew up amid the Cold War and US-USSR nuclear missile arms race, watching as the adults in charge willfully hurtled towards imminent catastrophe... So Thunberg finished the Earth Day hearing with another strand to her admonish-hope-galvanize proverbial lifeline for...

Washington (CNN)A US Capitol Police officer directed "all outside units" on the morning of January 6 to only monitor for anti-Trump agitators "who want to start a fight," not any "pro-Trump in the crowd," according to the findings of a newly revealed internal investigation. Rep. Zoe Lofgren described the radio broadcast, the existence of which was not previously known, during a House Administration Committee hearing on security failures around the January 6 attack. In that transmission, according to Lofgren's telling, the officer said: "Attention all units on the field, we're not looking for any pro-Trump in the crowd. We're only...

He says cargo flights will still be allowed, particularly to ensure shipments of vaccines and personal protective equipment can continue. Shipments of vaccine to Canada, however, are suspended by India likely until at least June, as the country battles its biggest surge of COVID-19 yet. More than 300,000 people were diagnosed in India today, its highest single-day total to date. Health Minister Patty Hajdu says half of the people who are testing positive for COVID-19 after arriving in Canada on an airplane came from India, even though Indian flights accounted for only one-fifth of air traffic. She says passengers coming...

News organizations survive on input from newsmakers. Gathering quotes, documents, tips and so on is their job. So any group calling itself a news outlet is in a bind when one of its people speaks out in the media — as when a One America News producer named Marty Golingan gave an interview for a New York Times story about his outlet’s continued pro-Trump tilt. In the piece by Rachel Abrams, Golingan described his unease when he saw someone in the “Capitol mob” carrying a flag with the OAN logo. “I was like, okay, that’s not good,” he said. “That’s...

Written by Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman, Stewart came up with the idea for the song after his wife of eight years asked him why he didn't say "I love you" more often. He said: "I had this crazy idea in my mind that repeating those words would somehow degrade the meaning, so I told her, 'Well, if I say every day "I love you, darling, I love you, blah, blah, blah", it's not gonna mean anything eventually'."(snip) Stewart spent three weeks recording Gouldman, Godley and Creme singing "ahhh" 16 times for each note of the chromatic scale, creating a...
