JERUSALEM—The risen Jesus is being roundly criticized in the media after it was discovered he left the tomb without his face covering. "Yeah we know he's immune to death and all that, but he could at least set an example by responsibly wearing his protective face covering," said King Herod in an op-ed published in the Jerusalem Gazette. "Jesus claims to be pro-life, but his actions would suggest otherwise." According to Roman authorities, Jesus's face covering and burial linens were found neatly folded in an empty tomb three days after his crucifixion. Pontius Pilate has sent platoons of soldiers to...

JERUSALEM—Roman authorities are investigating controversial religious leader Jesus of Nazareth for violating the Empire's clear "stay in tomb" order. After crucifying him and laying him in the tomb, Roman guards put Him under strict orders to stay there and not come back, rising victorious over sin and death. But Jesus, answering to a higher authority, refused to stay dead and busted out of the tomb, establishing a kingdom that would never end -- again, in clear violation of the government's orders. "Jesus is a dangerous rebel, refusing to bend the knee to Caesar and not abiding by the law of...

WASHINGTON — A day after greeting President Joe Biden as he arrived near Pittsburgh to announce his infrastructure proposal, Rep. Conor Lamb, D-Mt. Lebanon, on Thursday led a bipartisan group of 46 other House lawmakers in pressing congressional leaders to dedicate another $18 billion in funding for state transportation agencies. The lawmakers cited data from the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials that estimated state agencies will face a $28 billion budget shortfall by fiscal year 2024 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The spending bills passed by Congress in December allocated $10 billion, but the lawmakers called for...

Republican Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri on Sunday urged the Biden administration to cut its $2 trillion infrastructure plan to roughly $615 billion and focus on rebuilding physical infrastructure like roads and bridges. The top Republican’s remarks follow Biden’s introduction of the infrastructure package last week, which focuses on rebuilding roads, bridges and airports, expanding broadband access and fighting climate change through boosting electric vehicle use and updating the country’s electric grid. The proposal also includes increasing the corporate tax rate to 28% to offset spending. Biden has said that he wants bipartisan support for the plan, but the chances...

CNN’s Jim Acosta said Sunday on “Reliable Sources” that many within the news media were dealing with “post-Trump stress disorder” in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s presidency. Anchor Brian Stelter said, “Do you feel like you are rundown, your lineup is really different than it would have been in the Trump years?” Acosta said, “When you asked me if I was rundown, I was wondering if you were asking me how I felt during the Trump era. I think we’re all dealing with some post-Trump stress disorder.” He continued, “There are questions about why aren’t Republicans getting on board with...

I'm considering buying a new pick-up. Why new? Because it will most likely be the last vehicle I'll ever buy and I want it to last. So, I was looking at Ford F150s last night and my jaw dropped. One of the trucks was priced at $66,000!! For crying out-loud! $66K?? The one I liked the best was priced at $49,000! I'm in real estate and you can buy property cheaper! I thought perhaps some of the more experienced, wiser freepers could answer this question: Just how much does it actually cost to manufacture/produce one of these? (Or any other...

Two hundred years ago, it would take months to get from New York City to Los Angeles. Hundreds of miles of rutted roads by horse and carriage and that would be the best part of the journey. The people of 1821 would be amazed if they knew that within 200 years, you could make the journey in just a few hours in the comfort of a jetliner, where you would be drinking coffee or maybe having a Bloody Mary or two. Now imagine that you could make the journey in just 15 minutes. How much would that change our world?...

Kentucky Republican says corporate boycott dynamic like 'an extortion racket'Opposition to election reform laws like the one recently enacted in Georgia is rooted in the idea that minorities aren't smart enough to understand basic rules, Sen. Infectious disease specialist, Dr. Sandra Bliss Nelson, weighs in on finding that show the Pfizer vaccine is performing well; MIKE SIMPSON: It's holding its effectiveness, basically 90-ish percent, 91%, six months later. So I guess there's two ways to look at it. First is, yeah, six months. That's great. But then another crowd maybe goes, oh, well, maybe it's only six months. Well, it doesn't drop off to 10% the Tuesday after the six-month clock rolls around, right? So it's going to be maybe a sliding scale. We just have to see how far it goes. SANDRA BLISS NELSON: I...

The White House’s top economic adviser on Sunday defended President Biden’s infrastructure plan, saying there is “a long way to go” before the economy returns to a pre-pandemic place and the plan’s investments would help boost growth. Brian Deese, director of the White House National Economic Council, told “Fox News Sunday” that Mr. Biden’s push to raise the corporate tax rate to generate funds for his $2.25 trillion vision is a reasonable way to find money for the investments. “This is a responsible way to pay for a significant capital investment, which itself will return multiples in terms of the...

The new phased approach is as follows: Phase 1: Mass testing and lab capacity building Phase 2A: Voyage preparation Phase 2B: Simulated (trial) passenger voyages Phase 3: Conditional sailing certificate Phase 4: Restricted passenger voyages However, many in the industry think that this...
