Early planetary migration in the solar system has been long established, and there are myriad theories that have been put forward to explain where the planets were coming from. Theories such as the Grand Tack Hypothesis an the Nice Model show how important that migration is to the current state of our solar system. Now, a team from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) has come up with a novel way of trying to understand planetary migration patterns: by looking at meteorite compositions. The researchers, led by postdoc Jan Render, had three key realizations. First, that almost all the meteorites that...

Proposals to defund law enforcement fail the cost-benefit test and will likely increase avoidable deaths while lowering the overall standard of living. In Philadelphia in January, 25-year old Milan Loncar — a recent Temple University graduate and husband to be — was walking his dog when he was brutally gunned down in the streets of Philadelphia, the victim of an armed robbery that he did not resist. DES MOINES — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds said Tuesday that she wants to require that all fuel sold in the state to contain either ethanol or biodiesel. Reynolds’ comments came at the Iowa Iowa Renewable Fuels virtual summit Tuesday where she proposed legislation mandating fuel sold in the state contain at least 10% ethanol and 11% biodiesel. “I am excited to advance policies that will grow the biofuels and ag industry,” Reynolds said. “As a leader in biofuels production, that means making biofuels the clear choice for Iowa drivers by implementing an E10 and B11 fuel standard at Iowa pumps.”...

Lawmakers introduce legislation to massively expand mail-in voting. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) on Thursday introduced legislation to allow all registered voters to have the option to vote from home. The Vote at Home Act would require all registered voters to be sent mail-in ballots prior to Election Day, guarantee that voters had the option to either vote by mail or vote in person at the polls, and enact automatic voter registration for all citizens with driver’s licenses or permits. It would be a significant expansion of mail-in voting.

EY CEO Carmine Di Sibio has a message for President Biden: Tread carefully when it comes to raising corporate taxes. “Any raise in the corporate tax would be a threat to U.S. business,” Di Sibio told Yahoo Finance Live. “I do think it would make the U.S. less competitive, and I think the tax rate elsewhere would be more beneficial.” Biden has promised to roll back former President Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, which Di Sibio said were “very important for Corporate America.” Trump slashed the U.S. corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%. Biden has proposed increasing that rate to...

The Biden regime is fully embracing a radical globalist plan that seeks to destroy capitalism and replace it with a socialist system. “The Great Reset” was unveiled at the World Economic Forum (WEC) in Davos, Switzerland last June, using the coronavirus pandemic and “global warming” as pretexts to impose on the world far-left social programs like government-provided basic income, the Green New Deal, universal healthcare, and of course, massive tax increases.

I won't pretend to know more then I do about vaccines. However, given what I do know I will not be signing up for one. I have not had any vaccines in fact for over 40 years. A married Texas police chief and father of four has been placed under social media arrest by his girlfriend for allegedly leading a “double/triple life” with at least two mistresses. The scorned woman aired his dirty laundry in a Facebook post with over 37,000 shares. The scandal came to light after Jason Collier, 41, chief of the Stinnett Police Department, uploaded a since-deleted Facebook post commemorating his anniversary with his wife Opal, the Heavy reported. Things went south for him after one of Collier’s girlfriends, Cecily Steinmetz — who likely saw the adoring post — exposed his triple-infidelity in the...

“Action Civics” Replaces Citizenship with PartisanshipState lawmakers must protect education from activism.Advocates of “Action Civics” are poised to press a novel practice on every state education system in the Union. Bills mandating Action civics will soon be introduced in state legislatures across the country; it is already required in Massachusetts and Illinois. The Biden administration is likely to support that effort with federal carrots and sticks, using the model of the Obama administration’s support for Common Core.Unfortunately, widespread adoption of Action Civics will definitively politicize an already politically tainted K-12 educational system, irrevocably cementing the partisan Left’s hold upon our...
