Washington (CNN)President Joe Biden is expected to repeal former President Donald Trump's ban on transgender individuals serving in the military as early as Monday, according to a source familiar with the plans. The policy, which has been roundly derided by LGBTQ activists as cruel and irrational, was first announced by Trump in July 2017 via Twitter. The ban specifically blocks individuals who have been diagnosed with a condition known as gender dysphoria from serving with limited exceptions. It also specifies that individuals without the condition can serve, but only if they do so according to the sex they were assigned...

I read this story in the UK Daily Mail (May 2020) and thought it was an exaggeration, too bizarre to be believed...purely tabloid material. REVEALED: U.S. government gave $3.7million grant to Wuhan lab at center of coronavirus leak scrutiny that was performing experiments on bats from the caves where the disease is believed to have originated A similar story also appeared that same month with the same confounding accusation: Here's an interesting "discovery" I just made...if you search for this controversial story using Google, it takes about 2 minutes for the page to load. If you search using DuckDuckGo(.)com, the...

One of the pernicious problems we have in the establishment media is the plethora of Leftist partisan hacks pretending to be journalists. Their constant slanting of the news to present only one side as being factual and the other side as nothing but lies distorts their role, which should be just to report on the events of the day so that the American public can be fully informed. Instead, these ‘journalists’ believe their role is to referees on what is the truth, or role for which they are woefully equipped. One of the worst practitioners of this false journalism is...

You’ll see lots of items this week and for the next several weeks talking about how the Republican Party is in the wilderness and where does it go from here, etc. The fact is, most of this is overblown and a large chunk of it is, essentially, concern-trolling from the Bush Republican crowd who are trying to angle for a return to some sort of leadership within the GOP.The prospect of that is pretty minimal, frankly. Donald Trump leaves office, per Rasmussen, with a 51 percent approval rating. If Trump takes a six month vacation from making public statements while...

It is truly a lurching epiphany, connecting the dots as to how systematically communism has infiltrated and transformed the United States. Repeatedly, one needs to ask: how is it possible that such a vile and discredited system as communism continues to gain traction among so many people? Like others before me, I am astonished at the prescience of W. Cleon Skousen, author of The Naked Communist, who, in 1958, explained "how many well-meaning citizens have become involved in pushing forward the Communist program without realizing it. They became converted to Communist objectives because they accepted superficial Communist slogans." Skousen succinctly...

Frank Macchiarola, senior vice president of Policy, Economics and Regulatory Affairs at the American Petroleum Institute (API), said in an interview that if President Joe Biden puts a permanent ban on oil and gas development on federal waters and land, it could cost 1 million American jobs. “I think the first four days of the Biden Administration have given a clear picture of what the next four years could look like,” he said. “President Biden comes into office with a real economic headwind and a difficult labor market but at the same time he inherited an energy [landscape] that’s stronger...

When the Russians had fully occupied what became East Germany, my mother found the Communist propaganda in school unbearable—so much so that in 1951, at age 17, she and a friend took the great risk of leaving their families to attempt crossing the border into the West. She succeeded, but not without some trials, and two years later was joined by my grandmother and aunt. When in 1953 Tante Ella visited West Germany, she asked my mother whether she wanted to come to New York. And months later my mother did just that, boarding the MS Stockholm in August 1954....

This week, New York City announced that it was officially recognizing businesses owned by LGBTQ people as part of their minority & women-owned business enterprise (MWBE) programs. The decision will allow LGBTQ business owners of all sizes to access billions of dollars in city contracts, contract procurements and opportunities, in addition to accessing priceless resources for historically-disadvantaged enterprises in the Big Apple. The agreement was struck between New York City’s Department of Small Business Services (SBS) agency and the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NLGCC), and it will allow NLGCC-certified business operators to receive official recognition for their MWBE.

Don't believe your lyin' eyes, and certainly do not believe the scores of fellow citizens who, under oath, signed affidavits and testified about the fraud those lying eyes witnessed. Put this behind you. Move on. Just forget it. But you can't. SNIP We built a spreadsheet with about 4 million rows, one for each of the ballots. We saw a video some teenager did counting how many ballots were received before they were mailed out. That's not a typo. SNIP So we ran the test on the data we were given. Guess what! About 30,000 — more, I recall —...

I didn’t want it to come to this, but I am compelled by my loyal adherence to the rules and norms and cultural regulations put into effect by our glorious, competent, and not-at-all-inexplicably-smug ruling caste to characterize President * as a cowardly draft dodger of cowardice.I think it is stupid, but I am bound to these New Rules. As are you.Say it with me: President * is a cowardly draft dodger. You should also know that Asterisk is also not an Army Ranger, which became a fake issue when a bunch of liberal media hacks, led by some toad-like reporter who...

There is a saying that “all politics is local,” and it’s most commonly used in the United States. The saying is often ascribed to former Speaker of the House Tip O’Neill (Democrat, Massachusetts). Whether or not he actually coined the phrase doesn’t matter. He was right, but not in the way he thought. O’Neill was talking about how federal politicians need to pander to local needs in their districts in order to secure their seats in office. However, the saying has a much deeper meaning that O’Neill (a Washington insider) may not have fully grasped. According to the historical record,...

There is a suffocating feeling of dread in the air — a palpable fear among many Americans that freedom is on its way out. I truly get that. State and corporate authoritarianism has taken over. Little fascists patrol the public square looking for dissent to whatever contrived politically correct nonsense the cultural Marxists conjure up next. Members of Congress malign those who don't submit to the left's delusions as Hitler clones reborn, while the news media and tech behemoths goose-step right behind our Big Government overlords, finding new ways to demonize ordinary Americans who want nothing more than just to...

At least 19 charred corpses have been discovered in Mexico near the US border in an area where drug cartels often clash, the Tamaulipas state prosecutor's office said. Police on Saturday found two burnt-out vehicles containing human remains on a country road near the town of Carmago. Preliminary investigations suggested the victims had been shot, then their bodies set alight. Because no bullet casings were found at the scene, police said it was possible the victims were killed in a different location. Autopsies are underway, but identification of the corpses will be complicated due to their condition, a source from...

President Joe Biden campaigned on universal background checks for gun purchases and such checks require a firearm registry in order to be enforceable. The “Gun Safety” portion of Biden’s campaign website clearly states, “Biden will enact universal background check legislation.” The website stipulates: Biden will enact universal background check legislation, requiring a background check for all gun sales with very limited exceptions, such as gifts between close family members. This will close the so-called “gun show and online sales loophole” that the Obama-Biden Administration narrowed, but which cannot be fully closed by executive action alone. Background checks for retail gun...

Today in daily Mass we read the well-known story of St. Paul’s conversion. There is a detail in the story that I have often pondered. Although I am speculating on the specifics, I think it ought not to be overlooked. Even my choice of the words “speculating” and “overlooked” (both of which refer to the eyes) indicate that we ought to “give an eye” to St. Paul’s eyes.As you probably recall, St. Paul was not just struck down on the road to Damascus—he was blinded as well.Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he...

WHAT IS GASLIGHTING? The term originates in the systematic psychological manipulation of a victim by her husband in Patrick Hamilton’s 1938 stage play Gas Light, and the film adaptations released in 1940 and 1944. In the story, the husband attempts to convince his wife and others that she is insane by manipulating small elements of their environment and insisting that she is mistaken, remembering things incorrectly, or delusional when she points out these changes. The play's title alludes to how the abusive husband slowly dims the gas lights in their home, while pretending nothing has changed, in an effort to...
