DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran said Saturday it plans to enrich uranium up to 20% at its underground Fordo nuclear facility “as soon as possible,” pushing its program a technical step away from weapons-grade levels as it increases pressure on the West over the tattered atomic deal. The move comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the U.S. in the waning days of the administration of President Donald Trump, who unilaterally withdrew America from Tehran’s nuclear deal in 2018. The International Atomic Energy Agency acknowledged Iran had informed its inspectors of the decision by a letter after news leaked...

The San Francisco home of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was vandalized overnight, with an apparent pig's head and fake blood staged in front of the garage. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that San Francisco police responded to a call at Pelosi's home around 3 a.m. local time Friday morning. The perpetrators spray-painted "Cancel Rent!" and "We Want Everything" in big black letters on Pelosi's garage door.

As Covid-19 descended on California ... this year, economies began to shut down and the debate raged over what businesses were deemed “essential.” Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, and Alameda County authorities went back and forth over whether the Tesla plant in Fremont should be allowed to reopen. This dialogue was punctuated by a pithy tweet from Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, who describes herself as a progressive Democrat, “F*ck Elon Musk.” At that time, we had no idea how much that tweet, and attitude, would cost us. Nine months later, Elon Musk is gone. He is selling all his personal...

Three white-collar judges in San Francisco are reopening the judge-created, 1997 border gateway that has allowed at least one million wage-cutting economic migrants to flood into the jobs, housing, and schools needed by blue-collar Americans. “They’re basically saying, ‘Bring a child with you across the border and it is a get-out-of-jail card,'” said John Miano, a lawyer with the Immigration Reform Law Institute. The December 30 decision by the judges on the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit rejected a careful 2019 regulation by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which is intended to replace the 1997 Flores rules....

The January 5 special runoff elections for the US Senate in Georgia will certainly be one of the most important in US history: It is a choice between maintaining a constitutional republic that values individual freedom or changing the USA into the USSA (United Socialist States of America). This January 5 should be viewed as a mandate to all conservatives and Republicans in Georgia to vote, not to simply reelect two Republican Ssenators (David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler) but rather to vote to preserve freedom. A loss of those Senate seats can lead to catastrophic harm that may well require...

The AR-15 is certainly one popular firearm. Simply put, the AR-15 the civilian version of the U.S. military’s M16. The only main difference being that you can’t fire in three-round bursts or full-automatic. But while it’s just as versatile, accurate, durable, and downright dependable as the one trusted by the uniformed services, the one thing you can do with an AR-15 that you couldn’t dream of doing in the military is customizing it. Think of Legos — but for grown-ups. Entering the vast and colorful world of rifle mods can be overwhelming at first, and it will take some time...

Top conservative talker Mark Levin is urging Republicans to ignore “unreliable and cowardly” GOP leaders and back the effort started by Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks to challenge the electoral votes of several states in the Jan. 6 vote to confirm the Electoral College results. “It is not asking too much for the Republicans to uphold the United States Constitution — which they all took an oath to do — and to fight to preserve and protect the plain words set forth in Article II. They must make the case to and on behalf of the American people. And they must...

The presidential election, although the most important, was only 1 of 469 elections that happened on November 3, 2020. There were 435 House of Representative elections and 33 Senate elections. There seemed to be only fraud and inaccuracies within normal variation for the lion’s share of those 468 elections. Attempting to fix elections at that level would be close to impossible. The legitimate results of those down-ballot elections reflect the true status of the fraudulent results on the presidential level. It was certainly easier to corrupt a single presidential election versus the other 468 elections given the ability to focus, plan,...

If you’re starting to feel like you’re in some kind of a live punk’d version of The Sting (the classic Robert Redford, Paul Newman film for our younger readers) then you are not alone. Put another way, those of you who are beginning to feel that we’re not only living in an “upside-down world,” as some conservative pundits are wont to say, but are living in a world that has fully become one big con job, divorced from truth, then join the crowd. One of the active ingredients in this false construct of today’s fabricated reality is the notion that...

According to the respected Worldometer website, COVID-19 deaths in 2020 reached 1.8 million, a truly tragic and devastating number. There is no denying that we have experienced a real pandemic, and many of us have lost friends and loved ones to this virus in the last 12 months. Yet, for every person who died of COVID (or, whose death was hastened by COVID), almost 25 died by abortion. This is as staggering as it is horrifying. These babies died in the womb by human choice.Prof. Thomas Williams summarizes these year-end statistics, also looking at other, major causes of death: “Abortion...

President Trump last week signed a bill into law which named a California post office after the oldest survivor of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The bill – H.R. 3005 – “designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 13308 Midland Road in Poway, California, as the Ray Chavez Post Office Building.” The post office is located in a suburb where Chavez lived. Chavez, a Navy Veteran who served aboard the USS Condor, passed away in 2018 at the age of 106 from pneumonia. The Condor was a coastal minesweeper in Pearl Harbor believed to have...

There are still hotel/motel rooms available in the Washington area for the nights of January 5th and 6th. I had no reservation before this morning and just made one for Vienna, Virginia. That Courtyard by Marriott is only a four-minute walk to the Dunn Loring Fairfax Metro station for the Orange Line subway trains. The latest weather forecast has the high for January 6th at 45F and the low will be 31. It is expected to be "mostly sunny". When more of the schedule of events is established we Freepers may chose a place to meet. After the main festivities...

Well, 2020 is finally behind us. You don’t need to be a soothsayer to predict that there will be plenty of controversy about social media, racism, and above all Donald Trump. The greatest achievement of Trump is that he is going to live rent-free inside the heads of liberals forever. He really is the End of History: all you’ll need to do from now until Judgment Day to trigger a liberal is just say, “Trump,” and sit back and watch the fun. Even better than the ghost of Joe McCarthy.
