As many in the Firearms Community are aware, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) raided Polymer80, Inc last week and since then, there is at least one report of a customer being visited by ATF and forced to surrender their “P80.” Given what appears to be ATF’s active enforcement of its interpretive jiggery-pokery, ever changing interpretations of the Gun Control Act and implementing regulations, it is important that any individual confronted by ATF regarding this newly minted interpretation, advise the agent that he/she is surrendering the items under protest, that you do not consent to the forfeiture...

President Trump has often said he is good for ratings. It seems CNN and MSNBC agree. One analysis claims that in 2016 he received $5.6 billion in free media during the primary and the general elections. This is an astonishing sum but goes a long way to supporting the president’s assertion. Love him or hate him, people were tuning in to see what he said and the corporate media knew it.Some of the same outlets that got eyeballs and clicks during the 2016 election and continued to accumulate views by being rabidly anti-Trump for four years are worried. Or at...

On this date in 1889, the Germans hanged Abushiri as a rebel. European empires arriving to East Africa naturally entered a going history of local conflicts and accommodations. In the case of the region at hand, the archipelago of Zanzibar lying just off the coast had been absorbed by, and then spun off from, the domain of the sultan of Oman. As we lay our scene in the late 19th century, it is an independent Sultanate of Zanzibar whose dominion extended to the adjacent Swahili coast and inland, an area also known as the Zanj. Zanzibar was a British interest...

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) continued his efforts to address Kentucky hemp farmers’ concerns with federal overreach and bring clarity, transparency, and certainty to regulation by introducing the Hemp Economic Mobilization Plan (HEMP) Act of 2020. In response to concerns raised by Kentucky hemp farmers and processors, Dr. Paul’s HEMP Act would change the legal definition of hemp to raise the THC limit from 0.3% to 1%. Currently, any hemp crops testing above 0.3% have to be destroyed. The legislation would require testing of the final hemp-derived product instead of the hemp flower or plant itself,...

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Lucy, the infamous street savvy pup that has eluded capture for two years, is now in the custody of Virginia Beach Animal Control. Lucy first made headlines, and paused traffic, more than a year ago when Virginia Beach residents insisted, against city officials, on feeding the dog in the busy roadways of Lynnhaven Parkway and Sabre Street. From treats, toys, and kindness from Virginia Beach Animal Control officers, Lucy resisted all attempts of being caught in favor of the feasts passersby tossed at her. Officials said that while they understood the good intentions of the...

If your heart is motivated by the approval of others and this influences the way you live, your loyalties are divided. You will always be striving to please someone other than Jesus. A few years after the apostle Paul was converted, he went to the church in Jerusalem to try to join the disciples there. “But they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple” (Acts 9:26). The apostles knew Paul’s reputation as a persecutor. The churches in Judea had heard only that, “He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he...

Hernandez, Smith and a third unidentified man were drinking alcohol before the unidentified man went to bed. White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany suggested President Donald Trump will not concede any time soon, saying he is “still involved in ongoing lawsuits” challenging the election. Monday’s Electoral College vote is “one step in the constitutional process leading up to the Jan. 20th date,” or Inauguration Day, McEnany said at the White House on Tuesday. “He is still pursuing ongoing litigation for this election,” she said. "No More Bishop Nice Guy": The Future of the Catholic Church in the United StatesThe Wall Street Journal recently published an editorial by one of their deputy editors entitled “No More Bishop Nice Guy”. The author, Matthew Hennessey, makes a plea to the bishops: “Show some backbone. Open the churches”. He points out what should be obvious to the bishops: the terrible spiritual damage done to so many families whose loved ones died alone without the Sacraments, the arbitrary limiting of worshippers in churches to numbers that have no scientific justification, and, probably the worst, the breaking of the fundamental...

Mitch McConnell signals that he will not back President Trump in his Republican-led Senate. Despite ongoing discussion in Capitol Hill about the potential of several states being tossed out, leading to a contingent election, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has publicly shied away from President Donald Trump’s fight for election integrity and has instead appeared to align himself with Joe Biden. In a video on the Senate floor, McConnell said “Americans voted in this year’s general election. Legal and Constitutional processes have continued to play out since then.” “As of this morning, our country has officially a president-elect, and...
