The latest senior staffer tapped by President-elect Joe Biden (D.) has defended Palestinian suicide bombings as "the last resort of a desperate people." Biden on Monday tapped Reema Dodin to serve as the deputy director for the Office of Legislative Affairs. The Jewish News Syndicate reported Tuesday that Dodin gave a presentation on the Second Intifada—a violent Palestinian uprising against the Israeli government in the early 2000s—while a student at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2002. During the talk, Dodin claimed that the Israeli government had left Palestinians hopeless. "The suicide bombers were the last resort of a desperate...

A software update made 12-days before voting began in Georgia was not adequately tested for security issues nor was it recertified by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Why? Because infamous Dominion Voting Systems executive Eric Coomer claimed the change was “minor” and did not require recertification.Nothing to see here, right? It all began when issues were noticed regarding Senate candidates not appearing on the touchscreen ballots. But attorneys for the plaintiffs called for paper ballots to be used in lieu of replaced technology because it was so close to the beginning of early voting in Georgia. Their request was denied outright...

While observing a small group of monkeys, the scientists heard loud vocalizations from high in a nearby tree. A 10-day-old monkey, known as CT-19, fell to the ground, and its mother, called CT, scrambled down to collect the infant. CT tried to carry the baby back into the treetops, twice, with CT-19 clinging to her belly, but the infant fell both times and could no longer hang onto the mother. CT-19 fell motionless for several minutes, and soon, other monkeys gathered around to inspect the corpse. Prior to this young capuchin's demise, only eight cases of cannibalism had been observed...

I’m only a first-generation native, but this ludicrous place feels like my ancestral homeland. My home as a baby was just a few blocks from Santa Monica State Beach in Los Angeles. As the years passed, I moved progressively further east, away from the glorious Pacific Ocean of my childhood. At one point I lived as far away as France, but gradually wandered home, washed inexorably back. Before I was born, my east coast parents moved here so my dad could surf on the weekends. I never surfed, but my friends and I became proficient boogie boarders. I met my...

The company recovered the first stage of its two-stage Electron rocket for the first time on Thursday (Nov. 19), fishing the booster out of the Pacific Ocean a few hours after it had helped launch a 30-satellite mission aptly called "Return to Sender." The stage survived its trip back from space in great shape, helping to validate Rocket Lab's reusability vision, according to company founder and CEO Peter Beck. The 58-foot-tall (18 meters) Electron, which gives small satellites dedicated rides to orbit, has been an expendable vehicle since its debut launch in 2017. Last year, however, Beck announced that the...

Back in 2014, I worked freelance for a public relations firm in New York City. It was there that I met an unusual woman. I didn’t know many lawyers or Texans, but I knew better than to chalk up her qualities to either her profession or her home. It’s rare that I encounter someone who I’m afraid to argue with, because of her sheer brain power and towering personal rectitude. But this was such a person. This woman had quite a career behind her. An evangelical Christian, she’d been a federal prosecutor — and quit, outraged at the corruption she...

There is nothing but bad news for the Democrat Party agenda and the House Democrat caucus from the 2020 elections — both in terms of the numbers of seats won in the House for the upcoming term, and in the control of state legislatures which will be engaged in the process of redrawing House district boundaries following the release of the 2020 Census.Fivethirtyeight has done an analysis of how the outcome of the election in state legislatures will now spill over to the control of this remapping process, and the math says that the GOP will be in complete control...

I had an opportunity to ask the president of the United States a question only once in the six weeks prior to the November general election—when, on September 23, I asked him if he would support a peaceful transfer of power following the election “win, lose or draw.” His answer was explosively controversial at the time: “We’ll see what happens.” Well, we have seen. We have seen the president lose the election—by more than 5 million popular votes and by 306-232 in the Electoral College. In 2016, when Trump won the Electoral College by that same margin but lost the...

Social network Parler has allegedly hidden posts on its website that are tagged as #WriteInTrumpForGA. The hashtag is encouraging disgruntled supporters of President Donald Trump to write the president in rather than any candidate for the upcoming Senate Runoff elections. The hashtag originated in a Super PAC with GOP ties. The Committee for American Sovereignty, connected to political consultant Roger Stone, launched a website calling for people to "Hack the Runoff," and write in Trump. The website states: With enough write-ins in the Georgia senate race, we can tilt the balance in Georgia in Trump's favor! If we can do this,...

President Donald Trump retweeted a series of bizarre videos and messages by Randy Quaid, including one where the actor alleged voter fraud and another in which he attacked Fox News. The first video Trump retweeted was one Quaid originally posted more than a year ago. “Is this the way America goes? From George Washington to George Soros? From oceans white with foam to a socialist swamp," Quaid says. "Is this the way America goes? Is this really our future? Wake up you sleeping giant, the lilliputians have tied you down with their fantastic dreams of icebergs melting into dinosaurs and...

The nasty, murderous old communist Leon Trotsky was wrong about almost everything. He died as he lived, as a bandit, with an icepick jammed in his head. Few men deserved it more. But one thing he said is correct: “You may not be interested in politics. But politics is interested in you.” Trotsky helped V.I. Lenin set up a system where that statement was truer than ever before. Where the state would forbid mothers and fathers from teaching their children about God. And citizens who wrote unorthodox opinions in private letters would disappear into gulags. (Alexander Solzhenitsyn, a decorated war...

Democrat Joe Biden says he will send an amnesty deal for “over 11 million” illegal aliens to the United States Senate in his first 100 days in office. During an interview with NBC News’s Lester Holt, Biden reiterated his plan to give amnesty to the roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S. Biden said of his agenda: Some of it’s going to depend on the kind of cooperation I can or cannot get from the United States Congress. But I am going, I made a commitment, in the first 100 days, I will send an immigration...
