In Woodring v. Jackson County, Indiana, (SD IN, Nov. 3, 2020), an Indiana federal district court refused to stay its final judgment pending appeal in a case challenging the annual display of a creche on the county courthouse lawn. The court said in part: Because the crèche straddles the sidewalk subdividing the lawn and the more-secular figures are placed on the periphery, the venerable magi and hallowed manger share center stage. Id. Since the primary focus of the display is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, a reasonable observer would believe that Jackson County was endorsing a particular...

CNA Staff, Nov 9, 2020 / 04:00 am MT (CNA).- Bishop Georg Bätzing, president of the German bishops’ conference, reaffirmed Sunday his view that intercommunion with Protestants should be possible, despite Vatican objections. He made the comment in a Nov. 8 message to the Synod of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD). “The community in faith, which is already ecumenically visible in many ways, aims at a unity that will also be able to be experienced as a communion in the Eucharistic and the Lord’s Supper,” Bätzing wrote in the message. He said he considered it “good” that a document...

In a press call Tuesday afternoon, Trump campaign Communication Director Tim Murtaugh told reporters that, “This election is not over,” and that the 70.5 million people who voted for Donald Trump, and the people who voted for Joe Biden and any other candidates, “deserve to know that we have free, fair, safe, secure elections.” Before introducing campaign counsel Matt Morgan and Thor Hearne, who were to announce another lawsuit filed by the campaign, Murtaugh reiterated a sentiment Kayleigh McEnany expressed Monday, saying, “In Pennsylvania, we saw an election executed that we believe is likely unconstitutional.” ... HOUSTON, Texas (KWTX) - Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick on Tuesday announced he will pay up to $1 million to people who report credible voter fraud. Patrick said whistleblowers and tipsters should turn over their evidence to local law enforcement. Anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction will be paid a minimum of $25,000. President Trump and many in the Republican Party are alleging voter fraud in the presidential election but have yet to provide any evidence to back up the claims. On Saturday, Democrat Joe Biden was projected to win the election after securing a...

According to Ph.D. psychologist Robert Epstein, his team of Google monitors captured evidence that between Monday, October 26, 2020, and Thursday, October 29, 2020, Google sent vote reminders to liberal users but not to conservative users. On Thursday, Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), and Mike Lee (R-Utah) sent a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai demanding an explanation. Cruz, Johnson, and Lee cited Pichai’s August 6 testimony pledging that Google “won’t do any work, you know, to politically tilt anything one way or another. It’s against our core values.” In a follow-up letter, he added, “Google does not...

Yesterday I laid out, with the help of the BBC and State Department, the six signs to look for when determining if an election was stolen. There is some indisputable evidence — and many very suggestive indications — that each of those conditions for concluding fraud in this election has been met. But many still refuse to even entertain the idea that this election was as crooked as a witch’s nose. After she’s been in 100 MMA fights. And fell from her broom flat onto her face. The media and Big Tech sensors are working overtime to crush the evidence. So...

Pennsylvania auditors alerted officials of possible dead people and duplicate registrations on the state’s voter rolls last year, but the warnings went unacknowledged. In December 2019, Pennsylvania’s Department of Auditor General (DAG) released the findings of an audit report conducted January 1, 2016 to April 16, 2019 but was limited in scope because of “a lack of cooperation and a failure to provide the necessary information by” Pennyslvania’s Department of State, the Department of Transportation, and four county election offices. Due to the state’s noncooperation, the auditors were “unable to establish with any degree of reasonable assurance” that the state’s...

Tucker just let his guest say Biden will take office in 10 weeks, without push back. Ted Cruz engaged in a heated exchange with Andrew McCabe about Gen. Flynn and the Logan Act, asking if Joe Biden had already violated it. CRUZ: “OK. He is talking with foreign leaders and it doesn’t violate the Logan Act because the Logan Act is unconstitutional, which is why it’s never been used to prosecute anyone. You authorized using it to go after General Flynn as part of a political persecution. I can give you the answer, hell no Joe Biden is not violating the Logan Act. The reason you won’t say it, is because that was your flimsy political...

WASHINGTON — Republicans in the Pennsylvania state legislature on Tuesday said they would take “extraordinary measures” to find out whether the election in their state was fair, despite having no evidence of any wrongdoing. State Rep. Dawn Keefer, a Republican from York County, announced that Republicans in the state legislature would move to conduct an audit of the election, and that the state should not certify the election results, or select electors to the Electoral College, until it is completed. “The General Assembly needs to take extraordinary measures to answer these extraordinary questions,” Keefer said while speaking in front of...

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Republican Michelle Steel defeated first-term Rep. Harley Rouda on Tuesday in a Southern California district, only the second time in more than two decades that a GOP candidate in the state has defeated an incumbent Democrat. Rouda captured Orange County’s 48th District in 2018 from longtime Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, part of a Democratic sweep of seven House seats in California that year. Steel said the vote this year showed the American dream “is alive and well in Orange County.” She vowed to fight for lower taxes, small businesses and their workers, and to defeat the...

Washington (CNN)The Trump administration has carried out sweeping changes atop the Defense Department's civilian leadership structure, removing several of its most senior officials and replacing them with perceived loyalists to the President. The flurry of changes, announced by the Department of Defense in a statement roughly 24 hours after President Donald Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper, have put officials inside the Pentagon on edge and fueled a growing sense of alarm among military and civilian officials, who are concerned about what could come next. Four senior civilian officials have been fired or have resigned since Monday, including Esper,...

Minneapolis officials are considering bringing in officers from other jurisdictions to help the city’s Police Department as they face a wave of violent crime and an officer shortage. If the mayor and City Council approve the plan, officers from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and Metro Transit Police would temporarily work with the city, primarily helping to respond to violent 911 calls. “We’re not gonna be having these people out taking bicycle theft reports. These are going to be people out combating crime issues,” said John Elder, a spokesman for Minneapolis police.
