The coronavirus mutation discovered in Denmark’s mink could spark a new wave of the illness in the country, scientists warn. Authorities in Denmark — the world’s largest producer of mink furs — said five cases of the new virus strain had been recorded on mink farms and 12 cases in humans. The mutation showed a decreased sensitivity against antibodies, meaning it could potentially cause a COVID-19 vaccine to be less effective, experts said....

The Fourteenth Amendment says that we are all equal under the law. I would submit that this is exactly where the Supreme Court throws out all late and mail-in ballots without proper authentication. If "my" vote was in person at the polling place, my identity and eligibility to vote were checked and authorized, and my signature required, any vote not requiring these things and in fact not even requiring a valid identification or signature is in no way legally provable or equal to mine as far as authentication goes. If such garbage is allowed from some voters while others like...

Suppose You Wanted to Steal an Election. How Would You Do It? Suppose you wanted to steal an election. Suppose you needed to steal an election because you were running against a guy who had the country’s economy flying miles high and mood upbeat. And you had no way to beat him straight up. What would you do?How About ….? How about filing lawsuits challenging any effort to clean up voter registration rolls? Call anyone challenging you a racist. How about filing lawsuits to stop requiring voters to show proper ID? Call anyone who challenges you a racist. How about taking advantage of...

In the 4th Congressional District, where Rep. Ben McAdams had held a slim and decreasing lead over challenger Burgess Owens, the script has flipped — the Republican Owens now leads McAdams by just over 2,400 votes. That gives Owens 48.1% of the total vote to McAdams' 47.15%.

Remember “faithless electors” — those almost mythical rogues who Hillary Clinton fans once desperately hoped could save them from a victorious Donald Trump four years ago? Well, there is still such a thing as faithless electors, they are still an incredible longshot, and Trump fans too can now place the very slimmest of hopes in them. So what are faithless electors again?

Despite people being stuck at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, viewership of the 2020 presidential election coverage on Tuesday was down by a whopping 20% compared to 2016, according to Nielsen estimates. About 56.9 million tuned in across 21 networks during the primetime hours of 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. EDT this year as votes poured in for Joe Biden and President Trump. That’s a far cry from the 71.4 million people who watched during that same time frame in 2016, when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the presidential race.

IMPORTANT PART OF ARTICLE: Hoping to avoid a repeat, Congress passed the Electoral Count Act of 1887, which gave states the “safe harbor” deadline by which they could resolve their own disputes without Congress getting involved. After that deadline, if state officials submit multiple sets of conflicting electoral votes, the U.S. House and Senate must agree on which set to accept. (If the chambers don’t agree, the votes certified by the state’s governor prevail.)

Gutless pimplestompers. And they know who they are. Quote Tweet Donald Trump Jr. @DonaldJTrumpJr · 52m The total lack of action from virtually all of the “2024 GOP hopefuls” is pretty amazing. They have a perfect platform to show that they’re willing & able to fight but they will cower to the media mob instead. Don’t worry @realDonaldTrump will fight & they can watch as usual! The harbingers about Twitter’s Orwellian censorship of President Donald Trump and conservatives during the election have already come true. Donation records may help explain the reason. A recent study found that both Facebook employees/PACs and Twitter employees contributed over 90% of their contributions of $200 or more to Democrats. Twitter employees, in particular, have since increased their donation disparity in favor of Democrats to almost 100 percent. Open Secrets records show that for “all federal candidates,” donations of $200 or more from Twitter employees have gone 99.33 percent to Democrats ($574,601) and — wait for it — only 0.67 percent...

The Justice Department has approved the use of armed agents to investigate potential voter fraud at ballot counting centers, skirting the long-standing ban on the use of armed federal officers at polling stations. Justice Department officials told United States attorneys nationwide in a memo that the prohibition only applies to Election Day, not the days after. The statute “does not prevent armed federal law enforcement persons from responding to, investigate or even prevent federal crimes at closed polling places or other locations where votes are being counted,” Richard P. Donoghue wrote in an email sent around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

I've been monitoring the Georgia vote by county since the election. Something strange has happened. In Georgia this morning, the SOS reported all counties as fully counted. If that were the case, then Trump would have remained ahead. Then, they apparently "found" a bunch of extra votes in Wisconsin. Yesterday morning, according the the NY Times numbers per county, they had counted 452,880 ballots and it showed that over 98% of total votes were counted. As of right now, they still show Fulton county as >98% counted. However, the total votes counted is currently shown as 508,389. In other words,...

The court, at Trump's request, issues interim order to election boards to (a) set aside certain mail ballots that lack identifying info for the voter, and (b) not count those votes until after court rules further.

Barring a last-minute stay of execution, Khristian Oliver will be put to death late this afternoon. (Update: Khristian Oliver has indeed been executed as scheduled. His likeness lives on in an altarpiece made by his father, an artist.) In 1998, Oliver, now 32, shot and killed a man whose home he was burglarizing. Oliver’s guilt isn’t being questioned. The argument his attorneys and supporters are using to stave off his upcoming execution has to do with how the jurors in his case handled his sentencing....Another juror highlighted passages which she showed to a fellow juror: “And if he smite him...
