An American cyclist has been suspended for a tweet he sent out regarding President Donald Trump. It is the latest example of the chokehold politics seems to have on sports these days. This past week, Quinn Simmons of the Trek-Segafredo cycling team was suspended for tweets described as “divisive, incendiary, and detrimental.”

America is definitely not Europe, but we can find a number of parallels between European history and contemporary America. For example, we’ve previously written about the Italian Years of Lead as a possible template for urban unrest and low-level inter-tribal warfare in the United States. Another example of how things might play out in the United States is the Spanish Civil War. The Spanish Civil War is known to historians, amateur and professional alike, as the “dress rehearsal for the Second World War.” It is so termed because it pitted one side – which was equipped, armed and funded by...

For months, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Senate Democrats have talked about eliminating the filibuster. And with Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death, the discussion by the Democrats has become even more extreme, with some Senators saying that they must get rid of the filibuster so that they can pack the Supreme Court. Even if not used to pack the Supreme Court, eliminating the filibuster would radically transform the Senate and our country.

Fully informed consent of any abortion event, whether surgical or chemical, should include the long-term implications for women's health and fertility. poiler Alert: For fans of Amazon Prime, trending now is season one of a show called “Utopia,” in which John Cusack plays a billionaire madman who wants to “solve” overpopulation by tricking the world into believing in a global pandemic so he can sell a vaccine that actually sterilizes people. For most of humanity, a medical event ends a person’s ability to have a family. With abortion, the parallels between fact and this fiction are uncomfortably close. Why women have abortions...

U.S.—Trump is polling high among an unexpected group: libertarians, who were energized and drawn to Trump's cause after the New York Times revealed that he paid as little as $750 in federal taxes some years. "Only paying a few hundred in federal theft? This guy is my hero!" said libertarian man Murray Mickelson of New Hampshire. "If only all of us could be that smart with our taxes." "The less theft, the better!"

I have noticed a growing trend at my workplace. Many people are taking advantage of getting sick and staying how for weeks. My HR said you get 80 hours for covid if you get sick.. plus by law your HR can not tell you were to take the covid test. So it if takes days or goodness knows how long so be it One coworker who is 21 already got sick twice and used the 80 hours. Covid test was negative TWICE. Sat at home for weeks. Lady in the legal dept did the same and both tests were negative....

A Republican super PAC, aligned with the party’s Senate leadership, will infuse $9 million into the Senate race in Michigan where incumbent Democrat Gary Peters faces GOP challenger John James. The Senate Leadership Fund is placing the buy Thursday, and the spots will air statewide beginning Saturday on TV and radio. SLF President Steven Law called James “an incredibly impressive advocate for Michigan families and jobs who is taking the fight to Peters for leaving Michiganders hanging in a pandemic.”

The Black Lives Matter movement will develop an armed branch of “peace officers” to combat police brutality in black communities during the so-called war on police, according to one of its leaders. Protests broke out across the country following the death of unarmed Minneapolis black man George Floyd while in police custody, bringing the BLM movement back into national focus. In an interview with the Daily Mail, BLM New York chapter Chairman Hawk Newsome described how the group plans to follow in the footsteps of the Black Panthers Party by matching fire with fire – when necessary. The move is...
  • Woo hoo!! Only 33 days until the most important election in our lifetimes!! And our 4th quarter Freepathon is now underway!!

Here we go, folks. This election will determine whether we continue on as a free Republic with the Constitution and the rule of law preserving our republican form of government as established and continue guaranteeing our God-given Liberty. If we lose this election, the radical democrats will attempt to carry out their plans to pack the courts and do what they wish without constitutional restraints. Then if they succeed in subduing the people (we do have a prior claim per the Declaration) then America would soon be transformed into a third world socialist hellhole. Thank God for President Trump and...

The folks who are the most irredeemably Republican are small business owners. The folks who embrace the new Democratic Socialism and the general concept of bigger government are a mixture, but one of the wealthiest components of that mixture has been people who inherited money. People who didn’t have to work for the money don’t seem nearly as worried about the negative effects of government restrictions on the market, e.g., minimum wage (make it illegal for those with low skill levels to work), more lavish welfare handouts (make it irrational for those with low/medium skill levels to work), and higher...

My Dear FReeper Friends, I pray that this devotional for today brings you all the love, hope, peace and joy that the Lord Jesus Christ promises to all who believe in Him, and accept Him as their Lord and Savior. To those who are undecided, to those who have had so much pain in their lives that they have reasoned that the Lord God has forgotten them, to any who have outright rejected the Gospel of Christ Jesus, this I say to you: Jesus LOVES you more than anyone on earth can ever love you, and He willingly came to...

Political debates only reveal a candidate's abilities and beliefs if we can follow what's going on. Let's auto-mute mics for candidates not on the clock. Of the many things this nation must reaffirm, itÂ’s that words matter and promises should be kept. If former Vice President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump stick to the commitments their campaigns agreed to months ago, Americans will have the option to sit through two more presidential debates this year.As soon as is possible, however, the Commission on Presidential Debates must ensure a return to an informative, meaningful, and respectful discussion between the candidates...

Recently, Scientific American endorsed Joe Biden for president. They claimed that Trump is a science denier, as shown by his response to the COVID crisis. As such, they deemed Trump unfit to care for U.S. citizens: “The evidence and the science show that Donald Trump has badly damaged the U.S. and its people — because he rejects evidence and science.”Nonsense. “Science” doesn’t show anything. Scientists do. And scientists are like the rest of us — biased and contentious. Exhibit A: Scientific American. We often think of scientists as dispassionate observers — a unique type of person who observes, thinks, and...

With Fox News host Chris Wallace being heavily criticized for his bias towards Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden during the first face-off between the latter and President Donald Trump on Tuesday, September 29, social media users were curious as to who will be the moderators for the next two debates. NPR media correspondent and host of On Point Radio David Folkenflik was one of the people who had part of the answer. "Just a reminder folks. The most decent man in DC, Steve Scully of C-SPAN, is next presidential debate moderator. How the hell is *that* going to work?" Another...
  • 'Remember when Trump called your wife ugly, Ted?' CNN host Chris Cuomo and Texas Senator Ted Cruz get personal in 20-minute on-air shouting match over the President, the debate, the media and their families

Chris Cuomo and Ted Cruz came to blows in a lengthy shouting match on CNN on Wednesday night, the crescendo of which was Cuomo reminding Cruz that Trump once called his wife ugly. The 20-minute argument began when Cuomo asked why Cruz didn't confront Trump over his controversial remarks about Proud Boys, an alt-right group, at Tuesday night's presidential debate. From there, it descended into Cuomo saying Cruz had watched from the side lines, 'stroking his beard like a wise man', while the country suffered from COVID-19. Texas Senator Cruz repeatedly bashed the CNN host's brother, New York Governor Andrew...

Is President Trump planning a murder-suicide with the American people? As hyperbolic, as literally insane, as that sounds, it's what Morning Joe was suggesting today. Morning Joe regular Ed Luce of the Financial Times kicked off the crazed assessment: "He’s saying, 'If I’m going to go down, I’m going to take you down with me.' I think there’s a death wish in his approach to this election that is the mark of somebody who's got a very dark mind."Joe Scarborough ran with Luce's "dark mind" warning, saying: It’s always been a fear about Donald Trump that if he was going...
