Sampson County and the Defense of Western Civilization By Boyd Cathey on Sep 30, 2020 Sampson County is a large, mostly rural county in southeastern North Carolina. Like most non-metropolitan areas of the state, it tends to be conservative, in fact, a long-time bastion of the modern Republican Party in a sea of traditionally Democratic-voting counties. But Sampson County illustrates what is occurring all over the Southland. And in microcosm in certain ways it symbolizes the retreat of Western Christian civilization in the face of the overpowering forces of revolution now assaulting our heritage and threatening to dismantle our inheritance....

The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) will give future moderators the option to cut candidates’ microphones following complaints about Tuesday’s initial debate, CBS’s Norah O’Donnell reported Wednesday afternoon. The report comes hours after the bipartisan body announced it would implement changes to make the remaining debates less chaotic. Link“The Commission on Presidential Debates sponsors televised debates for the benefit of the American electorate. Last night’s debate made clear that additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues. The CPD will be carefully considering the changes that it...

Anyone notice this? When do we get to hear this tape? President Donald J. Trump: (01:01:53) So when I listen to Joe talking about a transition, there has been no transition from when I won. I won that election. And if you look at crooked Hillary Clinton, if you look at all of the different people, there was no transition, because they came after me trying to do a coup. They came after me spying on my campaign. They started from the day I won, and even before I won. From the day I came down the escalator with our...

The country's top infectious disease doctor Anthony Fauci said President Trump's claims about his stance on the benefits of face masks were "taken out of context." In an interview that will air Thursday on ABC News’s “Start Here” podcast, Fauci said public health officials did not recommend people wear masks early in the pandemic because there was a shortage of personal protective equipment for health professionals. "So the feeling was that people who were wanting to have masks in the community, namely just people out in the street, might be hoarding masks and making the shortage of masks even greater....

After four months of looting, arson, window breaking, vandalism, intimidation, physical assaults, stabbings and shootings by Black Lives Matter and antifa, the first thing on the media’s mind is … getting Trump to condemn “white supremacists”! It would be as if, on the morning after Pearl Harbor, the League of Nations demanded that FDR condemn American aggression in the Pacific. Why on earth was Trump being badgered by both debate moderator Chris Wallace and Democratic nominee Joe Biden to denounce “white supremacy”? And why wasn’t Biden ever asked to condemn the nonstop violence by antifa that actually has been consuming...

President Donald Trump on Wednesday called out Fox News host Chris Wallace for trying to protect former Vice President Joe Biden at the first presidential debate on Tuesday night. “Can you believe this guy? I was debating two people last night,” Donald Trump said, speaking to a raucous crowd at a campaign rally in Duluth, Minnesota. The president boasted that he won the debate against Biden despite Wallace’s repeated attempts to interrupt his attacks on Biden. “Liberal media is very upset that I took the fight to Biden and exposed his very dangerous agenda,” he said. Trump recalled that he...

President Donald Trump on Wednesday ridiculed former Vice President Joe Biden for calling violent left-wing Antifa groups “an idea” during Tuesday’s first presidential debate. “Joe Biden says Antifa is just an idea,” Trump said. “Well, ideas don’t assault cops and they don’t burn down buildings. Antifa is a domestic terrorist organization.” The president commented during a campaign rally in Duluth, Minnesota, on Wednesday night after Tuesday’s debate. He boasted that he had received endorsements from law enforcement organizations all across the country, and Biden did not receive one. Trump also accused corporate media of fueling the riots throughout the summer,...

Black Entertainment Television founder Robert Johnson told CNBC on Wednesday he’s viewing the election between President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden through the lens of being a businessman. “Where I come out as a businessman, I will take the devil I know over the devil I don’t know anytime of the week,” Johnson said on “Squawk Box.” Johnson, when pressed, refused to outright endorse Trump, instead saying as a longtime corporate executive he knows how the president will react to important issues of the day such as coronavirus and he does not have a handle on Biden would...

A streak of light and then a bright flash was seen cutting across the sky early on Wednesday morning. Did you see it? Early on Wednesday morning, several social media users in Pittsburgh and up and down the East Coast say they saw a bright flash of light and a streak in the sky. The flash of light occurred just before 6:30 a.m. A trucker driving along I-76 in Pennsylvania was able to capture video of the flash from their dashcam. The American Meteor Society, a nonprofit group, said it received more than 200 reports of a bright fireball over...

On Wednesday, Smith opened his show calling out the president's comments during Tuesday night's debate. He said Trump 'called into question the heart of our democracy'. Smith also noted 'the president told a group of white supremacists...to stand back and stand by' and how Biden called Trump 'a racist, a liar, a clown'. He opened his show with no music, arguing the debate had been 'noise' and ended the evening by revealing a CNBC poll found 53 per cent of those asked thought Joe Biden did best in the debate, compared to just 29 per cent for the president.

I sent in my absentee ballot today from Spain. It arrived yesterday. Because it's official business there was no postmark but there was a date of 9/18/2020 on the address label, so if they sent it that day it would have taken 12 days to arrive here. Not bad. The bad part is that I send mail to people in America and it has been taking ages to arrive ever since the lockdowns started. I've had to resend a couple because they never showed up and mail I sent to 2 FReepers in 2 different parts of the country in...

Former first lady Michelle Obama urged Americans not to be turned off of politics by Tuesday night's trainwreck of a presidential debate, arguing that would be playing into President Donald Trump's hands. But we can’t let him win by tuning out altogether,' she wrote Wednesday evening on Instagram. 'We've got to vote for Joe [Biden] in numbers that cannot be denied.'

There's a lot of talk about masks these days since we're all required to wear them when out in public, and one of our viewers called up with a question about them. The viewer did not want his name used but he owns a gun and he has a permit to carry it. He wants to know if it's legal to wear a mask when you're carrying a gun? He says he has heard you are not allowed to under the law. Here's what I found out: Great question and this will give us a chance to dispel a rumor...

The police interrogation of accused Oshawa torso killer Adam Strong teetered on the surreal. At times during a videotaped police interview — played during his first-degree murder trial — it seemed that the movie set gofer was about to get up from the table and walk into the fresh winter air and make his way home. Except that’s not what happened. Strong was arrested in 2017 after “spilling the beans” to cops that the remains of pregnant teen Rori Hache were stashed in his apartment. According to durhamregion.com, the accused killer told DRPS homicide detective Hermano Dorego: “It’s been a...

CLEVELAND, OH—In a brilliant debate performance, candidate Joe Biden offered his most compelling case for election yet, saying: "If I am elected, you'll get to see what all my policy positions are!" After debate moderator Chris Wallace tried to set a diabolical trap for Biden by asking him for his policy positions, Biden shrewdly saw the trap coming a mile away and refused to answer the question. "Naw, that's a trap. A bunch of malarkey, I say!" Biden retorted. "I ain't gonna tell you nothin'. You'll just try to use my policy positions to make me look bad! Well, I...
