Famed attorney and Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz filed a defamation suit against CNN on Tuesday seeking $300 million for what he called a "willful, deliberate, malicious effort to destroy my credibility." Dershowitz told Fox News that CNN selectively edited a clip of his remarks from the Senate floor during President Trump's impeachment trial where he broke down the illegalities surrounding a "quid pro quo" as a member of the president's defense team. The Constitutional scholar alleges in the lawsuit that the news outlet propagated a “sea of lies” by re-airing only part of his quote, which he...

The city manager of a Los Angeles-area suburb was put on paid administrative leave Tuesday after his social media post on the ambush shooting of two sheriffs' deputies over the weekend was heavily criticized. Jose Ometeotl was put on leave pending an internal investigation, Lynwood City Councilman Salvador Alatorre told Fox News following the council's closed session meeting Tuesday night. Alatorre put forth the motion to discipline or dismiss Ometeotl following his personal Instagram post that read "chickens come home to roost" after two deputies were shot multiple times while sitting in their patrol vehicle Saturday in the nearby city...

ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - A change could be coming to the Rock Hill area. City council will take a vote on the mask mandate that has been in place since July. This vote would make Rock Hill’s mask mandate indefinite until council decides to repeal it. The mandate would have expired on September 7 if council had not voted to extend it until mid-October. Now, council members are trying to keep the mandate without having to vote every 60 days. This is the second reading for this emergency ordinance, so if it passes tonight, it will be enacted. Only...

Joe Biden raised eyebrows on Tuesday evening over his attempt to appeal to Hispanic voters at a campaign event in Kissimmee, Fla. The event was meant to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month. The Democratic candidate was the last speaker of the event to take the podium following several supporters including Eva Longoria, Ricky Martin and Luis Fonsi. However, when Biden approached the podium, he paused and reached for his phone in his pocket.

One of the most memorable moments from the Republican National Convention came when Cuban-born Maximo Alvarez cautioned Americans against creeping socialism. “I’ve seen movements like this before,” he warned last month. The Florida businessman is hardly alone among those who fled socialist countries. On social media and in interviews with Fox News, other immigrants who settled in the U.S. say that recent political shifts here – including class warfare, riots and language policing, not to mention calls for expansive government programs – are starting to remind them of what they left behind.

Dr. Anthony Fauci is an adviser to President Donald Trump and something of an American folk hero for his steady, calm leadership during the pandemic crisis. At least one poll shows that Americans trust Fauci more than Trump on the coronavirus pandemic—and few scientists are portrayed on TV by Brad Pitt. But just last year, the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the organization led by Dr. Fauci, funded scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and other institutions for work on gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses. In 2019, with the backing of NIAID, the National Institutes of Health...

Sometime early in August, the news of a certain Chinese virologist by the name of Dr. Li-Meng Yan broke out after she claimed that the whole coronavirus was actually derived from the known Zhoushan bat virus. In a certain live stream interview with the known YouTube channel called G-Translator on August 5, Dr. Yan Li-Meng alleged that the whole coronavirus actually came from the People’s Liberation Army or PLA’s very own lab. Dr. Yan then, later on, fled her own home country in fear for her safety. The known Chinese National Health Commission together with the University of Hong Kong...

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The unusually-early storm that is hitting New Mexico has been causing a lot of damage – there's power outages, flooding, downed trees, and slick roads across the state. The wind in the metro peaked Tuesday evening at over 70 mph. The intersection at 5th Street and Lomas was closed Wednesday because roof panels were blown off the district courthouse. PNM officials also said some of their power line poles just snapped or were lifted from their foundation altogether. But that's not all – a viral video shows a porta-potty on the move down Central near Tramway. Watch...

NEW YORK — The World Series will be played entirely at the Texas Rangers’ new ballpark in Arlington, Texas, as part of a bubble agreement between Major League Baseball and the players’ association, the first time the sport’s championship will be played entirely at one site since 1944. As part of an agreement finalized Tuesday, the Division Series, League Championship Series and World Series will be part of a bubble designed to minimize exposure to the coronavirus, which decimated the regular season and limited it to a 60-game schedule for each club. The best-of-three first round of the postseason —...

Two disastrous actions taken by Barack Hussein Obama during his presidency have delivered extensive damage to the US military, just as planned. The first was the systematic purging of nearly 200 senior officers over five years and their subsequent replacement by Democrat loyalists, as reported here. His second ignominious action taken was the 2011 Executive Order 13583 directing “government-wide diversity and inclusion training,” which, by 2020, included the implementation of Marxist critical race theory training in all federal agencies including the US military services. The results from these actions are now crystal clear. Retired Obama-era flag and general officers (FOGO),...

NORFOLK, Va. — Tuesday marked the anniversary of a significant day -- tactically speaking -- in American military history. The Korean War's Inchon Landing happened on September 15,1950. The large-scale amphibious assault invovled 75,000 troops and 261 naval vessels. The pivotal operation resulted in UN forces recapturing the South Korean capital of Seoul.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — After nearly one hundred years in business, Sue Bee Honey is changing its longtime logo. The cooperative of beekeepers from across the nation is painting over the wall of its headquarters on Lewis Boulevard where an image of a Native American girl with a feather in her hair and wings has been featured for years. The president of the Sioux Honey Association says the change has been in the works and isn't linked to recent concerns by some companies about racial insensitivity. "We have moved away from that logo with any of our labels and consumer...

Five cases of Vibrio vulnificus infections have been reported since July, with patients from Fairfield, Middlesex and New Haven counties between the ages of 49 and 85. Four were male and one female. Two patients had septicemia, an infection of the bloodstream, while three had serious wound infections. All five patients were hospitalized, and all five cases reported exposure to salt or brackish water during activities such as swimming, crabbing, and boating. All five patients had pre-existing wounds or sustained new wounds during these activities, which officials say led to the Vibrio infections. Vibrio vulnificus infection is an extremely rare...

- U.S. competition enforcers are preparing a possible antitrust lawsuit against Facebook Inc., according to a person familiar with the matter. The Federal Trade Commission has been investigating Facebook for more than a year over whether the social media giant has harmed competition and could file a case by the end of the year, said the person, who was granted anonymity because the inquiry is confidential. No final decision has been made, the person added. A lawsuit by the FTC would mark another major escalation by U.S. officials in their campaign against America’s technology giants, which have come under intense...

For some reason, former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley was a speaker at the Republican convention on Monday night. Nobody is fooled by the unified front that Haley’s appearance presents. Haley was not at the RNC to signal her support for the populist agenda that Donald Trump ran on in 2016, and should run on in 2020 as well. She was there to advance her own ambitions, through superficial association with the Trump administration. These ambitions should be checked now. Allowing Nikki Haley to become a leader in the Republican Party would be a return to Bush-era conservatism, defined by...
