SIOUX CITY, Iowa After nearly one hundred years in business, Sue Bee Honey is changing its longtime logo.
The cooperative of beekeepers from across the nation is painting over the wall of its headquarters on Lewis Boulevard where an image of a Native American girl with a feather in her hair and wings has been featured for years.
The president of the Sioux Honey Association says the change has been in the works and isn't linked to recent concerns by some companies about racial insensitivity.
"We have moved away from that logo with any of our labels and consumer promotions probably 4 or 5 years ago," said President Mark Mammen. "And what we really wanted over the last few years, our new focus or our renewed focus I should say has been on our two main brands and the fact that we are a cooperative."
It's hoped the new signage will be done by the end of the year as the cooperative gets ready to celebrates its 100th anniversary next year.
Somebody has a pathetic sort of life, if this tiny jar of Sue Bee Honey is bothering them enough to Tweet about it.
Get a hobby. Maybe Bee keeping.
File under; Innocuous, Benign or nearly Invisible.
I’ve that honey is an anti-bacterial, so when Sue Bee jams its product up its @ss, it will be helpful...
Unfortunate. I like their product.
Archaeologists found 3000-year-old honey and found it perfectly edible. Proctologists can decide if they want to try your Sue Bee after placement.
The Sue Bee girl is cute. But, obviously the best way to honor Indians is to never, ever see them or hear from them. They must be hidden away in Biden’s basement.
Why do liberals want to make Indians invisible?
Got local Honey.It’s very good.
When are they going to change the name of that town?
Local honey will be made from bees who have been to local flowers, increasing the chance that the honey will contain antibodies that ward off local allergies. That was recommended to me when I moved here and there seems to be some wisdom in it.
Sue Bee should have told the liberals to buzz off.
Lizzy Warren is 1/1024 in favor of this.

When the licall Miami University was harrangued inti changing its mascot from the Redskins to tge Red Hawks, no one appreciated my idea if changing the university name from Miami so that the tribe be forgotten entirely.
Does this mean we can’t play the Running Bear song any more?
(yes, Native Americans in my bloodline - none of us ever complained about this type of nonsense)
I should have made reserva.......

Hmmmmmm...
Same reason they want Aunt Jemima, Uncle Tom and the others invisible.
