This would be the day when Ed Morrissey and I would kick off our yearly contest of reviewing the week’s games and picking some winners. This isn’t any sort of protest we’re launching. It’s just that both of us have lost our enthusiasm for focusing on the NFL after all of the discord that’s been happening and neither of us felt like doing it this year. My apologies to anyone who was looking forward to it. As of only a couple of hours before game time, I still don’t know what I’ll be doing going forward. Maybe it depends on...

ADL points out Hamas and anti-Semitism; CAIR cries “Islamophobia". Joe Kaufman, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, is Chairman of the Joe Kaufman Security Initiative and the 2014, 2016 and 2018 Republican Nominee for U.S. House of Representatives (Florida-CD23). Last month, a letter was published, signed by a large number of organizations, calling on Progressives to “drop” their partnerships with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), claiming that the ADL “undermines the rights of marginalized communities.” What is at the heart of this letter is the perception that the ADL is a defense mechanism for the state of...

As wildfires ravage the American West Coast, with more than four million acres burned and at least 33 people dead, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., slammed President Donald Trump for his comments redirecting blame for the wildfires away from climate change. "We know that climate change is making fires start easier, spread faster and intensify. And it is maddening right now that when we have this cosmic challenge to our communities, with the entire West Coast of the United States on fire, to have a president to deny that ... these are climate fires," Inslee told...

Black Lives Matter mob blocks emergency room for L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies gunned down Saturday night. On Saturday night, two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies stationed their patrol car near the Willowbrook Metro station in Compton. At approximately 7 p.m., a masked gunman appeared to walk past the vehicle then turned and fired multiple shots, hitting both deputies. A man slowly creeps up to the vehicle like he’s stalking it, fires shots through the window.” The Sheriff’s department posted the video and...

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A man is facing charges after Portland police say he used a Molotov cocktail to ignite a brush fire along Interstate 205 near East Burnside Street Sunday. Officers responded to a reported brush fire in the 9600 block of East Burnside Street shortly after 4:30 p.m. In the area, they found a section of grass along the I-205 freeway was burning. Firefighters extinguished the flames. About an hour later, a witness contacted officers and pointed out the suspect accused of starting the fire; he was in a nearby tent. The suspect, 45-year-old Domingo Lopez, Jr.,...

His proposal—aside from spending on financial crisis, pandemic—would represent the biggest increase in decades Joe Biden won the Democratic presidential nomination running as a moderate, rejecting the big-government plans of progressive rivals as unaffordable. In the general election campaign, he has rolled out his own multi-trillion-dollar platform that a new study finds would push long-term Washington spending to its highest level in decades. The former vice president has proposed a total of $5.4 trillion in new spending over the next 10 years, according to an analysis published Monday by the Penn Wharton Budget Model, a nonpartisan group at the University...

China will have a great friend in the White House if Joe Biden wins the presidency. At the same time, Joe Biden’s son Hunter will acquire more friends in Beijing anxious to do business with a member of the U.S. president’s immediate family in order to gain access to the Oval Office. Joe Biden has a long record evidencing his pro-China bias. Thus, it was not a surprise when Biden said last year about China: “They’re not bad folks, folks … They’re not competition for us." After Biden received backlash for this remark, Biden’s handlers tried to turn him into...

When the novel coronavirus swept through the travel industry in March, grounding flights and stalling airplane orders, TransDigm didn’t wait for a congressional bailout in order to keep itself solvent. It didn’t have to. On March 23, with a green light from Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, the Fed announced that it would buy as much corporate debt as necessary — in the form of bonds — to reassure companies that they could raise money they needed to ride out the pandemic. Within a few weeks, the bond market had nearly regained the ground it lost, spurring a debt boom. U.S....

The Left steps up its all-out war against reality. The far-Left hate site Raw Story took the opportunity of the 19th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 jihad terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people to advance the claim that nowadays, the foremost threat the nation faces is not from jihadis, but from – you guessed it – “far-right white supremacists who love Trump.” It’s as predictable as it is absurd. The Raw Story piece, written by Alex Henderson and picked up from the even loonier AlterNet, claims that “although the 9/11 terrorist attacks underscored the dangerous fanaticism of far-right...

The Shi'ite regime in Iran strongly denies the Holocaust, and this was especially the case during the presidency of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. A congress on denial was held in Tehran in 2006, and another in 2009. One Hamid Reza Nikbakhsh (a member of the Iranian World War II Society in Tehran) published an e-book entitled The Holocaust: The Jews’ Greatest Lie. Holocaust denial unites Sunni and Shi'ite radicals. Thus, Hussein Triki, the former Arab League representative in Argentina, a Sunni—and not a radical Islamist but rather a mainstream figure—appeared on the Iranian Al-Alam network on March 2, 2011, and said that...

One of the main figures in President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial will serve as a visiting fellow at Penn’s Perry World House this academic year. Retired Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who was fired from the White House National Security Council in February, played a central role in the scandal that led to Trump’s impeachment by the House of Representatives in late 2019. Vindman’s appointment as a Perry World House visiting fellow is the latest step in his transformation from a little-known government official to a prominent anti-Trump national security figure.

After nearly 50 years of serving as senior pastor at First Baptist Church Atlanta, Charles Stanley announced during a pre-recorded streaming service on Sunday that he is stepping down. The megachurch said Stanley will be replaced by Dr. Anthony George. “Earlier this month, I informed the board that I felt the time had come for me to step down as senior pastor,” Stanley said. “I have many wonderful memories. But as much as I love being your pastor, I know in my heart this season has come to an end.” Stanley, a former president of the Southern Baptist Convention and...

Democrats seem to win this seat whenever the GOP goes south(2006) or loses it toa pretty boy at the top of the ticket(2008). 2018 was different. Trump won by 7% and Republican John Faso found a new way to lose(by 3%). The loss was to a rapper. Perhaps BLM/Antifa will hand it back to us unless the district has become too ethnic but if Trump won so can we.

Detroit Will Breathe, the Motor City's BLM franchisee, won a hollow victory last week when a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order that bars Detroit police from using certain non-lethal tactics on "peaceful protesters." Detroit police chief James Craig responded to the TRO with a shrug. It changes nothing, he told reporters, because that's how his department always handles peaceful protesters.  "Every time we've had to use less-than-lethal force, it's been to address violence by protesters, resisting arrest, or when they've tried to take over an intersection in violation of the law." Compared to the conflagrations BLM has incited in cities like Minneapolis,...

In order to save our country, we need to defend and preserve our system of capitalism. It cannot be defended by simply pointing out that socialism has never worked or by pointing out that capitalism is the only system that has raised people out of poverty. Socialists don't seem to care about these facts. Instead, they claim that they can implement socialism the right way. It is hard to defend capitalism because it has been under attack for decades and the attacks are believed. Many of these assaults have taken place in school with numerous subtle or outright negative comments...
