Lawmakers were seen wearing bulletproof vests as armed protesters stormed Michigan's Capitol in Lansing just moments before the state's House of Representatives denied Gov Gretchen Whitmer's request to extend her state of emergency. Photos from inside the Michigan House Chamber showed elected officials wearing bulletproof vests while men holding guns stood above them. 'Directly above me, men with rifles yelling at us. Some of my colleagues who own bullet proof vests are wearing them. I have never appreciated our Sergeants-at-Arms more than today,' Sen Dayna Polehanki tweeted Thursday afternoon. In Michigan, guns are permitted inside the state's Capitol as long...

I’ve said it a million times: I support mitigation, and I support our stay-at-home order. But I cannot make any sense of how Governor Jay Inslee has been enforcing these policies. This week, Inslee emphasized that the state will resume public day-use of state parks, but with no overnight camping. Uh, Jay … walk five minutes in any direction from your Olympia office. You’ll see hundreds of people overnight camping with no social distancing. We also have those campers in Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bremerton, and all other cities in the region. **SNIP** Tuesday’s Seattle Times had a story about how...

During the 2016 presidential campaign, Matt Drudge’s news aggregator, Drudge Report, was often called an “echo chamber” for Trump supporters. This wasn’t a fair assessment as the site would report on both good and bad for the President. Granted, even the “bad” stories were often from sources that spun the news in his favor, but he did not ignore the news like so many in mainstream media do today. Fast forward to the anti-Trump phase of the Drudge Report and it really has become an echo chamber. Not only does the site publish anti-Trump stories while ignoring anything that could...

>In that final report, yes, Russian collusion was debunked as well as the Trump dossier but omitted key pieces on information on Page, who was smeared as some Dark Lord of the Sith regarding Russian collusion, but who had actually worked with the CIA, FBI, and the State Department. And while no direct evidence of Trump-Russia collusion was found, that doesn’t mean that Mueller’s team, a group of hardcore liberals, were desperate in trying to find some. While some criticized Mueller’s team’s political affiliations, I was okay with it. The endless stream of nothing burger bombshells from the liberal media...

VIDEO Now that one of the allegations against Joe Biden has been confirmed by a phone call to the Larry King Show in 1993, The Young Turks have gone into a deep depression panic mode over the political future of the Democrats and the Left. Although Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian confront what might be their sad fate this year, as this video reveals, it could be much much worse than they imagine. As an act of mercy, I am begging everybody NOT to show this video to The Young Turks. Better that they spend the next few weeks...

Jason Blum doesn’t think Hollywood tentpoles with currently suspended productions will resume filming until 2021. Every major studio movie that was in production went on hiatus in March amid the coronavirus pandemic, from Disney’s “Shang-Chi” to Warner Bros.’ “The Batman” and “The Matrix 4.” Blum told the Los Angeles Times things might be different for small-scale productions, but he maintained that getting studio productions up and running will be near impossible without widespread coronavirus testing. “I do think smaller productions will start sooner, but I don’t think we’re going to see Marvel movies shooting, or big expensive movies, until 2021,”...

Actress Holly Marie Combs has blamed President Donald Trump for the death of her grandfather, who voted for the president, following his death this week as a result of the Chinese coronavirus. The Pretty Little Liars star made the comments in response to a Trump tweet where he denied having ever described the pandemic as a “hoax.” “I never said the pandemic was a Hoax! Who would say such a thing?” Trump wrote. “I said that the Do Nothing Democrats, together with their Mainstream Media partners, are the Hoax. They have been called out & embarrassed on this, even admitting they were...

Sixteen elk died sometime during the winter at an eastern Idaho wildlife management area when a stack of hay containing 2,000-pound (900-kilogram) bales collapsed and fell, crushing some of the elk and causing others to be trampled to death. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game said Saturday that it appears the elk broke through a high fence and ate at the bottom of the haystack, causing it to collapse. The haystack is on the Tex Creek Wildlife Management Area about 15 miles east of Idaho Falls. Fish and Game officials investigated after receiving a report from a concerned citizen....

WASHINGTON — With the US economy faltering, President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign is switching gears and launching a seven-figure ad blitz heralding “a great American comeback,” The Post has learned. The weeklong, nationwide advertising campaign beginning Sunday will praise the president’s handling of the coronavirus crisis and provide an “inspirational message about the unyielding resolve of Americans,” a senior campaign official said Thursday. Low unemployment and a roaring financial market had been the bedrock of Trump’s campaign, but with unemployment claims reaching 30 million in the past month, the campaign will begin focusing on the tax cuts, deregulation and job...

A set of ancient copper ingots shaped as discs have been found in a shipwreck near a Black Sea cape in Southeast Bulgaria shedding light on the maritime trade of the Ancient Thracians during the Late Bronze Age (second half of the 2nd millennium BC) as they are analogous to copper ingots found in two famous ancient shipwrecks on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, at Gelidonya and Uluburun. The disc-like Late Bronze Age copper ingots in question have been discovered inside a Late Bronze Age shipwreck near Bulgaria's Maslen Nos, i.e. "Oily Cape", alongside other artifacts.
