A group of Outer Banks property owners have filed a federal lawsuit against local officials who have blocked them from accessing their second homes during the coronavirus pandemic. On March 20, North Carolina's Dare County - which includes the middle part of the Outer Banks - issued an order barring non-state residents from entering the area in a bid to stop the spread of COVID-19. Checkpoints have been set up along major highways, and those trying to enter the county must produce a North Carolina driver's license or a 'Permanent Resident Permit'.

Will Democrats use fear of coronavirus — and that election in Wisconsin the other day — to push for their ultimate power fantasy, a national mail-in election in November? Remember the wisdom of failed Chicago mayor and now Democratic TV talking head Rahm Emanuel: “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.” [T]he Democratic push is on to leverage the next coronavirus aid package to force all states into the vote-by-mail camp. Republicans insist that a mail-in vote would lead to massive vote fraud. They demand both in-person voting and voter ID. Democrats insist the Republicans argument is cynical,...

Easter may not bring America the victory in the war against the coronavirus pandemic that President Donald Trump anticipated. But in this Holy Week, we may be reaching our Saratoga moment, our turning point. While New York state reported a record number of deaths from the virus on Tuesday, over 1,800, new hospitalizations were down. Referrals of patients to ICUs were down. Intubations were down. And the discharge rate for patients from hospitals was holding steady. The thousands of ventilators Gov. Andrew Cuomo had been crying out for are, apparently, not immediately needed. The U.S. Navy hospital ship Comfort...

Can Hillary Read a Timeline? Rep. Dan Crenshaw fired off a brutal response after Hillary Clinton posted yet another attack on President Trump and his coronavirus response. Crenshaw eviscerated Hillary Clinton The former First Lady shared a Washington Post story and quote with her social media followers, which falsely alleges the President took over two months to treat the pandemic seriously. “Replace this man in November,” she added. Crenshaw responded to the bitter two-time failed presidential candidate as he often does – using facts to thoroughly embarrass those trying to score cheap political points. (snip) Denial? From the man who...

They tell you to hunker down. How long are we supposed to hunker down until?" asked Levin, who made clear that he was not questioning the sincerity of Fauci and Birx's efforts to fight the virus. "What happens after we are done hunkering down?" Levin went on. "Doesn't that mean millions of people never had the virus because they successfully hunkered down? Doesn't that mean millions of people will be highly susceptible to getting it again or getting it the first time? They are not developing an immunity. Don't you really mean mitigation today eliminates the herd immunity necessary for...

Lost on a rainy Friday night, a priest stumbles into a monastery and requests shelter there. Fortunately, he's just in time for dinner and was treated to the best fish and chips he's ever had. After dinner, he goes into the kitchen to thank the chefs. He is met by two brothers, "Hello, I'm Brother Michael, and this is Brother Francis." "I'm very pleased to meet you. I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful dinner. The fish and chips were the best I've ever tasted. Out of curiosity, who cooked what?" Brother Michael replied, "Well, I'm the fish...

“Vaccines, for Bill Gates, are a strategic philanthropy that feed his many vaccine-related businesses (including Microsoft’s ambition to control a global vac ID enterprise) and give him dictatorial control over global health policy—the spear tip of corporate neo-imperialism. Gates’ obsession with vaccines seems fueled by a messianic conviction that he is ordained to save the world with technology and a god-like willingness to experiment with the lives of lesser humans. Promising to eradicate Polio with $1.2 billion, Gates took control of India ‘s National Advisory Board (NAB) and mandated 50 polio vaccines (up from 5) to every child before age...

Relying on a model developed by experts at the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Public Health, Governor Tim Walz issued a broad shutdown order on March 25. Governor Walz asserted that, under the model’s projections, up to 74,000 Minnesotans would die of the Wuhan virus absent the shutdown. Later we learned that, under the model’s projection, 50,000 Minnesotans would die with the shutdown. In his most recent remarks, extending the shutdown order to May 4, Governor Walz advised that the model wasn’t to be taken literally. To people like me, who spent time trying to figure how...

JPMorgan economists cut their second-quarter forecast even more, now expecting the economy will decline by 40%The economists said the 16.8 million jobless claims filed in the last three weeks indicate a huge surge in job losses, which they estimate at 25 million in April. A number of Wall Street firms expect contractions in the second quarter of 30% or more. JPMorgan economists issued an even more dire forecast, now foreseeing a 40% decline in the nation’s gross domestic product for the second quarter and a surge in April’s unemployment rate to 20% with 25 million jobs lost.In an earlier forecast, they said...

For Aldo Martinez, a paramedic in Fort Myers, Fla., who often works a 37-hour shift, the long days have become routine since the coronavirus pandemic broke out -- several of his colleagues have had to self-quarantine out of fears they may have been exposed to COVID-19. Aside from filling in for his colleagues, tending to the dozens of calls he receives each day, and keeping himself safe on the job, Aldo feels an extra degree of pressure as one of more nearly 680,000 young immigrants whose ability to work in the country would be threatened if the Deferred Action for...

Some takeaways from the article: "Immunity to seasonal coronaviruses (such as those that cause common colds), for example, starts declining a couple of weeks after infection. And within a year, some people are vulnerable to reinfection." "But studies of SARS-CoV—the virus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, which shares a considerable amount of its genetic material with SARS-CoV-2—are more promising. Antibody testing shows SARS-CoV immunity peaks at around four months and offers protection for roughly two to three years." "Even if the antibodies stick around in the body, however, it is not yet certain that they will prevent...

During an interview that aired on Thursday’s broadcast of CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Microsoft co-founder and co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Bill Gates was asked to react to other efforts around the globe to take on coronavirus, particularly China, a country that proclaimed to have moved past the height of the pandemic. Gates’ labeled Mainland China’s efforts as “extreme intervention,” describing the outcome as having been able to “crush that epidemic.” “China took the situation in Wuhan, which was quite dramatic, and by extreme intervention in terms of reducing movement — they were able to crush that epidemic,”...

It was probably just coincidence that Nevada’s governor issued an order closing golf courses just a few hours after a newspaper photographer tweeted a picture of O.J. Simpson playing 18 holes in Las Vegas. Simpson himself seemed resigned to it, tweeting in a video later that extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. “This is serious ... people are losing their lives,” he said. Before Gov. Steve Sisolak acted on Wednesday, the idea of people playing golf during the pandemic was already being debated on social media. There was predictable outrage among some, who said golfers were flouting social distancing guidelines...

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied" (Matt. 5:6). Only Christ can satisfy your deepest needs. Within every man and woman is a hunger and thirst only God can satisfy. That's why Jesus said, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst" (John 6:35). Sadly, most people search for happiness in the wrong places. The prodigal son in Luke 15 is one example. He turned from God to pursue sinful pleasures, but soon discovered that sin cannot satisfy...

It’s just the flu, bro. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/04/strange-total-us-deaths-march-2020-actually-15-average-prior-four-years/ The numbers above have some grey area but essentially fewer people are dying now than in past years. A demographer might say there is a slight trend up or down in overall death rates due to an aging population. Regardless, overall death rates are way harder to fudge than cause of death numbers. But Flubros and Bras don’t need numbers to smell a rat. We have a manufactured crisis. A silver lining? When this is done there will be an anti-modeler/anti-scientist movement in America. This may help the world clue in that if modelers...

Unbelievable. Never let a crisis go to waste must be the motto of media....after being hit with UNPRECEDENTED requests, the media in Miami seeks out ONLY angry people who have not been able to reach the unemployment web site. Governor DeSantis just two or three days ago announced MASSIVE improvements to the site...no matter, media still screams he is failing. By the way, NO EVIDENCE any of the people interviewed have tried to access the web site. Also, the media cannot seem to find ANYONE who has gotten through. Only angry people. Yesterday the media had egg on their face....

Last night Senator Dr. Scott Jensen from Minnesota went on The Ingraham Angle to discuss how the AMA is encouraging American doctors to overcount coronavirus deaths across the US. This was after Dr. Scott Jensen, a Minnesota physician and Republican state senator, told a local station he received a 7-page document coaching him to fill out death certificates with a COVID-19 diagnosis without a lab test to confirm the patient actually had the virus. Dr. Jensen also disclosed that hospitals are paid more if they list patients with a COVID-19 diagnosis. And hospitals get paid THREE TIMES AS MUCH if...

A Massachusetts man convicted of repeatedly raping a 12-year-old boy was ordered released from jail Friday — because he suffers from health conditions that can make him vulnerable to coronavirus, according to the New York Post. Glenn Christie was convicted of child rape and indecent assault on a child under 14 and was being held for violating his probation conditions, according to the report. This is just one of the many cases where rapists and other criminals are released from prison because of the Coronavirus! A statewide emergency order in California sets bail at $0 for misdemeanor and lower-level felony...
