Will Democrats use fear of coronavirus — and that election in Wisconsin the other day — to push for their ultimate power fantasy, a national mail-in election in November?
Remember the wisdom of failed Chicago mayor and now Democratic TV talking head Rahm Emanuel: “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.”
[T]he Democratic push is on to leverage the next coronavirus aid package to force all states into the vote-by-mail camp.
Republicans insist that a mail-in vote would lead to massive vote fraud. They demand both in-person voting and voter ID. Democrats insist the Republicans argument is cynical, and really is about lowering Democratic turnout, while subjecting all of us to death.
The Constitution does not give Americans the “right” to vote by mail.
Trump, like other Republicans, has raised the prospect of vote fraud with a national mail-in vote. “You’d never have a Republican elected in this country again,” the president said.
The Wisconsin vote was indeed insane. Democratic Gov. Tony Evers waffled for weeks, first supporting an election, then trying to stop it at the last minute, and desperately seeking to shove in new election rules without the benefit of legislation. This made a complete shambles of the law, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court shot it down. And the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against a federal court extension of time to cast absentee ballots.
Democrats and their pundits pounced on the Republicans — as monsters who’d risk the lives of voters in a bid for raw power
But they weren’t bothered when Illinois Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker pushed a coronavirus primary on March 17. He’d already closed bars, restaurants and shut down St. Patrick’s Day parades. As the bar owners held last-chance farewell parties before the shutdown, Pritzker condemned them.
And he held his election anyway.

So some union postal workers who are dyed-in-the-wool Dems lost a few tubs of ballots to try and make Nancy’s case for her.

Wouldn’t Pence be next in line? Is there anything in the Constitution regarding a circumstance as this? I’m hoping things will open up by May 1st. If not there’s going to be a revolt. At least by the true Americans. Me for one.

Legitimizes ballots in the car trunk. They want the ultimate voter fraud. In the small business stimulus bill pelousi held up is money for the postal service, coincidence?
Yeah, 3 large tubs of absentee ballots wwent missing from reliably Republican areas of the state. Coincidence?
They should put Publishers Clearing House in charge of sending out the ballots. Their crap NEVER fails to find my mailbox.
John Kass is the only writer at the Chicago Tribune that I like and follow. I think he is genuine old school and will rip anyone relentlessly when he gets his teeth into any kind of scandal or fraud, doesn’t matter the letter after your name at all.

But otherwise, yeah — the Democrat Postal Workers Union getting caught red-handed mishandling ballots is a great recommendation for using this Democrat fraud-ridden system nationwide.
What could go wrong?
Mail-In Elections and Universal Basic Income are what the Socialists want before this crises is over. And once you have them, you can’t go back. Try taking away UBI 6 months after the bears got fat from handouts.
It’s why the hysteria over HCQ. It will end the crises too soon, especially once some country or State starts handing it out as a preventative.
No, it ought to be worked up...the county ballot office would mail it by certified mail, which you would have to show an ID to the Post Office, to prove who you are. Without the ID, you don’t get the mail-in ballot by the postal employee.
We can kill two birds with one stone on this.
