Since our Nation’s earliest days, farming communities have been a bedrock of our society. In a letter to George Washington, Thomas Jefferson famously stated that agriculture “is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals, and happiness.† As our Nation continues to face the unique challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, we pay tribute to the unbeatable strength of America’s agricultural producers as they once again answer the call to feed our country and the world. On this National Agriculture Day, and now more than ever, we salute and honor the men...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) plan to fight the coronavirus includes a national mandate for ballot harvesting, same-day voter registration, and federally-mandated early voting provisions just in time for the 2020 presidential election. As part of Pelosi’s coronavirus plan, House Democrats slipped in multiple measures from their H.R. 1 legislation that would implement nationwide ballot harvesting for federal elections — effectively allowing political operatives to collect and deliver an endless number of absentee ballots from voters. Pelosi’s coronavirus plan allows “any person to return a voted and sealed absentee ballot” to a designated election office or post office and does...

The Tampa Bay Times reports DeSantis said Monday that New Yorkers are fleeing the state and flocking to Florida to avoid NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s stay-at-home order, a near lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic. “If you look at what happened in New York, when they did the stay at home order, what did people do?” DeSantis said. “Well, a lot of people fled the city. ... We’re getting huge amounts of people flying in.” On Monday, there were 190 direct flights to Florida from the New York and New Jersey area, he said.

The Democrats are as addicted to politics, their version anyway, as a junkie in a homeless camp is to crack or meth. It’s as if they mainlined Rahm Emanuel’s neo-Leninist apothegm—“You never let a serious crisis go to waste”—straight to their Vena Cavas and can’t get enough of it. Now, that includes in a pandemic! What next? Nuclear war? Think of the possibilities! You could ask for almost anything—assuming there’s anybody left to ask. But Rahm’s watchwords (echoed recently by Rep. James Clyburn), it’s safe to predict, will prove to be a curse to himself and his party rather than...

Hedge-fund manager David Tepper says there is nothing wrong with “nibbling” at stocks that have experienced a brutal selloff in the past month, amid growing fears centered on the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. However, the star fund manager and billionaire says that U.S. lawmakers and the Trump administration need to act quickly to stabilize the economy and mitigate the damage from the deadly pathogen. “There’s nothing wrong with nibbling here,” the founder of Appaloosa Management said during a phone interview with CNBC on Monday, referring to stocks that have fallen at an unprecedented rate, as business activity across...

Of all the places in the world to ride out the coronavirus crisis, I can think of few better than Hong Kong. Yes, its government has made a few mistakes, most prominent among them a lack of preparedness in crucial areas. But Hongkongers are a tough and critical lot and the errors have been swiftly pointed out and, often enough, rectified. Put my predilection down to experiences with previous health emergencies, good infrastructure and a population with a spirit grounded in self-preservation. Hong Kong stands out, along with Singapore and Macau, as having relatively low rates of infection, despite their...

Italy’s number of new Covid-19 cases dropped to a five-day low on Monday, easing tension on overstretched hospitals and bringing a glimmer of hope to a nation that has lost more lives than any other country to the pandemic. In Spain, however, more people died in the last 24 hours than at any point since the coronavirus outbreak erupted in what has become Europe’s second most devastated country. Italian health authorities announced 4,789 new cases in the last 24 hours, a drop from 5,560 on Sunday and 6,557 on Saturday. It was also lower than the levels of Thursday and...

EVENT C A N C E L L E D Due to Coronvirus By Order of Supreme Governor Absolutely NO TRESPASSING

US President Donald Trump on Monday dropped his use of the term “Chinese virus” for the coronavirus that has been spreading worldwide and called for the protection of Asian-Americans. “It’s very important that we totally protect our Asian-American community in the United States and all around the world,” Trump said at a White House briefing. “They’re amazing people and the spreading of the virus is not their fault in any way shape or form,” he said. “They’re working closely with us to get rid of it. We will prevail together. It’s very important.” Asked in the briefing why he stopped...

It absolutely amazes me when I listen to the main media today opposed to the media of 19 years ago when Sept. 11, 2001, America suffered one of the worst disasters ever. America came together then, partly because the main media reported truth and encouraging news reports instead of gloom and doom and political finger pointing news that only divides us as a nation. There have been many good things Americans have done since the Chinese virus has hit our nation. Key biotech companies are making progress as hopes of a coronavirus vaccine grow. China claims to have discovered an...

S. observers have widely criticized China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) for its lackluster initial response to the 2019 coronavirus outbreak. After the deployment of hundreds of PLA medics and other support personnel into Wuhan and other cities, those critiques are now less tenable. PLA personnel have been on the front lines of the crisis for the past two months, reprising roles they have played during other emergencies, such as the 2002-2004 SARS crisis and the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, and providing relief to stressed local health systems.

ITALY may be fighting back in the battle against coronavirus as the nation's death toll slowed for the second day in a row, offering renewed hope. Data revealed a drop in the rate of deaths and new infections with the number of deaths in the world's worst-affected country rising by 602 on Monday, the smallest increase for four days. Italy's Civil Protection Agency showed 4,789 new cases on Monday, nearly 700 fewer than the day-to-day increase of 5,560 new cases reported from a day earlier. The number of deaths followed a similar trend with 602 virus-related deaths registered on Monday...

Actor Daniel Dae Kim, who has had rolls in Lost and Hawaii Five-0, made news last Thursday when he announced he had tested positive for the coronavirus. Kim made a point of taking issue with President Trump’s use of the phrase “Chinese virus” in his announcement: “Yes, I’m Asian. And yes, I have coronavirus. But I did not get it from China, I got it in America. In New York City,” Kim said in the Instagram video. “Despite what certain political leaders want to call it, I don’t consider the place where it’s from as important as the people...

Venezuela’s first and only state-owned communications satellite has been out of service since March 13 when a series of maneuvers left it tumbling in an unusable orbit. The VeneSat-1 satellite, built by China Great Wall Industry Corp and launched in late 2008 on a 15-year mission to provide television and broadband services to Venezuela, has been stuck for 10 days in an elliptical orbit above the geostationary arc, according to telescopic observations from two U.S. companies that track satellites.

Columbia, SC (WSPA) – South Carolina’s Governor has issued an Executive Order, cracking down on social gatherings, hoping to cut down on community transmission of the coronavirus. Governor Henry McMaster’s new order gives officers the discretion to make arrests and carries a misdemeanor charge for not abiding by the new order. “We see a lot of people going into the shopping centers and things like that and congregating in that opens up all kinds of opportunities for the spread of this virus.” South Carolina, Republican, Governor Henry McMaster said. The Governor’s order prohibits the gathering of 3 or more people,...

Either Beijing has begun to reconsider its attempts to blame the US for the coronavirus outbreak, its foreign ministry might have an internal war on its hands, or theyÂ’re getting nervous enough to try to play games. Its official spokesman Zhao Lijian continues to insist on Twitter and elsewhere that the US may have originated COVID-19, such as in this tweet from over the weekend: US CDC admitted some #COVID19 patients were misdiagnosed as flu during 2019 flu season. 34 million infected & 20000 died. If #COVID19 began last September, & US has been lack of testing ability, how...
