You’ve noticed it right? The Democratic leadership of 2020 will not tell you the truth about almost anything. They lie to everyone, at nearly every moment, about almost everything, all the time. They lie to their opponents, to the voters, and of course, they lie to each other. For instance, after clearly naming two associate Supreme Court justices, and pledging that they “would not know what hit” them, the highest-ranking Senate democrat claimed he never said what he in fact said. From the same event, a congresswoman with a straight face, said to reporters that “abortions are safer than the...

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - They’ve watched their parents and friends struggle to pay medical bills. They’ve spent time in Spain, Australia and other countries where people don’t have the same worry. They live at home instead of the college dorm to try to cut down on what they’ll owe in loans. They question whether to have kids in an environment where the effects of climate change are getting worse by the day. The young Bernie Sanders supporters who gathered for a Super Tuesday watch party in Michigan came with reasons both personal and ideological for wanting him to be president....

Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) complained Sunday on MSNBC that President Donald Trump was putting “his most ardent supporters at risk” by not canceling his upcoming political rallies in light of the current coronavirus outbreak. Speier said, “I don’t think the president is capable of telling us the truth about the coronavirus. And I regret saying that. I think we have to rely on the scientists who are attempting to tell the truth even when they have to contradict the president. ” She added, “The fact that he is not willing to cancel his various rallies suggests that he is willing...

That national figure includes 380 people diagnosed through the US public health system and 70 people repatriated to the US -- 46 from the Diamond Princess cruise ship, 21 on the Grand Princess cruise ship and three from China. Here are the...

California Senator Kamala Harris joined several of her former Democratic presidential candidate colleagues in officially endorsing Joe Biden for president Sunday, describing him as the figure to unify the party. **SNIP** "I just want to let you guys know that I have decided that I am with great enthusiasm going to endorse Joe Biden for president of the United States," Harris wrote in a statement released on her website and social media Sunday morning. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden continued to struggle campaigning in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, further drawing criticisms from those who believe that his fitness for office is an issue. Biden stated while using a teleprompter [emphasis added]: You want a nominee that will bring this party together, who will run a progressive, positive campaign, and turn this primary from a campaign that’s about negative attacks into one about what we’re for because we cannot re-elect, we cannot win this re-election, excuse me, we can only re-elect Donald Trump if, in fact, we get engaged in this circular firing squad...

Civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson has endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) for president, the campaign announced Sunday. "A people far behind cannot catch up choosing the most moderate path," Jackson said in a statement. "The most progressive social and economic path gives us the best chance to catch up and Senator Bernie Sanders represents the most progressive path. That's why I choose to endorse him today." Jackson said Vice President Joe Biden's campaign had not reached out or asked for his endorsement. Jackson said the Vermont progressive answered the concerns of the black community in his support of voting...

It is in no way to disparage the child-rearing efforts of my beloved parents to note that the greatest gift they ever got me was obtained two years before I was even born. In the summer of 1968, my parents—both in their 20s, both with secure jobs, both beneficiaries of “free” health care, both graduates of top-flight Communist literacy programs—packed one bag each, left the small apartment they shared with relatives in Budapest, and boarded a train headed for Rome. They wouldn’t return to visit Hungary until 1990, by which time they were fully Americanized. The summer my mom and...

Amorth said he asked for the help of Jesus, and the young man began to curse and spit, using English instead of his native Italian. “His curses and threats were aimed solely at the exorcist; then he began spitting at him and preparing to attack him physically,” writes Marcello Stanzione in “The Devil is Afraid Of Me: The Life and Work of the World’s Most Famous Exorcist” (Sophia Institute Press), out now. “Screaming and howling, the demon burst forth and looked straight at him, drooling saliva from the young man’s mouth.” Amorth said he returned fire with prayers and other...

Is it 6:00 AM? 5:00 AM? or 7:00? Who knows or even cares any more. We’re all going to die from the Wuhan virus, the world economy is going to collapse and China is going to end up with all the marbles and take over the world (h/t Chicken Little-Come-Lately Tucker Carlson – just added him to my must-not-watch-ever list along with pretty much everyone else on Fox News). So observing the correct time is pretty low on my priority list today.Love it or hate it the semi-annual ritual of time switching in order to “save daylight” is an anachronism...

Judge Reggie Walton, the former presiding judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, who was played in the case of Lewis Libby by prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald. Among other things, Fitzgerald misled Judith Miller, a key prosecution witness, into giving false testimony against Libby. Walton appears to have been played again, this time by Jason Leopold of Buzzfeed. Jason Leopold, a reporter for Buzzfeed, which published the unverified and unverifiable slander of the President in the Steele Dossier, brought a Freedom of Information Act suit demanding to see the still-redacted portions of the Mueller report, the implication being there was some...

An associate professor and researcher at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville has been arrested for allegedly concealing ties to a Chinese university while receiving federal funding, according to a recent Justice Department press release. As you know, coronavirus is front and center. Yesterday for the first time I had a guy refuse to shake my hand after a speech, citing coronavirus fears. I was taken aback. You mean people can't touch anymore? I was scheduled to do a presentation at Google headquarters in April; that event was canceled yesterday, again citing fears of assembly due to the coronavirus. Isn't it amazing what society chooses to panic about? We don't panic about 50,000 people being killed by drunk drivers. We don't panic about parents still feeding their kids Lucky Charms and Cheerios even in the...

“On August 19 of last year I listened in stunned silence as Nikole Hannah-Jones, a reporter for the New York Times, repeated an idea that I had vigorously argued against,” reads the first sentence of Friday’s essay by Leslie Harris, a history professor at Northwestern University. Harris is just the latest in a string of academics to levy criticism on Hannah-Jones and the 1619 Project. She is the first, however, who actually took part in the project as a fact-checker. During the publication process for 1619, Harris “vigorously disputed” the idea that the American Revolution was actually about preserving slavery....
