It is a propensity of human nature to be much more interested in the bad news than the good. Hence news media seemed to almost delight in the shock of Australia 'burning'. There were many phenomenal pictures, hysterical headlines and apocalyptic analyses. In recent days, though, there has been some welcome good news and yet, to a large extent, this is buried away in mid-page columns, if reported at all. I guess 'Australia being blessed by rain', is not as dramatic as 'Australia burning in hell'. Many fires are still ongoing but there have been some remarkable stories and pictures of...

The Virginia Department of Health is investigating three possible cases of the novel coronavirus. The three patients, two in central Virginia and one in Northern Virginia, meet the clinical and epidemiologic criteria for the virus that's prompted China to put millions under quarantine, the Virginia Department of Health said Sunday. The health department has not released more specific information about where the patients live, work or have traveled.

According to the ADSB transponder data he was following the 101 Fwy to Thousand Oaks. Then suddenly turned and dropped rapidly. Last data point shows he was dropping at 4,000 FPM which is pretty extreme...

It may be difficult to believe in this enlightened age but there was a time not so long ago when the National Review was the intellectual heart of America's conservative movement. Its writers were sharp, gifted and irreverent. Their appearances on Fox News and other TV outlets made them rock stars. All that ended on January 22, 2016, when the magazine posted online its "Against Trump" issue. Once again, the editors proudly chose to stand athwart history rather than make it. They chose to lose with what they consider honor rather than win. 22 writers signed on, each penning...

Democrats are really gonna do this, huh?I’m imagining Barack Obama looking at these new polling numbers and contemplating his legacy: A wipeout of Democrats in federal and state races by 2016, the election of a Republican president whom O himself allegedly describes as a “fascist,” and the increasing likelihood that his own party will choose an out-and-out socialist as its next nominee. In time, the Obama/Romney contest of 2012 may come to be seen as the last non-“European” election America had for many years. The well-respected NYT/Siena poll finds that everything’s coming up Bernie in Iowa:Elizabeth Warren’s loss is...

"I pray that . . . you may know . . . what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints" (Eph. 1:18). How you perceive your spiritual resources dictates how you live. Throughout Ephesians 1 Paul is clearly struck with the magnificence of our inheritance in Christ. Here he prays that we will know the riches of its glory. Some commentators see "His inheritance" as a reference to believers, who are God's inheritance or special possession (v. 14). That view stresses the value God places on us as believers, as demonstrated in Christ's death, the...

NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California on Saturday morning. While covering the tragic story, MSNBC reporter Allison Morris appears to have used the word n***** in reference to the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team which Kobe played on for 20 years. Wow! A big enough story to bump the Impeachment trial off the front page.

West Jordan • Three-term Republican state legislator Kim Coleman officially announced Saturday morning that she’s running for the 4th Congressional District, hoping to unseat Ben McAdams — who is currently the only Utah Democrat in Congress. In announcing her campaign, Coleman came out critical of McAdams’ vote to impeach President Donald Trump and aligned herself as someone who is a full-fledged Trump supporter. Those who came to her West Jordan campaign headquarters on Saturday morning were greeted with a full-size cardboard cutout of Trump posing with two thumbs up, donning a cap that read “Kim cares.” *** Coleman accused Democrats...

Newly-installed San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin has dropped charges against a man whom police officers shot several times last month after he allegedly struck one of them with a glass vodka bottle, ran away, then attacked again. Rank-and-file officers are reportedly furious, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Boudin, as Breitbart News and others have reported, is the son of two activists in the Weather Underground, which the FBI calls a domestic terrorist organization, who were getaway drivers in a 1981 armored car heist that led to the deaths of two police officers and a guard, the UK Guardian...

While presenting the Democrats' case for impeachment on the Senate floor, lead impeachment manager Adam Schiff (D-CA) kept referencing 17 witnesses who testified during the House impeachment inquiry. But there were 18 of them. Schiff and the Democrats are refusing to release the testimony of Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson, and according to Republicans who were present during Atkinson's closed-door testimony, the reason the transcript hasn't been released is because it proves both the whistleblower and House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff did not tell the truth about their contact with each other. Fox News' Maria Bartiromo interviewed Rep. John...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sure has an odd way of campaigning for Bernie Sanders. She doesn’t mention his name. Last October, Bernie scored the coveted AOC endorsement. What could be better than a young socialist with a huge following to endorse an old socialist who captured the imagination of the socialist wing of the Democrat Party in 2016? AOC, after all, volunteered for the Sanders campaign back then. She has a history with him. Last November he announced that she will fill-in for him on the campaign trail while he is doing his day job in the Senate during the impeachment...

...I have long maintained – and the film 1917 brought it vividly back to mind – that one of the causes of the collapse of religion in Europe, and increasingly in the West generally, was the moral disaster of the First World War, which was essentially a crisis of Christian identity. Something broke in the Christian culture, and we’ve never recovered from it. ...For five awful years, an orgy of violence broke out among baptised people – English, French, Canadian, American, Russian and Belgian Christians slaughtering German, Austrian, Hungarian and Bulgarian Christians. And this butchery took place on a scale...

After watching the Republican defense on Saturday to the Schiff and Nadler show, it's obvious they, and their democratic accomplices, have engaged in activity that is both illegal, and in contempt of Congress. If any lawyer had engaged in this same activity, they would be guilty of fabricating evidence and prosecutorial misconduct at the very least. They could also be held criminally and civilly liable. Not to mention, their actions, along with those of their accomplices, are in violation of federal RICO laws. They have also violated the civil rights of many victims in this farce. I urge all of...

Virginia Democrats are not just at war with the Bill of Rights; they are at war with traditional Christian values as well. They moved legislation through the state senate earlier this week that advances the LGBT agenda. One bill will allow transgender people to be issued new birth certificates that are not based on the sex of their birth. Even if they have not surgically altered their sex, they will still be able to get the new birth certificate. “I just think it’s important to try to make life easier for people without being discriminated (against) or bullied,” said Sen....

It is time for Constitutionally law-abiding people to get armed and start carrying. A well-armed, law-abiding citizenry keeps crime at bay much better than a demoralized police force who grows tired of making arrests only to see the perps be released without bail and without a judge’s ability to remand them to being held based on danger to the community or the criminal's flight risk. Most armed citizens that use their gun for protection never even fire the weapon. The mere brandishing of it before the evildoer is usually enough to incentivize the criminal to stop his activity and to...

A fifth U.S. case of coronavirus was confirmed on Sunday in Maricopa County, Arizona, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The patient is reportedly a student at Arizona State University, but does not live in university housing, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). The Maricopa County Department of Public Health and ADHS said they are currently investigating “to identify any close contacts that may have been exposed while the person was infectious,” adding that “Any individuals who have been identified as having been exposed will be contacted directly. These individuals will be monitored for fever...

Former Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Tom Homan said Sunday that U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made “dangerous” and “idiotic” statements regarding ICE and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at a campaign rally for 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders in Iowa. “She's disgusting,” Homan said on “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Sunday morning, reacting to Ocasio-Cortez’s comments the night before. On Saturday, with Sanders, I-Vt., tied up in Washington at President Trump's Senate impeachment trial, Ocasio-Cortez addressed his supporters in Ames, Iowa, calling for the abolition of ICE and CBP. The New York Democrat also urged Sanders'...

But remember: anyone who says that the immigration issue involves national security is a racist, bigoted “Islamophobe.” “Three al-Qaeda terrorists caught trying to enter US with Colombian passports,” by Steve Balestrieri, SOFREP, January 24, 2020: Three members of the al-Qaeda terrorist group were stopped and apprehended trying to fly into Dallas while using passports from Colombia. The three entered Colombia via Venezuela. The three al-Qaeda members who are from Syria, entered Colombia in La Guajira, in northeast Colombia. The three men were able to obtain actual passports as they had documentation experts located in the country. The RCN channel was...
