West Jordan Three-term Republican state legislator Kim Coleman officially announced Saturday morning that shes running for the 4th Congressional District, hoping to unseat Ben McAdams who is currently the only Utah Democrat in Congress.
In announcing her campaign, Coleman came out critical of McAdams vote to impeach President Donald Trump and aligned herself as someone who is a full-fledged Trump supporter. Those who came to her West Jordan campaign headquarters on Saturday morning were greeted with a full-size cardboard cutout of Trump posing with two thumbs up, donning a cap that read Kim cares.

Coleman accused Democrats and McAdams of voting to impeach Trump in a near party-line vote because their party cant win against him when he runs for reelection next November.

While Utah is a Republican-dominated state, it isnt entirely Trump territory and hes more unpopular in the 4th District than in any other district in the Beehive State. The president garnered less than half the states vote in 2016 and in the 4th District, Trump earned less than 40%.
McAdams won the congressional seat in 2018 by the barest of margins less than 700 votes and is considered a top target by the national Republican party. ***
She is the mother of five children, and said that it was their futures that motivated her to run for Congress.

Coleman has the endorsement of the House Freedom Fund.
The primary election is June 30.
Utah should get busy on a replacement for puke Ronmey. Maybe this lady could do it when the time comes.
Does Utah have recall statute for Senators
Federal officeholders — i.e. senators and congressmen — cannot be recalled. This has been litigated in federal court (Frank Church, Idaho, 1967) and state court (Robert Menendez, New Jersey, 2013).
OK thanks, that figures it explains why Mitt thumbs his nose at the people who elected him. Either he isnt going for another term or he thinks they will forget. Being the arrogant punk he is I bet its the latter.
That’s a good question. I just looked and this is what I found:
Political recalls
The state of Utah currently does not have any recall provisions.
Mitt’s not going anywhere. The leadership of the Mormon church controls politics in Utah. He serves at their pleasure, and will be discarded only when or if they choose to do so.
The only time they lost control is when Mike Lee rode the tea party wave and unseated Bob Bennett, Jr., who inherited the seat from his old man.
Sad to say you’re right.
5 more years. I cant see him running at 77, but who knows.
First they gotta get rid of this POS rat Congressman McAdams that the weak RINO Mia Love lost to. Crowded primary. As I recall the state convention will narrow it down to 2 candidates. We need one that can compete in the Salt Lake County portion of the district. Kim Coleman’s district is West Jordan, Salt Lake County.
If i lived in the district...https://www.burgess4utah.com/
would get my vote.
Good luck. You are very knowledgeable of the situation.
Yes, who knows what the corrupt will do.
Hmm .. who is running now? I need to see the issues ..sound like she’s good ..
