VIDEO Beto O'Rourke held a "counter-rally" about 15 miles away from President Donald Trump's REAL rally in Dallas. Of course, Beto again descended into his usual flailing armed demagoguery but what is notable is how the little girl in pink behind him stole his thunder by acting completely bored by what he had to say. Good for you, little girl!

Things are more fluid than they seem. That’s my impression of Washington right now. There’s something quiet going on, a mood shift. Impeachment of course will happen. The House will support whatever charges are ultimately introduced because most Democrats think the president is not fully sane and at least somewhat criminal. Also they’re Democrats and he’s a Republican. The charges will involve some level of foreign-policy malfeasance. The ultimate outcome depends on the Senate. It takes 67 votes to convict. Republicans control the Senate 53-47, and it is unlikely 20 of them will agree to remove a president of their...

NBC foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell and the rest of the liberal media idealize Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). The latest example of their admiration involved their promotion of photo of the Speaker taken as she stormed out of a contentious meeting with President Trump on Wednesday. During Thursday’s NBC Nightly News, Mitchell gleefully shared the picture with viewers as she gushed about Pelosi. Anchor Lester Holt began by touting the image himself. “It was during a contentious White House meeting about the Syria conflict that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stood up in front of President Trump. The photo instantly becoming...

New Pew Religion Research: Rising ‘Nones’, Collapsing Middle, Growing Polarization Pew Research Center has just released a new survey:“In U.S., Decline of Christianity Continues at Rapid Pace.” It looks bad. Over the past decade, the number of people who identify as Christians has dropped from 77% to 65%. The “nones,” those who claim no religious affiliation, have increased from 12% to 17% in that time. What’s really declining here, though? What’s continuing to drop, in particular? Pew’s been talking about the “rise of the nones” since at least 2009 — but is Christianity going away? No. Just nominal Christianity.Research in 2015...

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Friday defended acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney amid backlash over his remarks suggesting that Ukraine aid was connected to the president’s call for the country to launch a probe into Democrats. McCarthy noted during a press conference that Mulvaney sought to walk back his remarks later in the day on Thursday, arguing the White House official "clarified his statement" and that he "takes Mick Mulvaney at his word for his clarification." “I think Mick was very clear in cleaning up the statement, that there was no quid pro quo. Everybody...

MIT has developed a new way to speed up the planning involved in a robot grasping an object, making it “significantly” faster — reducing the total time from as much as 10 or more minutes to less than a second. That’s many orders of magnitude better, bringing it closer to the realm of human reaction and response time. This could have big practical benefits to settings where robotics are already in use, including industrial environments. The research team’s method involves having the robot push the object against a surface that doesn’t move, which allows it to shortcut a bunch of...

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congress slammed President Trump for not doing more about the situation in Syria. They said the situation over there is really bad but quickly clarified that it wasn't bad enough for them to use their constitutional powers to declare war. The House condemned Trump's withdrawal from Syria, lamenting the fact that there was nothing they could do under the Constitution to send more troops over, like declare war or something. Republicans and Democrats crossed the aisle in the Senate to slam the withdrawal, saying the grim, tragic situation over there was "devastating" but "not quite devastating enough for us...

Law enforcement officials who have previously been critical of gun control measures now have harsh words for Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke after he proposed police go home-to-home in order to confiscate AR-15s from American citizens. O'Rourke was pressed on MSNBC after the fourth Democratic debate on what would be done if someone is not willing to sell their AR-15 to the government, as he suggested. "Yeah, I think just as in any law that is not followed or flagrantly abused, there have to be consequences or else there is no respect for the law," O'Rourke replied. "So you know,...

Mexican authorities briefly detained the son of jailed drug kingpin Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán — and then released the younger Guzmán back to one of the world’s most powerful drug cartels after gunmen took to the streets. The events Thursday were a remarkable display of the state’s inability to take on organized crime. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador explained Friday that El Chapo’s son, Ovidio Guzmán, was released “to protect the lives of the people” after the cartel deployed across Culiacan, the capital of Sinaloa state, and neighboring towns, taking over key highways. Residents took videos of the chaos in...

Hillary Clinton appeared to suggest that Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) is the “favorite of the Russians” to win the 2020 presidential election and is being groomed by Moscow to run as a third-party candidate against the eventual Democratic nominee. In an interview on the podcast “Campaign HQ,” Clinton warned that the Russian government was poised to once again meddle in the U.S. presidential election through online disinformation efforts and by encouraging a third-party challenger to stir chaos in the contest. Indeed, the Russians already have their “eye on somebody who’s currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to...

ENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola woman accused of forcing her husband to sign divorce papers at gunpoint was arrested Friday. Millanie Sherbrook, 45, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill. An Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report says Sherbrook and her husband were arguing over divorce on Oct. 11. When the man refused to sign the papers and stated he would rather handle it in court, deputies said Sherbrook grabbed a Smith and Wesson .38-caliber handgun, pointed it at her husband, followed him and told him to sign the papers. The man...

FULL TITLE: Planned Parenthood Abortionist Forced to Admit Under Oath That She Said “I Want a Lamborghini” in Relation to “Compensation” for Aborted Babies’ Body Parts A Planned Parenthood abortionist was just forced to admit under oath in our trial that she did in fact say, “I want a Lamborghini,” in relation to “what I would receive in compensation” for “fetal tissue” procurement – i.e. aborted babies’ body parts. We recently told you how, despite their legal efforts to keep certain evidence out of court, Planned Parenthood’s own legal team has opened the door, and disturbing evidence continues to mount....

Bear Hunting can be Controversial, but this Sportsman Loves it - The thing they really can't comprehend is my infatuation with bears and the fact that I like hunting them. It hasn’t always been that way, but over the 20-plus years I’ve been here it has become so – even more this year – and it’s not only me. My best bud Lew has the fever as well. We just absolutely love it! Yeah, it’s crazy and there’s really no simple reason why. I’ve tried to explain it, but can’t. Not really. I guess the passion came from a combination...

Secrecy has always been a pretty effective incubator for corruption, and House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff's sneaky, secretive "hearings" on impeaching the president, literally held in a dank Capitol basement outside public scrutiny, are producing it in abundance. Schiff's secrecy act thus far not only shuts out the public, but excludes relevant opposition members of Congress from so much as listening to this Schiff show. Congressmen from the "wrong" party, such as Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona, an interested party with a right to be there as a member of the House Judiciary Committee if anyone does, have just...

Hillary Clinton said that Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is being groomed by Moscow to run as a third-party spoiler candidate in 2020 to help President Trump win reelection. The former secretary of state pushed the theory on the Campaign HQ podcast hosted by David Plouffe, President Barack Obama’s campaign manager in 2008. Plouffe and Clinton discussed hurdles the Democratic nominee would face and compared the 2020 race to Clinton’s loss to Trump in 2016. Plouffe asked Clinton about the part third-party candidates, such as Jill Stein of the Green Party, played in 2016, allowing Trump to secure key states. "They are...

Republican House Intelligence Committee members sent a letter to committee leader Schiff on Friday asking for clarity regarding the justification for running the impeachment inquiry in the IC even though there is no clear underlying intelligence component. Members also expressed concern that normal oversight duties are being overlooked in favor of partisan activities.

President Trump won’t budge: He refuses to comply with demands for information because the House has not formally voted to conduct an impeachment inquiry. House Democrats won’t budge: Speaker Nancy Pelosi says nothing requires the House to vote for an impeachment inquiry before conducting one. So who is right? They both are. We are an over-lawyered society that likes to see itself as governed by the rule of law. In truth, our fundamental law, the Constitution, is about the division of political authority — particularly between the Congress and the executive, the federal government’s political branches. The ultimate check on...
