Summer is ending, school is starting back and former First Lady Michelle Obama is reflecting on the value of her own education — and what it means that tens of millions of girls around the world still aren’t getting one. To mark the International Day of Charity on Thursday, Obama, 55, shared a sweet throwback photo on Instagram from her own early school days — complete with bangs and a toothy grin — and encouraged her followers to do the same. But she also urged them to go further: “It’s so easy for us to take our education for granted,...

The Most Radical Tool Against Global Warming Abortion is a global issue. A survey of The World’s Abortion Laws shows significant disagreement about it.A few countries, like Egypt, prohibit it. Others, like Brazil, allow it only when the mother’s life is in danger. In the United States, laws vary from state to state. But the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision makes it difficult to restrict it significantly.Advocates for abortion frequently argue for a woman’s right to choose. But some now, like Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, promote it to curtail global warming. How would abortion do that? The argument is that...

[Catholic Caucus] Viganò Speaks: the “Infiltration” Is Real Jonah began his journey through the city, and when he had gone only a single day’s walk announcing, “Forty days more and Nineveh shall be overthrown,” the people of Nineveh believed God; they proclaimed a fast and all of them, great and small, put on sackcloth. When the news reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. (Jonah 3:4-6)A year after his bombshell testimony on the cover-up for Theodore McCarrick, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò remains a prophet in exile,...

WASHINGTON — Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez plans on Tuesday to announce her endorsement of Marie Newman, a progressive candidate seeking to oust Representative Daniel Lipinski, a conservative-leaning Illinois Democrat, marking her first move of the 2020 campaign cycle to back a primary challenger to an incumbent. Ms. Ocasio-Cortez’s high-profile support amounts to a powerful seal of approval, telegraphed to her legions of ardent liberal fans, on behalf of Ms. Newman, and a reflection of the zeal of the party’s progressive left to leverage its nascent power to continue targeting sitting Democrats. Aaron Carter's arsenal isn't going to be taken from him ... at least not yet, but that could change if authorities decide he's mentally unfit to own firearms. Carter has been erratic lately ... friends and family have been so worried they've called police to do welfare checks. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... until a court, board, commission, judge or other lawful authority determines Aaron suffers from a mental illness or condition that causes him to be a danger to himself or others, he can keep his guns. If this were to happen, we're told Carter would possibly be...
