SNIP He slammed a mistake Bolton made early in his tenure at the White House when he discussed a "Libyan model" in the context of North Korea — which that country took as a sign that its leadership could meet the fate of former Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi. SNIP “So, John is somebody that I actually got along with very well. He made some very big mistakes,” Trump said a day after his abrupt ousting of Bolton. He said the "Libyan model" remark had set back talks with North Korea and was “not a good statement to make.” “And it...

Three top aides to former national security adviser John Bolton submitted their resignations on Wednesday a day after Bolton and President Donald Trump parted ways. Garrett Marquis, Bolton’s top spokesman, Sarah Tinsley, his communications director, and scheduler Christine Samuelian all resigned in what a source called an amicable fashion. “It was an honor to serve my country, and I wish the president and the administration success moving forward,” Marquis said in a brief statement. The trio of aides has worked for Bolton for years. SNIP

Once more, families gathered at ground zero, where nearly 3,000 people died on that bright September morning. Once more, there was an outpouring of grief. Once more, there was the sound of a bell tolling in mourning. And there was the rhythm of names being recited. Eighteen years have passed since terrorists commandeered airplanes and the twin towers of the World Trade Center were brought down. The commemoration at ground zero — by now an annual rite of remembrance that follows a familiar, somber script — began with an honor guard carrying the flag. SNIP

‘Thanks! Hopefully we are being successful, and the reporters are having difficulty finding anybody to comment about things’ – Rod Rosenstein (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released 14 pages of records from the Department of Justice showing officials’ efforts in responding to media inquiries centering on talks within the DOJ/FBI allegedly invoking the 25th Amendment to “remove” President Donald Trump from office and former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein offering to wear a “wire” to record his conversations with the president. The US Defense Department said Tuesday that it would keep up to 5,500 troops deployed at the Mexican border for the coming year to help combat illegal immigration. A week after announcing it would divert $3.6 billion in funds for the construction of an anti-migrant wall on the frontier, the Pentagon said it had also approved a request from the Department of Homeland Security to maintain a troop presence as well. The Defense Department "will provide up to 5,500 personnel to provide infrastructure support; operational support; detection and monitoring support; and air support," said Pentagon spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Chris Mitchell....

Like all accounts of GodÂ’s faithfulness, mine begins with a genealogy. In the late seventeenth century, my motherÂ’s Congregationalist ancestors journeyed to the New World to escape what they saw as EnglandÂ’s deadly compromise with Romanism. Centuries later, ÂAmerican Presbyterians converted my fatherÂ’s great-Âgrandmother from Coptic ÂOrthodoxy to ÂProtestantism. Her son became a Presbyterian minister in the Evangelical Coptic Church. By the time my parents were Âliving in Âtwenty-first-century Illinois, their familiesÂ’ historic Reformed commitments had been replaced by non-denominational, ÂBaptistic Âevangelicalism. This form of Christianity dominated my Midwestern hometown. My parents taught me to love God, revere the Scriptures,...

The Trump administration is preparing to ban flavored e-cigarettes as federal health officials call for restrictions to combat an outbreak of a mysterious lung disease that has sickened hundreds and killed at least six people, U.S. health secretary Alex Azar told reporters Wednesday. The Food and Drug Administration is finalizing its guidance to remove e-cigarette flavors other than tobacco from the market because children are attracted to other flavors, Azar said, following a meeting at the Oval Office with President Donald Trump. It could take the FDA several weeks to develop the guidelines, he said. The administration will also take...

The California Attorney General’s Office asked for a court gag order Tuesday that could prevent the public from learning the truth about David Daleiden’s shocking undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood. Daleiden and Sandra Merritt face 15 felony charges for invasion of privacy in California after they exposed Planned Parenthood’s allegedly illegal sales of aborted baby body parts. Their preliminary hearing began last week with a witness for the abortion industry admitting that the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) videos were “not altered.” Then, a biotech company CEO who worked with Planned Parenthood admitted that they harvested aborted babies’ hearts while...

Despite of what the left-wing media wants you to believe, there is not an epidemic of mass shootings, or an epidemic of gun violence in general, in the United States. The data make this clear. In fact -- and again, in spite of what many in the media would have us believe -- by many accounts, mass shootings are not even on the rise. Definitions of what constitutes a “mass shooting” vary, but using “standard definitions,” a recent piece in The Conversation -- an academic and research journal -- declares that “Mass shootings aren’t growing more common.” In support of...

People ask "Where was God on 911?" He was where He always is. Up on His throne in heaven observing everything and intervening where He knew it was needed. He was causing a small accident that jammed cars up going to work at the WTC. He was delaying trains. He was causing a blister from a man's new shoes so he would have to stop and get a Bandaid and be late from work at the WTC. He was making a small child sleepy and slow to prepare for school, making his mother late for work at the WTC. He...

The Bronx, NY – An ambulance and a fire unit were dispatched to Dr. Emily’s Women’s Health Center, an abortion facility in the Bronx, New York, on Saturday, August 17, 2019. Beijing announced the exemption plan in May and invited interested parties to apply to have certain products added to the list. A second round of applications started last week. The commission said it “will continue to conduct the work of tariff exemption on US goods and will announce follow-up waiver lists at appropriate times”. The statement came as top trade negotiators from China and the United States prepare to meet in Washington next month in their latest attempt to resolve their trade war. Working level preparations for the meeting are currently under way. China is expected to agree to buy...

Just when we thought colleges could not spout loonier ideas, we have a new one from American University. They hired a professor to teach other professors to grade students based on their "labor" rather than their writing ability. The professor that American University hired to teach that nonsense is Asao B. Inoue, who is a professor at the University of Washington in Tacoma in interdisciplinary arts and sciences. He is also the director of the university's writing center. Inoue believes that a person's writing ability should not be assessed, in order to promote "anti-racist" objectives. Inoue taught American University's faculty...

It's strange to know young adults now, who have no personal recollection of the 9/11 attacks. Even stranger still to know people who lived that day and seem to have "moved on", without interest to look back and reflect. Damning, triggering cartoon. To not remember; and to not remember those no longer with us. What is aggravating are those growing number of Americans (and non-Americans) giving in to conspiracy theories. I see it in every comment stream on news sites that bring up 9/11. Building 7. Jet fuel. Inside job. Controlled demolitions. 28 redacted pages. So many nutjobs living amongst...
