In what can only be construed as the "literally, no one” meme brought to life, next month San Francisco is getting a pop-up called the Rat Bar where “rats run free and the booze flows like water.” The project comes from the folks behind the San Francisco Dungeon at Fisherman’s Wharf, a haunted house-like venture specializing in theatrical recreations of historical events. The pop-up is slated to run from June 13 to 15 at 145 Jefferson St. In 2017, this same group brought a similarly styled rodent spot to the city called the Black Rat Cafe.

A lone swimmer in the Gulf of Mexico was circled by a shark without her knowing, according to a frightening video. Stan Battles reportedly took the video Wednesday morning from his balcony on the 28th floor of a resort at Panama City Beach, Fla., according to the Panama City News Herald. The outlet reported Battles had been watching the shark for a couple of hours in murkier waters until it swam into a clearer area, which is when the woman swam by. It has been just over a month since the Supreme Court heard oral argument in a challenge to the decision by Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross to include a question about citizenship on the 2020 census. Edward Seaga, a former Jamaican prime minister who shaped the island's post-independence politics and cultural life, died Tuesday at 89. Seaga's death was announced on Twitter by Prime Minister Andrew Holness. Seaga, Jamaica's prime minister from 1980 until 1989, was the only remaining member of the generation of leaders who drafted the constitution when the Caribbean island gained independence from Britain in 1962. An international team of scientists is getting closer to perfecting molecule-sized motors that drill through the surface of cancer cells, killing them in an instant.
