Did James Comey just reveal more than he meant to? A recent town hall–style meeting with CNN's Anderson Cooper, taking questions from college students, had Comey telling the youngster it was "totally normal" for the FBI to spy on presidential campaigns. According to a report in the Daily Caller, Comey responded to a student inquiring about the validity of sending investigative agents to then-candidate Donald Trump's campaign this way: Yeah, I'm not going to comment on a particular investigative step, because that's for the bureau to do, and I'm not in the government any longer, but the FBI doesn't spy...

President Trump on Wednesday mocked Hillary Clinton for saying the 2016 election was "stolen" from her, rather than acknowledge her failure to campaign in the Midwestern state of Wisconsin. The president adopted a vacuous facial expression to mimic Clinton. "Hillary Clinton is still going up, 'Ahhh, I think they stole the election,'"Trump said at a campaign rally in Panama City, Fla. "But no, she lost. She lost," he said. "The next time she's gotta go to Wisconsin to campaign." Trump paused to allow the crowd to chant "lock her up!" before complimenting the relative savvy of former President Bill Clinton,...

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke said climate change is a reason so many Central American migrants arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border. "These storms, these floods, the historic wildfires that we saw in California, the droughts through which our farmers in Texas attempt to persist to grow the food and the fiber that feeds and clothes not just this country but the world, are going to be exponentially worse going forward," O'Rourke, a former Texas congressman who represented El Paso, said at a campaign stop Thursday in Salem, N.H. “There were 400,000 apprehensions at our border with Mexico last year. As...

House Judiciary Committee Republican Jim Jordan charged at an explosive hearing on Wednesday that Democrats were out to "destroy" Attorney General William Barr as a way to derail the Justice Department's ongoing review of alleged misconduct by the intelligence community. Jordan, R-Ohio, asserted that Barr was legally required to withhold portions of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian meddling in U.S. politics that concerned grand jury information. Democrats, Jordan said, effectively put Barr in an unwinnable position: He could either release the full Mueller report in violation of the law and federal procedure, or keep the redactions and face...

RUSH: Now, again, despite everything we think we know, there’s still some things that have surfaced that we don’t know. And, again, the FBI is really insistent — and even Comey last night in his town hall on CNN, they are insistent, they are standing firm, they’re holding firm on the idea that their investigation of Trump-Russia collusion began with Papadopoulos. Even though this has been exposed and nuked every which way from Sunday, they’re standing by it. They are claiming this whole thing began when George Papadopoulos told the Australian ambassador, Alexander Downer, that the Russians had a bunch...

As summer approaches and school comes to a close, many college graduates (if they aren't already) will be hunting for jobs. And they'll want to put their college degree to good use. According to data collected by LinkedIn, some of the top college majors that lead to the most "different kinds of jobs" include business administration and management, marketing and psychology, among others. It's not a bad time to search for career opportunities, either. In April, U.S. employers added 263,000 jobs — the 119th month of straight gains — and unemployment fell to 3.6 percent, the lowest rate since 1969....

Martin said U.S. officials started noticing more "heated rhetoric" from Tehran in April, when the U.S. declared the Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization, but it escalated after the Trump administration said it intended to bring Iranian oil exports down to zero by ending waivers that allowed a few countries to keep buying their petroleum products. Officials told Martin that U.S. intelligence began picking up "chatter" about Iranian-backed Shiite Muslim militias in Iraq attacking Americans in the country, where there are still about 5,200 U.S. troops deployed. On Friday, the U.S. Maritime Administration issued a fresh warning to commercial shipping companies,...

“‘When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full’” (Matthew 6:5). Over the centuries, various questionable practices and attitudes have affected the prayer life of God’s people—ritualization, prescription prayers, limitations of time and place, the love of long prayers, and meaningless repetitions. But the worst fault was when God’s people prayed mainly to be noticed by others, especially by fellow Jews. This fault was...

SEATTLE - A federal judge says police in Tukwila acted unconstitutionally when they arrested an illegal immigrant and turned him over to immigration authorities for deportation. Wilson Rodriguez Macareno, who is originally from Honduras, called police early last year about someone trespassing in his yard. The officers instead arrested him based on indications he was in the country illegally and brought him to a detention center for deportation. U.S. District Judge Richard Jones ruled Wednesday that the local police did not have the authority to arrest him for a civil, federal violation. He said a trial will be held to...

RUSH: Do you realize it may well be the Democrat primary race is over? In New Hampshire, Joe Biden is blowing out Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders was up 30 points nationally, he was up 25 or 30 points in New Hampshire, the last poll, and Biden has just launched over Bernie Sanders. This may not be bad, by the way. Don’t misunderstand. When I say “us,” meaning the Trumpster, may not be a bad thing. A bunch of mad Bernie voters might end up voting for Trump before the end of the day, but nevertheless — and Trump’s even tweeting:...

The Democratic party's inevitable infighting has begun, with progressives, moderates, and Bernie supporters all trading blows. Today's esteemed presenter from NowThis argues that concepts like "electability" are toxic and must be replaced- and while she claims to be defending "women of color," she conspicuously avoids talking about one woman of color's very controversial political campaign.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is slamming Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), the GOP chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, for contradicting direct orders from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on the Russia investigation and issuing a subpoena of Donald Trump, Jr., despite McConnell’s statement that the case is closed. Apparently the Republican chair of the Senate Intel Committee didn’t get the memo from the Majority Leader that this case was closed... Burr, as Breitbart News and other outlets reported late Wednesday, has issued a subpoena of Trump, Jr., which the president’s eldest son is electing to rebuff despite Trump, Jr.’s history...

Gosh, why do you think Mueller, who has been all too happy to do the bidding of the Democrat Party in its never-ending efforts to remove President Donald Trump from office for two solid years now might be reluctant to come offer testimony before Jabba’s...

For all the panicked young people out there, climate alarmists say they feel your pain.A conciliatory CNN report this week touches on the issue of so-called “climate anxiety,” which apparently is becoming widespread. The first paragraph of the report introduces a Willamette University student who “woke at 2 a.m. and then cried for two solid hours about the warming ocean.” That student’s climate professor, Wendy Petersen Boring, asserts, “Back in 2007, [climate change] was the mouse in the room; then, it became the elephant in the room. By 2016, those concerns and fears began to flood over.” The report goes...

Veep Pence announced yesterday that the Trump admin is looking to put a stop to one of the #resistance crowd’s favorite tools: using a district court to shut down a national policy. The #resistance seeks out an injunction against a disfavored policy by forum shopping for a liberal activist judge to intervene and immediately the entire nation is subject to the whims of a regional court. Clever. “The Supreme Court of the United States must clarify that district judges can decide no more than the cases before them — and it’s imperative that we restore the historic tradition that district...
