A chummy discussion between Vice President Mike Pence and former vice president Dick Cheney quickly turned into a vigorous back-and-forth over President Donald Trump's foreign policy at a private gathering on Saturday, with Cheney comparing the president's instincts to those of his Democratic predecessor Barack Obama, according to a transcript obtained by The Washington Post. At the closed-door retreat hosted by the American Enterprise Institute on March 9 in Sea Island, Georgia, Cheney respectfully but repeatedly and firmly pressed Pence on a number of the president's foreign policy moves - over which Cheney expressed concerns - from taking a harder...

COTTAGE GROVE, Minn. (FOX 9) - Ahead of former first lady Michelle Obama’s book tour stop in St. Paul this week, one fan is going all out ahead of her visit. At Sheletta Brundidge’s Cottage Grove home, Obama’s influence is hard to miss. “I got the Michelle Obama shoes, the Michelle Obama shirt, the Michelle Obama jacket, I got purses, I got hats, I got all that,” said Brundidge. “But my friends in Houston called to taunt me because they commissioned a mural on the side of a building there.” Refusing to be outdone, Brundidge spent three days calling...

Jan. 3, 2013 -- Sometimes she just tells him about her day. Other times, Ruthie W. rubs her pregnant belly and tells her future son that she can’t wait to meet him (which should be any day now). And a new study shows that he not only hears his mom, but may understand her and is already learning language from her. “I talk to him all the time, even when I am in stores shopping for a layette and other things we will need once he is born,” says the New York City-based cosmetic executive. “People probably think I am...

Most people are aware that “Onward Together” is a political organization to raise funds for the Democratic party, but what they don’t realize, is the fact that this tax-exempt 501(c)(4) is operating ILLEGALLY, on multiple levels. IRS laws, FEC documents, and Onward Together’s tax return create one heck of a recipe, burning for an investigation. Not only does Onward Together require scrutiny, it’s partner organizations need a closer look as well. Perhaps “Back Together” would have been more apropos, since Hillary Clinton got the band back together to form this tax-exempt political scandal. Even Huma Abedin is on the payroll....

Iwrote a book, The Case for Trump, in an effort — as an outsider who has no career investment in Trump and has never met him or visited the Trump White House — to analyze how and why Donald J. Trump was elected president and why his agenda so far has been successful. One Gabriel Schoenfeld has just published a hysterical attack on that effort in the Bill Kristol–Charles Sykes new Bulwark, and it is emblematic of that venue’s promised Never Trump ad hominem assault on individual supporters of the president. A writer for The Atlantic recently interviewed Sykes, noting:...

Former Vice President Joe Biden will run for president in 2020, a senior Democratic lawmaker told The Hill on Tuesday, a move that will shake up the crowded Democratic primary field and make him the clear front-runner for his party’s nomination against President Trump. “I’m giving it a shot,” Biden said matter-of-factly during a phone call with a House Democratic lawmaker within the past week — a conversation the congressman recounted to The Hill and interpreted as a sure sign that Biden will run in 2020. In the brief phone call, the former vice president asked if he could bounce...

Johnthony Walker, 26, was indicted by a Davidson County grand jury on eight counts of aggravated statutory rape and one count of exploitation of a minor, according to WSMV-TV. ..." In March 2018, Walker was found guilty after the bus he was driving on Nov. 21, 2016, carrying 37 kids from Woodmore Elementary School, crashed on a winding road. The Afternoon Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Some mid-day short takes on the passing scene… Everyone should watch this video. – Trust me, just watch it. It’ll be the best 23 minutes you invest this week. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez isn’t a politician, she’s an actress. A puppet whose strings are being pulled behind the scenes by a group that calls itself the Justice Democrats, and is headed by the depraved Cenk Uygur. This is all stuff I was not aware of, and of course our fake news media will never dream of reporting on any of it, so most...

"Empire” actor Jussie Smollett has appeared in Cook County court Tuesday morning for a hearing on whether cameras will be allowed in the courtroom on the criminal charges he faces. Media organizations want video and still cameras to record court proceedings on the charges alleging Smollett staged a phony attack on himself and told police he was the victim of a hate crime. Last week a grand jury indicted Smollett on 16 counts of disorderly conduct. The 36-year-old actor, who is free on $100,000 bond, has vehemently denied lying to police or faking the attack. Smollett is due back at...

About 12:38, the controller informed the pilots that they would be past the area of weather in about 18 miles, that they could expect a turn to the north for a base leg to the approach to runway 26L, and that weather was clear west of the precipitation area. The pilots responded, “sounds good” and “ok.” At this time, radar and ADS-B returns indicated the airplane levelled briefly at 6,200 ft and then began a slight climb to 6,300 ft. Also, about this time, the FDR data indicated that some small vertical accelerations consistent with the airplane entering turbulence. Shortly...

A 17-year-old is facing two felony charges for spiking his stepfather’s energy drinks with cattle sedatives, court documents reveal. KTRK-TV reported Tyler Rabenhorst-Malone of Lima, Wisc., has been charged with placing foreign objects in edibles and second-degree recklessly endangering safety. Officials say in January 2018 the teen’s stepdad went to the hospital with a droopy face, heavy breathing and slurred speech. After being examined, doctors concluded his symptoms had been brought on from a mix of energy drinks, lack of sleep and stress. However, when it happened again three months later, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office said the stepfather began...

When Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., announced her presidential run, she did so underscored by Dolly Parton’s working-class anthem “9 to 5.” The song seemed to sum up the spirit of a candidacy built on giving workers a fairer shake. The only problem is that the artist didn’t give her permission to use the hit. Parton’s manager, Danny Nozell, revealed that not only did Warren use the song without permission, but that the singer doesn't ever allow her songs to be involved with any political campaigns. “We did not approve the request, and we do not approve requests like this of...

The Hawaii Senate is considering a resolution calling for a repeal of the 2nd Amendment right to bear arms. The heavily Democrat-dominated body (there is only one Republican and 24 Democrats) will most likely pass the resolution. Resolution co-sponsor Roz Baker (D-Maui) says “the era when individuals had to have firearms to hunt for food or ward off criminals is long past. In 1789, help could not be easily summoned and once summoned could take hours or more to respond. Today, police can be summoned in seconds and arrive within minutes. There is no longer a need for individual ownership...

Former Attorney General Eric Holder has suggested to his fellow Democrats that one way to put their stamp on American history, especially in light of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's and President Trump's agenda, is to expand the Supreme Court. He made the farfetched proposal last week at Yale Law School and Columbia University. "Given the Merrick Garland situation, the question of legitimacy is one that I think we should actually talk about," Holder said. "We should be talking even about expanding the number of people who serve on the Supreme Court, if there is a Democratic President and a...
