Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and former technology executive Carly Fiorina will not appear on the primetime debate stage when the Republican Party's 2016 presidential class faces off later this week in South Carolina. Debate host Fox Business Network announced the debate lineup Monday evening, dealing a blow to both candidates three weeks before Iowas leadoff presidential caucuses. Just seven candidates — the smallest Republican group so far — will be featured in Thursdays 9 p.m. ET main event, based on criteria established by the network that relied on recent polls. Real estate mogul Donald Trump, the leader in most recent...

The House on Monday passed legislation that would create the most sweeping reforms to federal open records laws in nearly a decade. Approved by voice vote, the measure would limit exemptions under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that now allow federal agencies to hold back information. The bill would also create a single online portal for people to make FOIA requests and require agencies to publicly post frequently requested records online. The legislation has been years in the making, following persistent complaints about the FOIA process from journalists, the public and members of Congress. "We regularly use the Freedom...

:: Cruz's Dilemma- By: Larry Walker, II -The concept of natural born Citizenship is clear and concise, to anyone with a rational mind. Although some may wish to contort its meaning to fit the presidential candidate of their choice, natural law is incapable of such bias. It takes two parents to produce a child, one male and one female, but you would never know it if your source of information is the lamestream media. By its logic, only one parent is sufficient.Epigrammatically speaking, if both of your parents were U.S. Citizens at the time of your birth, you are without...

Please pray for the very sick handmaiden of God, Maxine. She is the wife of my oldest friend from the Army. We were stationed together in Weisbaden back in the 80's. My oldest daughter would crawl up the stairwell to her door to see her at 1 year old. Maxine had a heart attack last Friday and my friend told me today they will take her off the ventilator today. Maxine is a dedicated wife and mother.

An investigation into possible mishandling of classified information on Hillary Clinton's private email server has expanded to consider whether Clinton's work as Secretary overlapped with her work for the Clinton Foundation run by her family. Fox News' Catherine Herridge published the report, citing unnamed FBI sources, Monday morning. The report indicates the initial security referral looking into whether or not classified information was mishandled has expanded to look at possible public corruption involving the Clinton Foundation.

Everyone has seen Making a Murderer on Netflix. Which goes to show just how much time we’re spending on Netflix, doesn’t it? A lot of time. If you haven’t seen Making a Murderer, spoiler alert: you get screwed, manipulated, plus you spent ten hours watching this show. Ten hours of you’re life you’ll never get back. I’m collecting names for a class action lawsuit (just kidding… ish). VIDEO AT LINK Yes, there was a lot of crap that happened in the trial. Yes, the documentary shone a light on the corruption which sometimes happens in the justice department. However, Steven...

  • Media Chatter: House Speaker Paul Ryan Is The Establishment’s Next Challenger to Face Trump

House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan may become the GOP establishment's 2016 candidate who can snatch the nomination or the leadership of the GOP away from pro-American populist Donald Trump, according to D.C. media chatter. But the move - if it happens - may be too late. Any fight between the increasingly popular Trump and the decreasingly popular Ryan would mark a last-ditch effort by the GOP's establishment-business-wing to deny any political power to its conservative voters, likely splitting the party just before the elections that will decide which party gets to control the White House and the U.S. Senate. It...

So what happened to the non-seasonally adjusted (NSA) job count in December at similar points late in the course of prior cycles? Well, in December 1999 about 140,000 jobs were added and in December 2007 there was a NSA gain of 212,000. This time we got the magnificent sum of 11,000, and by the way, last year was only 6,000. The real news flash in the December “jobs” report, therefore, is that even by the lights of the BLS’ rickety, archaic and virtually worthless establishment survey, the domestic economy is dead in the water. We are not on the verge...
  • Swedish Police, Accused of Cover-Up, Look Into Reports of Sexual Assault at Festival

The police in Sweden, responding to accusations of a cover-up, said on Monday that they were investigating why the public had not been informed about sexual assault by men reported to be migrants at a festival in Stockholm last summer. In echoes of the scandal in Cologne, Germany, where the police are investigating scores of assaults, often involving asylum seekers, on New Year’s Eve, the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter reported over the weekend that a gang of migrant youths had groped young girls at a festival in August.

Jeb Bush is low in the polls but is experiencing something new: growing crowds. The former Florida governor drew his largest crowd in recent memory when he hosted a town hall in Hilton Head, South Carolina, Saturday night, with 530 people in attendance, according to the fire marshal. Bush typically draws between 100 and 200 people at his town halls so staffers had to search for extra seats. It was the fourth night in a row that Bush aides had to find more seats for a larger-than-expected crowd during a packed swing through New Hampshire and South Carolina -- two...

CLEAR LAKE, Iowa-Nathan Hanson and Rich Lewerke are perhaps the most discussed, most invisible and most important people in Iowa politics: Long-time Iowans who have never attended a caucus before but say they will do so for the first time on Feb. 1 to vote for Donald Trump. "It's almost like Republicans don't want Trump, even though a lot of the American people do," added Lewerke, 52, a building contractor. "So I do think it's very important to caucus this time." "Never caucused before," said Bob, a former Mitchell County supervisor. "Haven't, but we're going to," added Donna. I asked...

These strike me as the most plausible optimistic and pessimistic scenarios for the top three candidates: Ted Cruz Upside Scenario: A Commanding Position by February 20 Cruz wins Iowa going away. This isn't hard to imagine; in fact, I'd guess today that he wins by 8-10 points there. With some momentum into New Hampshire, Cruz finishes second there, behind Trump. For good measure, Rubio is beaten by, say, Chris Christie, and finishes fourth. The "establishment lane" fails to produce a strong, viable contender and Cruz goes mano a mano with Trump in South Carolina and gets enough mainstream Republican support...

A couple weeks ago, I posted about a case in Kansas in which a couple was wrongly raided by a police tactical team. Robert and Addie Harte and their two children were held in their home by armed officers for over two hours as the officers searched the house for marijuana. They found no drugs. After spending $25,000 to get a judge to order the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department to turn over documents related to the search and investigation leading up to it, the Hartes discovered that Robert Harte, along with hundreds of other people, became a suspect when Missouri...

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz suggested Monday that the only reason the GOP has chosen South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley to deliver the party's official response to President Obama's State of the Union address is because of her race. "It's pretty clear that Nikki Haley is being chosen because the Republican Party has a diversity problem," the Florida Democrat said on a conference call previewing the speech, Politico reported. "Haley's failed record gives her no credibility whatsoever," she said. "In fact it exemplifies exactly why the last thing we need is a Republican to make the same mistakes...

Donald Trump returned to his roots Wednesday morning, suggesting that Ted Cruz‘s birth in Canada could pose a problem for Republicans if they selected the Texas Senator to be their candidate. MSNBC host Joe Scarborough began by bringing up attacks on Cruz’s eligibility and Trump’s history of questioning Barack Obama‘s birth certificate. “This is something obviously you talked about before with Barack Obama, it’s something that I suspect we’re going to be hearing more about in the next couple weeks. Is there any validity to those claims?” “Honestly I hope it’s not the case,” Trump began. “I hope that’s not...
