A team of British archaeologists has solved the mystery of how the famous statues dotting the landscape of Easter Island acquired their distinctive red hats. Last year during the month of Ramadan all members of the Tower Hamlets Council in East London were forced to follow the strict Islamic rules of Ramadan during their meetings. This year the cowardly Mayor of London wants to take it up a notch and is suggesting that all non-Muslims there fast for Ramadan in an effort to learn about Islam. Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) has circulated his own health reform plan, apparently tired of waiting for the rest of the "Group of Six" to come around. SAN DIEGO — San Diego Chargers star outside linebacker Shawne Merriman was arrested Sunday and accused of choking and restraining his girlfriend, reality TV star Tila Tequila, as she tried to leave his suburban home.
