For decades, Americans have preferred to run up huge deficits by borrowing from foreigners rather than living within their means by collecting enough taxes to cover their government's expenditures. Any attempts to raise taxes are greeted with derision by voters who have no idea how low their taxes are compared with the rest of the world. Like others living outside the United States, I'm very unsympathetic to this whining and deficit-riddled form of governance. I have a bit of a speech improvement, I suppose, due to years in Texas. Yesterday, while discussing the current affairs with some co-workers, they got confused as to what I was referring to: "Dims, what are Dims ... " Who would have thunk! It is obvious the Dems are not too bright with the BS they are trying to ram down our throats! "Dims" is fitting!

First my spiffy dictionary.com spanish word of the day email sent me the jewel, broma (spanish for joke). That was very easily changed to Obroma (o'joke) even my Obama supporting hispanic friends thought it was very clever.Now, they bring us the word for fear.... miedo. After eight straight days of being up, the three indices took a negative turn for the last two days, and they are signaling down this morning. The latest Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll shows President Obama falling to his lowest approval ever, with 53% now disapproving of his performance as President, and only 45% now approving. This is the "total surveyed" number, not just those who "strongly approve" or strongly disapprove." That index is at -11, with 30% "strongly approving" and 41% "strongly disapproving": Overall, 45% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 30% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. My problem is with the distribution of my taxes to people who do not have to pass a urine test.
