The latest Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll shows President Obama falling to his lowest approval ever, with 53% now disapproving of his performance as President, and only 45% now approving. This is the "total surveyed" number, not just those who "strongly approve" or strongly disapprove." That index is at -11, with 30% "strongly approving" and 41% "strongly disapproving":

Once its in the thirties, an improvement rating of +1% will be treated in the media like a surge.
Where were these people who “disapprove” last November? What is it they are seeing now that they did not see then? Better late than never, but they had better be voting out the likes of Reid and Pelosi come next November.

closing in on a tie between strongly disapproval and overall approval rate. Only a 4% difference today. Amazing. Take out the black support, which likely is still sitting at 90%, and it probably about even.

The downward spiral continues. Of course, it is all because of those vicious right wing attacks. It has nothing to do with Obama’s radical agenda (eliminating the war on terror, massive government spending, socialization of major sectors of our economy, coddling terrorists, hostility towards Israel, appointing radical advisors, demonizing doctors and citizens). No, let’s not consider how grossly the Obama administration has overplayed their hand. Let’s blame everything on talk radio and Sarah Palin.

They had warm-fuzzy feelings about all this hopey and changey stuff. Of course, Obama wisely did not tell them exactly what the hopey and changey stuff was. That allows the voter to assume Obama wants the same hopey and changey stuff they do. But now they are finding out otherwise.

That may be reflective of the loony-left base PO’d at 0bama for hinting he might blow off some of the more communistic aspects of HR 3200 in order to get it passed.
As for the Ras poll, the fact the “strongly disapproves” at 41% are approaching his “overall approves” at 45% have got to be keeping him up at night. He’s probably a 3-pack-a-day smoker now.

The “close look” at Obama by the American people and the subsequent meltdown of his “superstar” status that I had hoped for at about this time last year is finally taking place.
