Irresponsible Monetary Policy Monetary policy will create a stable currency or cause money to lose value. Without sound, responsible money supply controls in place, an oversupply of dollars issued in paper or digital entries causes the same result—currency devaluation. Elected representatives have the responsibility of making certain that dollar values remain constant, through oversight and monitoring of Federal Reserve monetary policy. Dollars printed or issued only when there is “value” behind the currency assures dollar price stability, as measured against competitive foreign currencies and the costs of goods and services. Responsible borrowing occurs only when a debt repayment plan has...

You may not care for Matt Taiibi but I think his article is well worth reading in it he points out how Government (Goldman) Sachs wants Cap and Trade. I think it is important to know who your enemies are. In the article which is now available on line he adds one more bubble to the list: the "global warming bubble," or specifically, the proposed cap-and-trade legislation that would allow companies to trade pollution credits on an open market. Taibbi's argument suggests the Wall Street bank may well want to turn climate change policy into yet another Wall Street casino...

Grand Jury Recommends: Indict Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama Posted By: RumorMail Date: Friday, 3-Jul-2009 14:33:26 Who says our voices have not been heard! The fifth amendment of the US Constitution states: "No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on the presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury". So who or what is a Grand Jury? Most Americans, including most Judges, most prosecutors and most lawyers think a Grand Jury is a function of the government, at the whim of the government, under the control and direction of the government. However, this...

Biden Warns Iraq Leaders Of Return to Ethnic Fights By SHERYL GAY STOLBERG Published: July 3, 2009 BAGHDAD — Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. told Iraqi leaders on Friday that he and President Obama were committed to helping them resolve their political differences, but he warned that the United States would be unlikely to remain engaged in Iraq if the country reverted to sectarian violence, American officials said. Mr. Biden spent the day in closed-door meetings to assess Iraq’s political and security situation as part of his new role as an unofficial envoy for the Obama administration. He emerged...

Sarah Palin can be the Republican nominee in 2012. I am not saying she will be, but she can be... 1. DUMP ALASKA. She doesn’t need to run for reelection for governor in 2010 for name recognition or to get media attention. And being a governor these days is like having a target on your back... Maybe you can see Russia from Alaska, but you can’t see Iowa and New Hampshire from Alaska. Alaska is too far away from where she needs to be. She can live, skimobile and hunt moose in Alaska, but she needs to spend a lot...

I, like millions of American citizens, am having a hard time understanding the new America. We preferred the old one, where immigrants were expected to learn English and the roots of high expectations were taught in our public schools. Sometime after John Boy Walton said "Goodnight Grandma" and news media's infatuation with celebrity whores, our dynamic purpose as a sovereign nation changed. The United States is truly a 21st century paradigm. Our growth is built on consumption, not production; a society founded not on natural resources but upon the dissipation of capital accumulated elsewhere; a place of infinite possibilities, held...

North Korea 'tests two missiles' North Korea has tested two short-range missiles, South Korean media report, as concern mounts in the region that a long-range test could be days away. It test-fired other similar missiles earlier this week and has incurred fresh UN sanctions since holding a second underground nuclear test in May. The latest missiles were fired from a base near Wonsan into the Sea of Japan, South Korea's defence ministry said. They are believed to be Scuds with a range of 500km (312 miles). A South Korean defence official said Saturday's tests were of greater concern than Thursday's,...

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star, who learnt shooting at the age of six in Kentucky where he grew up, wants to pass on his experience to his kids. Wanna be forced to go to an Al-Qaeda-linked dentist, where Islam is first, dentistry is, at most, second, and your teeth could be harmed as a result? Here's a little slice of Great Britain's version of ObamaCare. I guess it's redundant to say that Dr. Butt is a real ass. But the Muslim dentist--whose brother was the spokesman of an Al-Qaeda splinter group--has a last name that definitely fits. Omer Butt, 32, whose brother Hassan used to be spokesman for the banned radical Muslim group Al Muhajiroun, ordered female patients to wear headscarves and forced men to take off gold...

That is my favorite line from David Kahane’s new piece over at NRO. Mostly because it’s the kind of non-sequiturish afterthought that I append in my speech all the time…a kind of verbal tic where one of the LPIMH hijacks the conversation for 10 seconds and throws everybody off the scent. I judge whether a person can keep up with me by whether or not he can follow my train of thought as it leaves the track every now and then. David Kahane is like that a lot when he writes, which is just one reason I like him. Go...

SEAN HANNITY, HOST: Now, each fiscal quarter, the FOX Nation will donate a portion of its merchandise proceeds to a different charity. Now, this quarter, the FOX Nation will be contributing to the Special Operations Warrior Fund. Now, the charity was chosen after hearing the story of Keith Zeier, a U.S. Marine who was severely wounded in Iraq by an IED explosion in July of 2006. Now, Keith's left leg was shattered so badly in that attack that he was told by doctors that he would not be able to walk again without the help of a cane, but Keith,...

The Rainbow Gathering and the U.S. Forest Service continue to trade charges over the festival that is expected to draw 10,000 people to a Northern New Mexico forest by Independence Day. More than 200 people so far have had to travel 240 miles round-trip from the site in the Santa Fe National Forest near Cuba, N.M., to Albuquerque to see U.S. Chief Magistrate Lorenzo Garcia ... Forest Service spokeswoman Denise Ottaviano said only six of the arrests have been for felonies — assault on a federal officer, theft of government property, damage to government property and conspiracy. Seized drugs, she...

I used to like watching the news. Then, Michael Jackson died and cable news became all Michael Jackson all the time. It appeared the endless tributes, speculation, and life long retrospectives were finally coming to an end. I could finally count on news regarding politics and economics again. Then, today, we had the shocking announcement that Sarah Palin would not only not run for a second term, but that she would resign.

Here is video of GOP Strategist Ed Rollins giving his assessment of Gov. Sarah Palin's decision to resign as Governor of Alaska. Rollins calls the timing of her resignation announcement "suspicious," referring to it coming on a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend, and because she is not finishing out her term. He does not believe this is any way to start a campaign for President. (Watch Video)

I was walking home a few weeks ago when two young men, one with a knife in his hand, blocked the sidewalk and demanded my wallet and camera. I’m accustomed to having a means of defense other than my fist and an umbrella at hand. I’ve been in Washington, D.C. for three months and had almost gotten used to not having a weapon handy. At home in Arizona, I regularly, and legally, carry a concealed pistol and reluctantly left my guns at home and trusted on instincts and awareness to stay out of trouble. There are many opinions as to...

The U.S. Embassy in Tokyo has seen its share of luminaries in the ambassador's suite. Former Vice President Walter Mondale, former Senate Majority Leaders Mike Mansfield and Howard Baker and former House Speaker Tom Foley are among those who have brokered relations with a complex and critical ally in a region bristling with military and trade tensions.
