In light of contemporary political and social and religious conditions in the United States, I want to look at Psalm 2. Psalm 2 is not only a Messianic Psalm, but also a prophetic warning to the Gentile nations to serve the LORD Jesus Christ in the Church Age. The context is the Gentiles nations, not Israel. Psalm 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. 1. “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh:…”

When 21-year-old Rigoberto was working on construction sites in the US, he could earn up to $400 a week. Now that he is back home in Mexico, working as a farmhand, he makes just $65. And that is why there are estimated to be between eight and 12 million Mexicans in the US. It is also why the US economic crisis spells disaster for its southern neighbour. I met Rigoberto in a pretty little town in central Mexico called Jungapeo. I also met Martin, who has three sons working in the US. But times are hard for them too -...

U.S. President Barack Obama's policies have left an Israeli attack on Iran the only option in preventing the Muslim country from obtaining a nuclear weapon, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton wrote in The Washington Post Thursday. In an article headlined "Time for an Israeli Strike?" Bolton answered his own question by stating, "Israel decision of whether to use military force against Tehran's nuclear weapons program is more urgent than ever ... Those who oppose Iran acquiring nuclear weapons are left in the near term with only the option of targeted military force against its weapons facilities."

The new jobs report is set to be released this morning and given the expected 300-400,000 additional jobs lost in the month of June alone, Republican leaders thought they’d get a bloodhound to help them track down all of these stimulus jobs the President keeps telling us he saved or created. The President gave his mission accomplished-style announcement yesterday saying the stimulus had done its job. The only thing missing was a banner that said “Economy Stimulated” stretched across the Treasury Department as a backdrop. Given that the stimulus has done its job and the mission is accomplished, all of...

“Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?” asked the Joker in the first Batman movie, as he kills a young boy's parents. That young man grows up to be Batman. Every time I see Obama on television I half expect him to say that and leer into the camera. As an American taxpayer, with each passing day, I feel like I am dancing with the devil and that devil is Barack Hussein Obama. I do not understand why Americans are tolerating the systematic destruction of America by the liar in chief.

PARIS (Reuters) - The state of the wreckage from Air France flight AF 447 from Rio de Janeiro to Paris, which crashed on June 1 with 228 people on board, suggest the plane was not destroyed in mid-air, French investigators said on Thursday. Alain Bouillard, who leads the investigation on behalf of France's BEA air accident board, said the search for the flight recorders, or black boxes, from the Airbus A330 aircraft would continue until July 10.

Punditry is easy. Policy is hard. Okay, to be fair, writing articles and speeches that are powerful and persuasive is a demanding job. But crafting sound policy adds layers of complexity. Example: President Kennedy pledged that Americans will “pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” Very inspiring. But try translating that into policies toward Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Russia, China, Venezuela, and Burma. That’s tough. Policies can solve one problem and exacerbate others. An argument can be made for shutting down oil...

A new Quinnipiac poll finds that President Obama's approval rating remains stable at 57%, but his disapproval rating has shot up from 30% a month ago to 37% now, as more undecided voters shift into the disapproval category. From the pollster's analysis: "He still has a ways to go before his coalition becomes politically unstable, but there are some groups and issues - especially the economy - where he needs to make sure this trend does not continue."

Ancient Find Proves Christ's Words?Archaeologists have unearthed in Jordan what they believe to be the first Christian church in the world. Dating back almost 2,000 years to sometime between 33 AD to 70 AD, the church, which is actually a cave, was found underneath Saint Georgeous Church, which itself dates back to 230 AD, in Rihab in northern Jordan near the Syrian border. Agence France Presse and The Jordan Times report that the church is thought to have sheltered the world's earliest Christians from persecution and certain death. "We have evidence to believe this church sheltered the early Christians--the 70...

The Arabs know what they want, and that is the end of Israel. The Jews are divided as to what they want. The left wants to get the hell out of the West Bank. The center, including Kadima and Labour, want to keep the settlement blocks containing most of the settlers but are prepared to uproot as many as 70,000 Jews, perhaps even 100,000. The right does not want to allow a Palestinian state to emerge, even if demilitarized. All are united in requiring an end of conflict and the recognition of Israel as a Jewish state. Netanyahu is a...

Get into Agreement with God Today's Scripture "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:19-20, NKJ) Today's Word from Joel and Victoria There´s a spiritual principle in the Bible that tells us when two or more agree on something, that thing shall be established. There is great power in agreement. In another verse it says, "How can...

For many, bikini-clad women and fireworks stands are sure signs that summer is here. But some Puyallup citizens say the two don’t belong together. Taking a clue from the area’s proliferation of bikini espresso joints, a stand called Nearly Naked Fireworks opened June 28 on the corner of North Meridian Street and Fifth Avenue Northeast. Neighbors who live on the north end of downtown Puyallup are not happy. As of Wednesday afternoon, a total of 17 people had contacted Puyallup city officials to complain about the bikini fireworks stand. One resident, Annie Starwich Claeys, said the main issue is the...

The left continually holds up the Canadian socialized healthcare system as the best example, one we should strive to emulate. But as each week passes we find more and more reason to doubt the panacea in the Great White North. Last week news came out that Canada forced an infant to flee its country and into our own to get life saving treatment. A baby was born 13 weeks premature in Ontario, Canada but there were no neonatal intensive care beds open for the child there... Read the rest at Publiusforum.com...

The Conditions of Discipleship "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also . . . . And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me . . . . So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple" —Luke 14:26-27, 33 If the closest relationships of a disciple’s life conflict with the claims of Jesus Christ, then our Lord requires instant obedience to Himself. Discipleship means personal, passionate devotion to a Person— our...
