I was watching the MSNBC discussion on Bill Clinton hinting he was going to run for the Senate and wondered why the commentator did not explore the obvious subject of Bill's "penis envy" in the wake of the announcement that Hillary would run for the NY Senate. I think it is sad that the POTUS envies his "significant other" in this fashion. I'm willing to bet that if Hillary admited to an affair with a masochistic mexican midget, that bill would have to top that with the confession of his activities with Buddy. O' d Horror! Should we take up ...

A sample of unusual or significant laws going into effect this summer: Louisiana makes it law for children in kindergarten through fifth grade to address teachers with a courtesy title such as "sir" or "ma'am." New Hampshire becomes last state to grant Martin Luther King Jr. a permanent holiday and also allows homosexuals to adopt children. Washington outlaws lying by politicians in campaign ads. It also calls for creation of a registry of insurance claims that should be payable to Holocaust victims or their relatives. New Mexico comes up with an official state question: "Red or Green?" The query ...

Mom Pleads Guilty To Killing 8 Kids By JENNIFER BROWN Associated Press Writer PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A 70-year-old woman who admitted Monday to smothering eight of her young children decades ago will not go to jail so researchers can study her to learn more about why new mothers sometimes kill newborns. Marie Noe pleaded guilty to killing the children between 1949 and 1968 and was sentenced to 20 years' probation, the first five of which must be served under home confinement. Mrs. Noe also must undergo mental health treatment sessions with a psychiatrist to determine the cause of her repeated ...

For Fair use Pharmacologic Al Filed June 28, 1999 Presidential race 2000 has already spawned its first protests, with demonstrators following Vice President Al Gore from Tennessee to New Hampshire to New York to Philadelphia. There is no catchy character -- like 1992's ``Chicken George'' or 1996's ``Buttman'' -- but their issue provides an excellent object lesson about the rotten core of American politics: how our campaign finance system allows powerful special interests to secretly dictate policy -- even when the life or death of millions is at stake. The protesters are outraged that Gore, in his role as co-chair ...

For education and discussion only. Not for commercial use. In the wake of Chinese espionage scandal, Washington focuses on tighter security. But America's defense edge relies on foreign talent. The railyards and skyscrapers of Chicago are a long way from the high desert of New Mexico, but when it comes to science, the two are practically neighbors. At the University of Chicago, researchers are modeling thermonuclear explosions, as are their peers at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. At a time when the Los Alamos scientists may soon face lie-detector tests to protect against espionage, the research in Chicago is ...

PRELUDE In the years before the First World War The Hapsburg Empire of Austria-Hungary, once the prototype of military empires, was spending less on its military than any other European nation. In the year 1908, the Great Empire annexed Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Ottoman Empire. The origin of this annexation goes back to an 1876 secret accord between Austria-Hungary and Germany. Italy signed on in 1882. This alliance became known as the Triple Alliance, and was avowed as a defense pact. The fact is that the annexation of Bosnia was a violation of the Treaty of ...

Admission of cover-up said to be part of plea bargain with Starr’s prosecutors. Former Justice Department official Webster Hubbell has agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge that he attempted to cover up the role he and first lady Hillary Clinton played in a sham Arkansas land deal, legal sources told NBC News on Monday. The deal does not implicate Hillary Clinton in any wrongdoing. UNDER THE DEAL with independent prosecutor Kenneth Starr, Hubbell also will plead guilty to a misdemeanor arising from a tax fraud case in which he stands accused of failing to pay more than $850,000, ...

Bill Gertz's book, "Betrayal" about the Chinese espionage Clinton turned his back on for many reasons (ie, MICE, money, ideology, compromise and extortion) has been on the NY Times Best Seller list for weeks. It was #4 last week and #5 this week, yet the NY Times has yet to REVIEW Gertz's book. I wonder why. Could it be that the NY Times has learned to genuflect in Clinton's presense on BOTH knees ala Katie Couric?

President Bill Clinton does not plan to run for the U.S. Senate, the White House said on Monday, denying a report published in the New Yorker magazine. ``I talked to him this morning and he said he's not running for the Senate,'' White House spokesman Joe Lockhart said. The spokesman quoted Clinton as having told him: ``That story is crazy and I don't know where it came from.'' Speaking to reporters later, Lockhart issued an even stronger denial. ``He has no intention of running for the Senate, rules out the idea of running for the Senate,'' the spokesman said. ...

Copyright © 1999 Nando Media Copyright © 1999 Associated Press WASHINGTON June 28, 1999 4:46 p.m. EDT http://www.nandotimes.com) The scramble by states to gain more of a voice in picking presidential nominees is turning what used to be a grueling primary season marathon into what one analyst calls "a 50-yard dash." States have been edging primaries and caucuses earlier in recent elections, but California's decision this year to move to early March helped open the floodgates. "When California moved, that shook everybody up," said Bill Jones, California's secretary of state. California's primary was in June for many years; the state ...

I need your help to send a message to the political establishment insiders. We must stand together for family, leadership, and integrity as we enter the 21st century. When I was 29 years old, I took on a 16-year incumbent against all odds and won a seat in Congress. When I was 33, I took on a former presidential candidate and three-term Senator and won. How? I won with grassroots support from Americans of all walks of life. My campaigns have never relied on the Washington insiders. My campaigns have relied on thousands of hardworking Americans who were generous enough ...

(Population Research Institute) The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has a soft spot for totalitarian governments and Draconian population policies, to judge from this year's population award recipient. The National Committee for Population and Family Planning of Vietnam (NCPFP), the official Vietnamese governmental organization implementing a population policy made in China, has just been awarded the UNFPA's highest award. Billed as a mandatory one- or two-child policy, the Vietnamese family planning program dictates maximum number of children; minimum age of child-bearing; minimum years between children; mandatory contraceptive usage (preferably IUDs or sterilization), and prescribes punitive measures for compliance failures ...

Tonight on MSNBC's Internight, not one, but two of Washington's heavyweight conservative legal commentators are scheduled to grace the airways between 7:00 and 8:00 P.M. Mark Levin and Joe DiGenova, the Tag Team of Truth, will be cutting through the spin, lies and obfuscation sent up by Lanny Davis, Ed Koch, and who knows who else. Usually, of course, you need about 4 to 6 liberals to balance out either of these guys, so tonight we ought to see some serious body slamming on Bill and his myriad of minions.

Emboldened by the way a discussion on religion in schools was predictably unfolding on a recent episode of "Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher," the president of the American Civil Liberties Union proclaimed: "Faith has no place in the public schools." Nadine Strossen made her alacritous declaration against "faith" as she steadfastly defended, with the help of the host and majority of guests, the separation of church and state. Yet even within the context of the ACLU-approved secular government, it is impossible to properly instruct our children in the histories of literature, science, social studies and a host of other ...

Al Gore stopped in Pittsburgh today for a $1,000 a plate fund-raising luncheon. I greeted him warmly, welcoming him to my hometown with a few hand-painted signs: "CLINTON-GORE: THE MOST CORRUPT ADMINISTRATION IN HISTORY," "AL GORE: STILL SHOVELING MANURE," and "ANY BUDDHIST NUNS IN THERE, $ AL? $"I arrived at the Westin William Penn, the grande dame of Pittsburgh hotels, well before Mr. Dutch Elm's arrival. I was alone, as my husband had an important business meeting he couldn't miss. At 11 a.m., the cops put up the barricades, blocking off the street on one side of the hotel. Then ...

Combative Congressional Republicans are working out a tax plan that delivers tax breaks to investors and married couples, but which critics within their own party say backs off earlier promises of more tax relief. The $778 billion package taking shape in the House of Representatives would cut the capital gains tax rate on investment profits by as much as half, phase out estate taxes, and eliminate the so-called marriage penalty, which forces millions of married couples to pay higher taxes than when they were single. Republican leaders say the 10-year package would appeal to a wide range of voters and ...
