I held my breath eleven months to post this rubbish, and all I got was this lousy zot. (Arianna SUV)

Doug From Upland's siting Arianna Huggington and Al Gore exiting large vehicles at a conference on the environment in San Francisco has set the blogs afire. But there are legitimate uses for large vehicles. Really there are. The I just don't think one person driving the LA freeways in one because the want to win a collision contest at the expense of the unfortunate person they might collide with isn't one. Neither is having bigger, always spinning wheels than your neighbor. Neither is because you get a tax writeoff for a vehicle you use only for commuting and driving to the convenience store for ciggaretts and Cheesy Puffs.
The Sierra Club is an organization that uses large passenger vehicles wisely, it's the nation's number one outdoor activity organization - the Sierra Club. They use their large vehicles to take people hiking, rafting, etc. When they go afield fill the vehicles with people and gear rather efficiently, using much less gas than if they all drove individual vehicles in groups of 2 or 3. The Suburban they picked Arianna in may well have been the Sierra Club's designated airport vehicle - with features for handicapped (something the Sierra Club is known for) and perhaps airport parking sticker.
As for Gore driving an Escalade. Is that the Escalade that coverts from open-bed truck to enclosed bed (SUV?). And isnt Gore from an Agricultural state. In fact, if I recall hes a farm boy; probably lives on a working farm. Sorry city boy but low-ground clearance, two-wheel drive freeway flyers just get stuck in that Iowa mud down on the farm. Once again, if you nail Gore for driving an SUV, the BS you smell emanating as he exits his vehicle may be real and I for one am not about to tell farmers and ranchers, or people that have to drive on farm or ranch roads, they cant have a truck or other large, high wheelbase vehicle.
It's amazing the hunger for fresh liberal blood. But just like the Swiftboat Vets before him. By the time the undamming truth of DFU's charges comes out, the little weasel will have moved on to the next unsustinable smear campaign.

It's ok for Librocrites to waste Blood for Oil, just not anyone else. Typical Commie Inner Circle mentality. Does parking a Prius in your garage count as saving oil???

Why You Should Rent a Hybrid
EV Rental Cars opened its doors in December 1998 as the first and only rental company in the United States to rent environmental vehicles to the public. Their current fleet consists of more than 400 cars including electric, natural gas and hybrid-electric vehicles. Airport locations include Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Ontario, Palm Springs, Burbank, San Jose, Oakland, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, and Washington, DC. EV Rental Cars' mission is to provide the most technologically advanced environmental vehicles to the general public as soon as they are available, to raise the awareness of the benefits of driving clean-fuel cars, and create a market for clean car technology. The company has prevented more than 40 tons of air pollution. In addition to helping customers get where they need to go, EV Rental raises public awareness of the benefits of driving clean-fuel cars. You've heard about these cars of the future: now go for a test drive! Time Savings
- Drivers can travel in the carpool lane even if they are alone in California, Arizona, Virginia and Georgia.
- Most vehicles can be returned empty with no additional charge.
Money Savings
- Charging electric vehicles is FREE and the cost of compressed natural gas is less expensive than gasoline.
- Hybrid-electric vehicles are economical because they get more than 60 miles per gallon.

(in an attempt to defend Arianna, here is what David Zero put up on a blog)
The Sierra Club definitely should have sent a bicycle rikshaw to pick up Arianna and her luggage at the airport.
Really, there ARE legitimate uses of large capacity vehicles. And if there is any organization that uses them wisely, its the nations number one outdoor activity organization - the Sierra Club. They use their large vehicles to take people hiking, rafting, etc. They fill the vehicles with people and gear when they do it. The Suburban they picked Arianna in may well have been the Sierra Clubs designated airport vehicle - with features for handicapped (something the Sierra Club is known for) and airpor parking sticker. Its amazing the hunger for fresh liberal blood. You suck, neocon scum, but youll have to take your fangs elsewhere. The Sierra Club has their ass pretty well coveredon this one. But just like the Swiftboat Vets smear. By the time the undamming truth comes out, you wont be interested in hearing. Heck, someone thinks they just saw Sean Penn practicing archery somewhere so he has dashed his credibility as a pacifist.

Thanks for the laugh this evening!
The vision of Al Gore driving his "farm" in any sort of vehicle is just laughable beyond belief, but the thought of ANYONE tooling around the mud puddles on a farm in an Escalade is outrageously funny!!!

And, I suppose he drove to California from TN?

It's Citing. Just FYI.Actually, I can read troll - he meant to say "sighting", as in seeing. But it took me years to learn the dialect and I still have that stange eye tic that accompanies studying troll too long.
