Yes, I do have depression. At my current job in a shipping/receiving department, it can be physically intense. Loading and unloading heavy freight from a semi trailer is draining. I work for a company that manufactures gas station signs (the big outdoor kinds), and pushing a wooden crate containing a 500-lb. sign is exercise enough for me.

It goes without saying that I get quite a workout there. But relaxing exercise is a New Year's gift I intend to give myself.

I have a hard time taking care of ME because I have always watched out for others. Siblings, friends, kids, dogs, cats, fish, older adults, teens in trouble, birds...anyone who needs something.

So learning how to really take care of ME is not a concept I accept easily...it is alien for me. And it may be the root cause of my CFIDS.

But I still leave myself behind. It has not been fair to my kids. (Think about that.)

I hope you manage it! I felt good when I exercised just because it was good for me :-). Lugging the babies up and down the stairs just doesn't do it!
