Hey thanks. That is such great information.
I would think that at some point Bush would use some of this to dismiss the left's attack on this subject.
It was my understanding that nearly all sorties were Navy operations. I had no idea national guard units were involved, let alone some from his unit.
That's good to know. Nice response.

Can someone who has a capture card with closed caption post a transcript on this thread? Would be helpful for those who missed it.
To: Howlin
I am going to have to get new glasses. Every time I see his name, I think it reads Ben Raines and you William Johnstone fans will know the person I am talking about.

Your words of wisdom are soothing after a day of nonstop nonsense from the left...both media and the krazy Kerry kamp.

The radio made the point that Bush went into the Guard in 68......Barnes was not Lt. Gov until 1969. (digging up confirmation on that) Yes - it' absolutely true. Barnes took office as Lite Guv in 1969. Bush entered the guard in May of 1968. Barnes is a lying human cockroach.

God Bless you mass55th.
Our 9th Infantry unit worked with the 25th occasionally.
Darn good unit.
Word can't express my level of disgust at Kerry - his "service", medals and anti-war crap.
I hope the margin of victory by our President is 10+.

"That is the question, and it won't be spun well."
They might be memos written by his CO, but they contain nothing in them that hasn't already been found in his records. They can spin it all they want, and I hope they waste alot of money doing it. I doubt it will get any traction. The bottom line is Bush signed Form 180 to have all his records released. If he felt there was anything detrimental in them, he wouldn't have signed the form. On the other hand, Kerry refuses to sign form 180. What does that tell you?

We have two candidates for president: one who served in the National Guard and one who participated in a vote to determine whether they would assasinate seven United States senators. Only in bizarro world is the National Guard service the scandal.

That Frontpage Mag article is damaging to barnes. If 60 Minutes doesn't report some of barnes' background and current activities, then other media will. The sheeple will not be out of the know for too long...hopefully.

I wondered if it was just me or did Brit have to pull out of Goler that sitting president Bill Clinton had two debates, not three.

Another memo refers to a phone call from the lieutenant in which he and his commander "discussed options of how Bush can get out of coming to drill from now through November." And that due to other commitments "he may not have time." Wouldn't that be the discussion about Bush working on the campaign in Alabama and trying to figure out a way he could do it?

Rather lectured us in Texas when Pres Bush defeated Ma Richards and have refused to watch him since that election night in 1994. That said, I will be glad to watch him on November 2nd when Bush blows Kerry and his RAT Media including Rather out of the water. I want to see Rather lecture all of us in flyover country once again and for the last time as he is retiring which isn't soon enough for me!

God bless you as well and thank you for your service. I was doing some online searches for the operations that my brother had been on and I recall coming across the 9th on one of them, although at the moment I can't remember which one. I'm still trying to piece together the year he spent there. He never really talked about it.

Didn't Kerry try to get a deferment to study in France?Howlin reminds me that he received FOUR deferments and tried to get a fifth to study in France but was turned down. Yet when he points an accusative finger at Dick Cheney's deferment, NO ONE IN THE PRESS CALLS HIM ON IT.
