Barron Trump, the president’s very tall son, doesn’t spend a lot of time in the limelight, but it’s shining on him Wednesday as court testimony in London revealed that he helped a woman in desperate need and may have even saved her life by calling authorities on an abusive boyfriend who was beating her up.He reportedly was on a FaceTime call with the unnamed woman when he heard clear sounds that she was being attacked. The U.S. 8th Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily blocked an injunction Wednesday that prevented federal immigration officers from retaliating against demonstrators. A Friday ruling by U.S. District Judge Kate Menendez had prevented the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement from detaining or tear gassing people who are engaging in peaceful and unobstructive protest, including observing Operation Metro Surge, which is the feds’ name for the incursion of over 3,000 immigration officers and agents in the Twin Cities. The Wednesday decision granted Homeland Security its request for an administrative stay of Friday’s preliminary injunction. Ten of the...

Federal immigration officers are asserting sweeping power to forcibly enter people’s homes without a judge’s warrant, according to an internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement memo obtained by The Associated Press, marking a sharp reversal of longstanding guidance meant to respect constitutional limits on government searches. The memo authorizes ICE officers to use force to enter a residence based solely on a more narrow administrative warrant to arrest someone with a final order of removal, a move that advocates say collides with Fourth Amendment protections and upends years of advice given to immigrant communities. The memo, signed by the acting director...

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — An appeals court on Wednesday suspended a decision that restricts immigration officers' aggressive tactics in Minnesota, while Maine declined a request for more undercover license plates for U.S. Customs and Border Protection vehicles, citing “abuses of power” during the Trump administration's crackdown. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals was persuaded to freeze a judge's ruling that bars officers from using tear gas and other steps against peaceful protesters while the administration pursues an appeal. Operation Metro Surge, an immigration enforcement operation in Minnesota's Twin Cities, began in early December.

Lawmakers have taken the next step toward holding Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena to testify in the congressional Jeffrey Epstein investigation. The Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee voted to send the effort to the full House for a vote. House Speaker Mike Johnson, who supports holding the Clintons in contempt, has committed to having the chamber vote on the resolutions. Some Democrats joined with Republicans in voting to hold the former president in contempt. The vote to hold the former secretary of state in contempt was also bipartisan. But fewer Democrats...

In the face of surging antisemitism across New York state — fueled by incessant illegal demonstrations in support of terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah — Attorney General Letitia James jumped into the fray to prosecute … Jews. James’ office announced last week that she’s concluded an agreement with Betar — a small and obscure Zionist group that advocates for Jewish safety and self-determination — forcing it to cease operations in New York. The AG says Betar engaged in a “campaign of violence, harassment, and intimidation against Arab, Muslim, and Jewish New Yorkers.” Among the group’s activities were counter-protesting at...

A friend of Barron Trump told a UK court he saved her life when he dialed police after seeing her being attacked by her ex-boyfriend on a FaceTime call. The woman reached out to Trump in the midst of a violent dust-up with her former beau Matvei Rumianstev, 22, who allegedly started battering her because he was jealous of her friendship with the president’s son, Metro UK reports. Trump, who was in the US at the time, quickly called for help, telling emergency operators, “I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up.”

Donald Trump has barred Gavin Newsom from the USA House in Davos after the California governor mocked his 'boring' Greenland speech. Newsom's press office claimed that he was denied entry to the US clubhouse following pressure from the White House on Wednesday It came after furious war of words after Newsom rushed out of Trump's keynote speech to tell reporters that the president's speech was 'remarkably insignificant.' The White House later mocked Newsom on X, writing that the governor had been sidelined to 'the corner cuck chair', a reference to a genre of pornography where a cuckold sits and watches...

Donald Trump's youngest son Barron saved the life of a woman in London by phoning the police when he witnessed her being beaten up over a videocall, a court heard. Barron Trump spoke directly with police call handlers after calling 999 when he heard what he thought was Russian national Matvei Rumiantsev repeatedly punching his friend in his London flat. Rumiantsev, 22, was jealous of Mr Trump’s relationship with the woman and flew into a rage when the American tried to phone her earlier that evening, prosecutors said. He then answered a videocall from the President’s son to the woman’s...

The Maine State Police (MSP) were part of a massive enforcement action Wednesday against Yezi Craft Cannabis, a.k.a. Yezi USA, LLC, on Norridgewock Road in Fairfield, a Chinese-controlled cannabis company with a checkered history and multiple disciplinary actions. Although the details of Wednesday’s enforcement actions at 201 Norridgewock Road are still filtering in, the locations history and ties to Chinese organized crime are apparent from public records from the Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP). Yezi Craft Cannabis and its related companies are a prime example of how Maine’s labyrinthine cannabis rules are no match for sophisticated criminal groups from out...

Far-left agitator Nekima Levy Armstrong, who was one of the organisers of the storming of a Minnesota church to protest ICE on Sunday, raked in over $1 million during six years leading a Minneapolis civil rights nonprofit that addresses anti-poverty issues. Armstrong, whose website identifies her as a civil rights lawyer and "scholar-activist," helped organise the storming of Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Sunday. In a Facebook post, she claimed that one of the church’s pastors is a leader at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The demonstration is one of many throughout the Twin Cities in protest of...

Every year, the U.S. Census Bureau publishes the Annual Survey of State and Local Government Finances. This is the country’s only source for state and local spending data, allowing a detailed state-by-state comparison. The survey also divides spending data into categories, making it possible to analyze which public services states prioritize. Overall, public welfare is the largest expenditure for most states. However, the level at which states prioritize assistance programs over other public services, such as roads and police, differs. Minnesota, for instance, has a massive welfare system, dedicating a larger share of its revenue to assistance programs than most...

In exclusive footage obtained by Townhall, evidence has emerged suggesting that migrants from the West African nation of Mauritania are exploiting the U.S. immigration and asylum system in Lockland, Ohio, raising serious questions about the integrity and oversight of the process. At the center of the operation is Patricia Golder, who, according to the footage, has turned the alleged manipulation of the asylum process into her business. Golder says she takes a portion of the pay given to the Mauritanian migrants in exchange for helping them navigate the system, and she claims she can bribe judges to rule in the...

Violent protests erupted in several Swiss cities as American flags were burned and riot police clashed with demonstrators ahead of President Trump’s arrival in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum. Trump is scheduled to arrive Wednesday and is expected to deliver a speech at the annual gathering of global political leaders and corporate executives. His visit comes amid heightened tensions with European leaders after Trump doubled down on his push to acquire Greenland for U.S. national security reasons and declined to rule out military options. The Davos forum, held in eastern Switzerland, is one of the world’s most high-profile...

You’ve seen videos of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers struggling to apprehend illegal immigrants in Minneapolis and elsewhere around the country. Many of those immigrants have criminal records. The reason ICE struggles to detain them is that heavily Democratic jurisdictions, such as Minneapolis, specifically make it hard for immigration authorities to detain criminal illegal immigrants. That’s the point of sanctuary laws — to erect a barrier between the illegal immigrant and federal immigration law. In a more normal world, when a person who is in the country illegally and who has committed another crime is released from jail, local authorities...

Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered a frank assessment of how he views the world in a provocative speech in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday, where he said the longstanding U.S.-led, rules-based international order is over and middle powers like Canada must pivot to avoid falling prey to further "coercion" from powerful actors. Without invoking U.S. President Donald Trump by name, Carney referenced "American hegemony" and said "great powers" are using economic integration as "weapons." "Canadians know that our old, comfortable assumption that our geography and alliance memberships automatically conferred prosperity and security is no longer valid," Carney said. As it grapples...
