Pinellas Pasco Judge Greer set October 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. for her feeding tube to be removed. There's something wrong with Florida's exit protocols and the way the courts handle new information re: criminality (misrepresentation, attempted murder, etc.) affecting a case. There was no living will, only the assertion of a very suspect, so-called husband, his brother, etc. that Terri would not want to live on life support. Terri is not on life support, she is not comatose or PVS and she is not living "artificially". She does get sustenance from a feeding tube but only because she has been denied rehabilitation by her so-called husband after he won a malpratice lawsuit three years after her collapse (cause unknown but probably due to strangulation or physical abuse, or both) which is why Terri needs an army of supporters to spread her story from coast to coast. Terri has retained rights that are being sidestepped because she is disabled and has been denied rehabilitation! The technologies of rehabilitation have greatly improved exponentially yet Judge Greer has not let Terri have a chance to learn to eat or to be able to learn to speak/communicate again. Also new information bearing on the case which shows criminality on husband's side has not been considered by the 2nd District Court of Appeals who handed down Mandate for termination of Terri's feeding based upon testimony of criminal husband and brother as above stated. Who is next?

Thank you, phenn ... This information was exactly what I was looking for ... as you noted, there is a difference between suspicion and fact, and from what I've read so far, it is remiss to say "criminal" regarding Michael Schiavo ... highly suspect, definitely. I did not want any of the posters to think otherwise.

Pegita, you are right. M. Schiavo's conduct may not be "criminal." We have divorced "criminality" from "immorality" for too long. In fact, for many "good" is evil and "evil" is good!

Pegita, it may not even take a weary judge. The federal judge this is to go in front of is Richard Lazarra. From what I've been told about him, two things work in Terri's favor. One is that he is a devoted Catholic. Let's face it, Catholics aren't super hip on the idea of killing people off. It simply goes against their teachings.

The other good tick is that Lazarra's entire family are reported to be major humanitarians. One sibling is said to run missionary and hospital efforts here and overseas to help children who are disfigured due to burn and injury.

With those two values as part of their character make-up, one could assume that the Lazarra family - including Richard Lazarra - take human life pretty seriously and have aspirations to serve this notion.

Just an opinion.

Thanks again, phenn ... your information is so encouraging and gives better direction to the prayer efforts on Terri's behalf. My Dad spent some time in a Catholic nursing home ... several short stays, as a matter of fact ... and each time the Living Will was discussed. On the subject of nutrition and hydration, the facility WOULD NOT withhold either because of their belief, no matter if that were the patient's request. May the Lord give such a strong stance to this Judge ...

Been there ... Done that ... Both my legs are paralyzed, my left arm is partially paralyzed, and I've got a bunch of other little corresponding disabilities ... But no freekin' liberal judge ever condemmed me to death !!!

I don't understand why Terry's parents can't be made her legal guardians. I haven't read the whole story, but it seems to me that if the man wants so badly to be her "ex-husband," why can't he get a divorce but give up custody to her parents, who obviously want to see her live? Seems that maybe the rumors of criminal wrongdoing on his part are more than just rumors... particularly after the bone scan findings of multiple major traumas.

Because he is a major creep! He is not Terri's loving "husband". He has been living with another woman Jody Centzone for the last 10 years. He has children with Jodi. What he has done to this family is beyond immoral. I only hope that one day he suffers as much pain as he has caused.

It seems the Pasco Pinellas state judge, George W Greer, has ruled mostly in favor of the so-called "husband" and the people he has gotten to say Terri is "PVS" (permanent vegetative state) and that the 2nd District Court of Appeals either accepted this or ruled that she was and/or that the mere testimony of Michael Schiavo and a couple collaborators saying she would not want to live on life support or "artificially" was enough for her to be put to death by terminating her feeding and dehydrating/starving her to death. It doesn't seem to matter that Michael in some of the affidavits which were brought forth after Jeb Bush wrote/faxed a letter to Greer make a difference on the original ruling even though they show his criminal actions, words, deeds, etc. Apparently no new evidence can change the ruling. The court/legal system appears to be "screwed up". Michael had won a malpractice lawsuit where he stipulated her rehabiliation but after he got the money he did the opposite, he secluded her and prevented her rehabiliation. Also judge Greer allowed Terri's rehabilitation monies to be spent to pay for Michael's attorney George J. Felos who has gotten Mr. Greer to rule in his favor in regards to commencing terminating her life on Oct. 15. I was at the court room on Sept. 11 and Felos wanted it to commence on Sept. 11 that very day at 5p.m. The judge admitted said "I know" when people said that she was a human being. He said it in an annoyed fashion. Through all the logic any man of integrity would have ruled in Terri's favor to have her rehabilitated so that she could learn to communicate and eat, etc. so that she could go outside in the sun, etc. but this judge doesn't listen to reason. He is of the type that is corrupt in his thinking and will rule the other way just to spite the people who love Terri and because IMO he is a bad man and if you read all the info. at www.terrisight.org and if easier to read certain texts at:

you will see that he is very corrupt and even tried to hide his actions and even got the sherrif (Sherrif Rice) to make a fool of himself and break the law, etc. He ruled by fax after the Sept. 11 hearing in that he said he would postpone his ruling until the next week (so that he wouldn't have to hear or deal with some of Terri's family and supporters who were gathered in force there). And was anyone surprised at his ruling? No. He has just handed down the death sentence of Terri and to absolve himself of anything criminal says that he is following the mandate of the 2nd District Court of Appeals. No matter the evidence in the affidavits which were entered into the court records from the Emergency Federal Hearing of Lazarra. No matter that they show the utmost criminal intentions of the so-called "husband" and "guardian" of Terri but also that the judge who also represents as a "guardian" was remiss to stick up for a disabled person who deserves to live and has the will to live. Oh, but during some other previous testimony "the hairs stood up on the back of his neck" after hearing some of the things spoken about, etc. I guess he is a closed minded judge who errs on the side of death for disabled people because he is a sportsminded able person who is not used to disabled people. He does not uphold the constitution of his state nor of the Federal level. He is a menace and a disgrace and he has ruled and that is final- he has as stated before succeed in giving Terri her death sentence and there is nothing that can be done. Or is there?

I'm not sure but if she was my sister I would definitely do my utmost to take her somewhere safe where she would be out of the clutches of Michael Schiavo, George J. Felos, George W. Greer (who made the final death sentence stick) and the whole legal system of Florida which has no conscience, plus even the Attorney General's of Florida and the Governor who won't call a special session in the legislature to save Terri or the President of the US who doesn't answer his e-mails because they made it to hard to communicate with him and the Vice President who when sent a fax does not respond and the Attorney General of this great nation, John Ashcroft who as well doesn't give a damn. I would also try to stay away from the majority of the media who are semantically stupid and biased to give criminals every chance to distort their story to make it seem like they are in the right, etc. and that they are good people when reason says that they are monsters and when reason can see right through their phoniness and hiding behind the law which seems to do what they want it to do, etc.

Well, that's just it. Disability is not a crime. But, it is (apparently) a death sentance to estranged spouses and biased judges.

Why do you suppose Jeb Bush got out of the fight when George W. Greer and Michael Schiavo denounced him publicly. Shiavo used practically "fighting words" against the governor. Greer said he was putting Bush's letter in the "file," and he said it in a most demeaning way.

Why won't Bush stand up for decency? Even if he cannot legally stop the starvation, he could make a PR show, like he did for the man who insisted on breaking homeowners association rules to fly his flag.

And Charles Crist was supposed to be a really reliable conservative. He is nowhere to be found in the fight. Isn't he from Pinellas or a nearby county as well?

Where is Jimmy Carter, that self-stated paragon of compassion and virtue?

This simply cannot be allowed to be the final end of this woman. There must be a organized plan that can legally isolate her from this evil system. As far as not returning E-Mail messages I have no answer but Jehovah God Almighty in Heaven can bring much to bear on her husband through the prayers of his saints. I'm not sure if its biblical but it bears repeating in this case Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! Someone or group must step up and become her Champion!
