Pinellas Pasco Judge Greer set October 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. for her feeding tube to be removed. There's something wrong with Florida's exit protocols and the way the courts handle new information re: criminality (misrepresentation, attempted murder, etc.) affecting a case. There was no living will, only the assertion of a very suspect, so-called husband, his brother, etc. that Terri would not want to live on life support. Terri is not on life support, she is not comatose or PVS and she is not living "artificially". She does get sustenance from a feeding tube but only because she has been denied rehabilitation by her so-called husband after he won a malpratice lawsuit three years after her collapse (cause unknown but probably due to strangulation or physical abuse, or both) which is why Terri needs an army of supporters to spread her story from coast to coast. Terri has retained rights that are being sidestepped because she is disabled and has been denied rehabilitation! The technologies of rehabilitation have greatly improved exponentially yet Judge Greer has not let Terri have a chance to learn to eat or to be able to learn to speak/communicate again. Also new information bearing on the case which shows criminality on husband's side has not been considered by the 2nd District Court of Appeals who handed down Mandate for termination of Terri's feeding based upon testimony of criminal husband and brother as above stated. Who is next?

Let's make a difference! Thank you for your efforts.

He got the main points out. Seemed at a loss when interviewer asked, will the Schindlers pursue any legal action against the husband if this thing goes through? But otherwise he conveyed the unfairness of the action and his family's tragic desperation.

I will keep an eye on msnbc and if it's rerun, type it out as fast as I can.

Please keep pleading, etc. with FL Gov. Jeb Bush:

from helpterri yahoogroup:

It was a long day. There was an incredible number of media there and a number of people were interviewed for national TV.

At about 10 AM, the family learned that their request to meet with the Gov. was approved and so they raced off to see him at 11. He wasn't in Tallahassee but somewhere nearer. They returned a few hours later. Bobby (Terri's brother) said he felt a little better. The Governor was very kind and very sympathetic, said he didn't know what he could do but was having his staff look for some way he could help. I don't think he would have said that, giving them a little hope, if that weren't true. I do think the Governor really wants to save Terri. Bobby said he expressed his grief at Terri's plight.

Someone who saw the Governor on TV just after that said he looked as if he had been crying.

At a little after 2, there was an announcement that the mother and the parents priest could visit her. The tube had been taken out and I was told shortly after she was already groggy, so they are obviously loading her up with sedatives or pain meds so that they can say her death was "peaceful". Mary, her mother, came out crying.

I didn't talk to the family after that visit - a private time - but the media piled all over them.

Every member of the family frequently expresses their gratitude and amazement at all the support and love.

Please don't give up yet, everybody. There is still a tiny tiny ray of hope.

Christina

---

We want media coverage but it is up to the governor, if he can find a way to save Terri. No TV show can do that now.
Keep praying.
Christina

The only thing I can think of is try and get the DA to look into this case to charge this man with murder. Maybe then he would have the feeding tube reinserted if the DA would consider charging him.

Could you find out who the DA is and we could flood his office with calls and email? Based on the evidence originally found when Terri's brain damage occurred, he should be charged with murder.

I can believe any man who would keep her parents from being with their daughter could easily have caused her brain damage.

Heavenly Father, our hearts are again breaking to know that Terri is slipping away from her beloved parents ... that they must be under guard just to be with her a short time. Father, I don't know if we can withstand seeing this torture ... and if it is so difficult for us, we can only hope that You will enfold this family in Your arms, for their grief is insufferable.

Thank You for the assurance that there are those looking for a way to yet bring Terri out of this pit of evil ... now we see how cunning and clever is the enemy, to write words in such a way that a law gives access to murder. But You are the giver of words ... and I pray that You will put forth those very words needed to free this beloved child. And, yet, You are not limited to any means for saving Terri from starvation ... we pray, Father, with every fiber of our being, that You will rescue this one who is perishing ... to You be all honor and glory, in the Blessed name of Jesus, Amen ...

Details of O'Reilly segment...

She's been in a vegetative state, says the guest host...
Asks brother if this is the end.
Brother: Our family is holding out hope.
Any legal remedies?
Atty Patricia Anderson says she thinks none. "Help will not come from the judicial system, that's clear."
Criminal prosecution?
Attorney: Felony to withhold food from a disabled adult...but...probably a political question.
Brother says they feed her once a day and will now not do that. We try to talk to her and encourage her, telling her there are thousands of people praying for her and supporting her.
Ever since the falling out in 1993 they have not had personal contact with Schiavo, it's all through attorneys.
Why are you hopeful of Terry's condition?
Brother: Many doctors have said she can be taught.
Attorney: Terry is quite responsive, grossly misrepresented in the media, says attorney.

Counterpoint guest Glenn McGee, author of "Beyond Genetics." Says there has never been a case in history when a person in PVS "like this" has recovered. The courts have decided the husband was the correct person to make the decision and the medical facts are clear, no one has ever said this woman could recover.

We asked for an emergency session, and Jeb did not reply. I don't think he will do any more for Terri than the French Dauphin did for Joan of Arc.

Hannity & Colmes recap:

Colmes: "severely brain-damaged..." Who gets to decide?
Lis Wiehl (Fox legal analyst): Terri left no written will. Court must define her intent, legal standard is clear and convincing evidence. They decided to believe the husband.
AC: Bush trying to get involved---appropriate?
LW: Federal judge pulled out, no jurisdiction. Governor is trying to do something he believes in.
SH: This woman will die a horrible death. (Shows video) She clearly responds...does any court have the right to decide she shouldn't live?
LW: This is heartbreaking, BUT...the court has to decide.
SH: Conflicting testimony...horrible death by starvation, you don't see anything wrong with that?
LW: The court has found...
SH: We had the father on, this man is heartbroken. Out of respect for him, why won't this husband grant their wishes...
LW: Court has to decide.
SH: So a woman dies.

Wiehl just said the same thing repeatedly. Maybe just reflex there, not real cognition.

Earlier watching OReilly, the atty for the Schindlers was on with Terri's brother.

The atty said that every option seems to be exhausted.

But she said something I had not heard elsewhere, that there is a Florida statute that states that food cannot be withheld from a disabled adult.

I hope someone is moving on this.

Well then, when he says he's done "all he can do" both of us know he's a lying sack of sh*t.
Too bad most other people are going to take him at his word.
