Pinellas Pasco Judge Greer set October 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. for her feeding tube to be removed. There's something wrong with Florida's exit protocols and the way the courts handle new information re: criminality (misrepresentation, attempted murder, etc.) affecting a case. There was no living will, only the assertion of a very suspect, so-called husband, his brother, etc. that Terri would not want to live on life support. Terri is not on life support, she is not comatose or PVS and she is not living "artificially". She does get sustenance from a feeding tube but only because she has been denied rehabilitation by her so-called husband after he won a malpratice lawsuit three years after her collapse (cause unknown but probably due to strangulation or physical abuse, or both) which is why Terri needs an army of supporters to spread her story from coast to coast. Terri has retained rights that are being sidestepped because she is disabled and has been denied rehabilitation! The technologies of rehabilitation have greatly improved exponentially yet Judge Greer has not let Terri have a chance to learn to eat or to be able to learn to speak/communicate again. Also new information bearing on the case which shows criminality on husband's side has not been considered by the 2nd District Court of Appeals who handed down Mandate for termination of Terri's feeding based upon testimony of criminal husband and brother as above stated. Who is next?

'K I really had hesitated suggesting this but maybe a small fire at the hospice could be arranged and in the confusion they could grab Terri and jet w/ her? Desperate times call for desperate measures....oh and a bit of civil disobediance dosen't hurt!

No fires! No alarms. It scares the residents :'). However these halls tend to be long and if I saw the family taking her out it would take me awhile to get back to the desk to call for help. Arthritis, you know.

Someone mentioned on another thread that we should get the pope involved. He has come out in support of sparing people on death row, i'm sure he'd be supportive of an innocent person like Terri.

You know it! My post was in direct response to the despair of the parents, that I cannot even begin to comprehend. Read post 2,356. It makes sense that they might do it this way and if so all the better, for Terri's sake and her family.

Being afraid they would be euthanized, 90% of the Floridians have packed their bags and moved elsewhere. There are no buyers for the homes. Florida's governor recommends to any illegal Cuban immigrant, if he can get to Florida he can have a free house until he is euthanized. The homes now come with a free burial plot, or cremation, whichever the guyer prefers.

She needs to be protected, like a child.
Imagine her fear - hauled off to some hospital, without having her family around - knowing, having been told, what they intend to do to her. I don't know if she knows that it is almost impossible now for her family to see her. I bet she is in incredible fear. Hopefully, they have sedated her.

I also had heard that the plan was to move Terri because the removal was a surgical procedure, requiring a Doctor. And somewhere in the beginning posts to one of these threads, it was mentioned that Terri would be cremated ... the Schindlers desperately need our prayers ...

Heavenly Father, we have no words of comfort to give to the parents of this dear child ... You know where she is and what is about to happen ... we continue to plead before You, our Righteous Judge, that You would draw her out of this, that she may return to her parents, to live as natural a life as they can provide. Tend their broken hearts as only You can ... they are without earthly hope, but You are Hope Eternal. We pray that you will give her more time here, she has been such an inspiration to us. We also pray that should evil win, our resolve will not be destroyed and that we will continue the fight against evil.Forgive our sins Father, and forgive theirs also, surely they know not what they do.
