Pinellas Pasco Judge Greer set October 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. for her feeding tube to be removed. There's something wrong with Florida's exit protocols and the way the courts handle new information re: criminality (misrepresentation, attempted murder, etc.) affecting a case. There was no living will, only the assertion of a very suspect, so-called husband, his brother, etc. that Terri would not want to live on life support. Terri is not on life support, she is not comatose or PVS and she is not living "artificially". She does get sustenance from a feeding tube but only because she has been denied rehabilitation by her so-called husband after he won a malpratice lawsuit three years after her collapse (cause unknown but probably due to strangulation or physical abuse, or both) which is why Terri needs an army of supporters to spread her story from coast to coast. Terri has retained rights that are being sidestepped because she is disabled and has been denied rehabilitation! The technologies of rehabilitation have greatly improved exponentially yet Judge Greer has not let Terri have a chance to learn to eat or to be able to learn to speak/communicate again. Also new information bearing on the case which shows criminality on husband's side has not been considered by the 2nd District Court of Appeals who handed down Mandate for termination of Terri's feeding based upon testimony of criminal husband and brother as above stated. Who is next?

If "he" means Bill O'Reilly, then here is a copy of my post #4686 on the monster thread. Also, there was another thread at the time of the show the other day, which had viewpoints from some other Freepers. You might look that thread over, too. Here's mine:

Well, O'Reilly had on both Felos and Patricia Anderson. The pictures of Terri show someone who is obviously not in a coma, and not what people commonly think of as PVS. She looks like a disabled person. A living, breathing, yet impaired individual!

O'Reilly asked if it wouldn't be fair for the court to give Terri a year to see if the therapist could help her, and if not, then decide what to do about it then? Felos said that this case was not about euthanasia, it was about a person's right to control their body. Pat Anderson said this is nothing more than euthanasia. Why didn't Michael ever spend any of the money from Terri's award on her therapy? She said the money has never been spent on any therapy for Terri.

O'Reilly tried to tell Felos that we still don't have the right to commit suicide in this country, but Felos countered that we have the right to refuse medical procedures.

They showed a few pics of Michael and he is even more imposing than I thought! I hate this whole thing.It makes me sick to my stomach. Prayers for you, Terri, and your family and everyone else involved in your fight!

The good news is that Terri's fight will now be a national story, at least for a little bit. Thank God that O'Reilly finally listened to some of his e-mail, and let this air again.

Please forgive me, I didn't mean to make you feel badly for suggesting O'Reilly as a resource. Bill O'Reilly is definitely not a pro-life individual. He is, however, a man given to determined work when he feels an injustices is being done. He has proven that, repeatedly. Sadly, he hasn't reached that conclusion regarding Terri because he doesn't have sufficient background information on the PVS developments in America over the past decade. Biology mat not be Bill O'Reilly's strong suit.

On another note, I still find it incredible that Greer allows Michael Schiavo to continue as Terri's guardian give the fact that Micahel has taken a common law wife and is fathering children with her. Surely the bigamy statutes in Florida make what he is doing a conflict of interests, especially since he stands to profit monetarily and situationally from having Greer execute Terri for him! Why is the state's attorney general office not getting involved? Can a man marry a woamn, take up with a second woman and have children with her, while still legally married to the first woman, and it not be a conflcit of something in law? Compound that with the truth that Greer has consented to Michael using Terri's rehabilitation monies for the court battle to try and execute her and you see why Greer wants Terri dead and out of his hair, nop longer able to threaten his standing! Time for the Governor's office and the state's atty gen. to get off their butts and do the right thing by this abused (and neglect, willfull neglect of health issues, is abuse, for nay wondering about that) and endangered woman.

WELL, I did a little research, and came up with this about the judge's brother, Tony Lazzara.
He sounds like a saint!

Not at all. The chances of Terri making that much recovery are very, very slim, and I doubt that he is concerned about them.

If that's the case, why not divorce her? The family has indicated a willingness to disown the remainder of the settlement that was supposed to go to Terri's treatment. If Terri doesn't recover, what does Mr. Schiavo lose by divorcing her?

Your post 118: The only law the court need consider is that which counsel for both sides include in their filings. All other case law and or statues have no bearing.

Nonetheless, it's great research on your part, recognizing it is of no value, unless it was included in the arguments before the court, and we don't know the content of the filing, do we.

I just learned of Terri's case about two weeks ago while listening to the Glenn Beck radio program.

I want to know why Rush Limbaugh has championed the so-called 'right' of a fellow Floridian to fly an American flag from a pole at his condo (despite the contract he signed to the contrary) but has completely ignored the very real Right to Life of fellow Floridian Terri Schindler Schiavo.

Rush eats FR for breakfast; there is no way he hasn't heard about Terri.

Can you - or anyone - tell me why he will not (at the very least) mention her fight on his radio show or website?

While we're on the subject, why hasn't Sean Hannity gotten involved? Isn't the Right to Life 'political' enough for these men?
Or is it, perhaps, too political?

I am ashamed of them.
