two words are homophones if they are pronounced the same way but differ in meaning or spelling or both (e.g. bare and bear)

I like that we can’t edit posts. People have to own what they wrote if they don’t have the mods remove it.

That way they can’t post something obnoxious or obscene or insulting and change it later and claim that they never said it.
