"...I can cite many, many instances, sir, as in combat when these men refused to fight with us,
when they shot with their guns over tin this area like this and their heads turned facing the other way.
When we were taken under fire we Americans, supposedly fighting with them, and pinned down in a ditch,
and I was in the Navy and this was pretty unconventional,
but when we were pinned down in a ditch recovering bodies or something
and they refused to come in and help us, point blank refused. I don't believe they want to fight, sir..."

John Kerry didn't even know how to carry his gun properly. No wonder he kept shooting himself in the butt!

Great post!
GRIDLEY ADVENTURES
Were Lt.(jg) John Kerry's 400 GRIDLEY shipmates really on "his boat"????????
"B-52s howling overhead!"
I need to dig up my B-52 graphics!
I can fly a "howling B-52" over my Kohnboatia map!
panic - pressure - howling - bloated - tedious - BUMP!
FR has an endless roster of dedicated talented good folks!
Kerry should have spent his service time honestly on latrine duty and cleaning out the greasetraps!
I'd love to see John Kerry's KD range, moving, and night firing scores!

You are missing my point. The reason even the MSM and libs have to admit that the Christmas in Cambodia story is a lie is because there is absolutely no support for it. There is no after-action or spot report showing Kerry was anywhere near Cambodia on Christmas. His band of brothers don't remember being there. And it's NOT in Brinkley's book. Heck, even Brinkley says it didn't happen.
The "pinned down with bodies in a ditch" story is in Brinkley's book AND tangentially supported by the March 13 after-action report. Without more proof, there is no way you will be able to convince the MSM or libs that it didn't occur.
Now, if you told me Thurlow or Medieros say it never happened, I might begin believing the story's not true. But until then, I will give Kerry the benefit of the doubt on this one.

"He was a ferry master, a drop-off guy, but it was dangerous as hell.
Kerry carries a hat he was given by one CIA operative.
In a part of his journals which I didn't use
he writes about discussions with CIA guys he was dropping off."

" It's in Douglas Brinkley's American History Magazine article, John Kerry's Final Mission in Vietnam: "
This whole article sounds like a figment of Kerry's florid imagination.
All the action takes place on that fateful day when RiceInTheAssMan saved Rassmann- March 13.
Kerry had quite the busy day.
Kerry's description of the village sounds like it may have been the one he torched and videotaped for his home movies.
Kerry somberly intones that the Hung blew up the rice cache.
However, Rassmann told Kranish in the Boston Globe bio that it was basically a kind of practical joke situation and that it was Kerry who blew up the rice cache, that Kerry couldn't run fast enough and he got covered in thousands of grains of rice.
Rassmann said " it was hilarious "

whiz of the bullets over our heads Poor Johnny's been watching too many bad war movies. I don't recall every hearing bullets whiz. They pop or crack as they break the sound barrier or they thwack and snap as they hit leaves or other foliage? "whiz?" hardly.

Thanks for the explanation. Frankly, Kerry has left himself wide open in enough areas that we probably don't have to spend any time where it is a he said, he said.

John Kerry's "The New Soldier" -- Why Is This Book So Hard to Find? Kerry supporters are willing to pay hundreds of dollars to get a copy of Kerry's hard-to-find book, The New Soldier. Some of those bidding on Ebay reveal why. (PRWEB) -- An unusual thing is happening over at Ebay. One of John Kerrys books, The New Soldier, received a bid of $355 and didnt even meet its reserve price. Another copy of the book is up to $147.50 and the bidding isn't over.
It isn't common for the books of presidential contenders to be that expensive. Wesley Clarks book, Winning Modern Wars, is also available on Ebay. One copy has an asking price of $15.00, another is going for $9.99. Kerry's other books are selling at similarly reasonable prices.
One of the potential buyers says she was drawn to bid on the book because she is a Vietnam vet and interested in Kerry's viewpoint.
Another of the bidders said he'd recently donated to the Kerry campaign because he believes Kerry is the man to beat Bush. John Kerry and his friends were right to do what they did in Washington, D.C. back then. I think the acts discussed in the book show great insight at an early age and quite frankly I want to read the manuscript to make sure my assumptions are correct.
But the reason why a former library book with no dust jacket and slight wear" might fetch an asking price of over three hundred dollars is somewhat more complex.
The description in one of the Ebay listings reads, "Due to the controversial nature of the book, most copies were pulled off the shelves when Kerry decided to run for office making this book a rare find."
The seller of the first book stated that he is a Republican with an open mind and had got his copy signed at the Old Capitol mall in Iowa City when Kerry was campaigning there recently. But he had some reservations about the item he was selling. I am a marine and do not care for the cover of the book, he said. Because what they are actually trying to do is mock the Iwo Jima flag raising done by the marines in the past.
Iwo Jima is where nearly 7000 marines died in World War II. Six marines were forever immortalized in a photograph as they raised the American flag over the island. Only three of the six ever got to go home again.
The cover of "The New Soldier" features a group of long-haired men mimicking the famous photograph with an upside down flag.
We'll probably be seeing a lot more of this rare book in the coming months.

No! The idea that he thinks we will believe that is what he was thinking during a firefight, shows that he thinks we are the morons.

There is some information coming out that Kerry was missing from the military for a couple months before he went to Vietnam. I need to go back and check on what was sent to me.
